Dr Oates is very nice, very thorough and my surgery went well. PA Gerlach is very good at what he does, sometimes very matter-​of-​fact which could be interpreted as abrupt, but he is not. The staff took good care of me, and I felt informed. I did not have the experience of the other review, my appointments were always on time.
My only complaint really is that it took months to get seen to evaluate for surgery and it took a while to schedule the surgery. overall about 6 months from primary referral to surgery.
I chose Dr. Oates because of his sports experience, it was important to me to return to my sports activities.

The office is easy to find and very swanky. However… be prepared to wait, and wait, and wait. I took my 1-​year-​old daughter to 3 appointments here and each time we waited 30 – 40 minutes past our appointment time. When we went for our appointment today, I decided to time everything. We spent 30 minutes (past appt. time) in the waiting room, 10 minutes in the exam room, and then saw the orthopedic surgeon for 4 MINUTES. I’m used to doctors not spending much time with their patients, but this is ridiculous.
On the positive side, everyone was extremely friendly and professional.
