This place is actually crazy good. I honestly didn’t know what to expect when I had to drive to the middle of no where for this place. But to be honest it was worth the drive. Their Jalapeño Burger was amazing. Highly suggested and amazing customer service!!!

Used to be my favorite place to go after fishing. But now the service is poor the Quality of food has gone down. The last three times I ate there it wasn’t worth the money. Today the open sign shinning bright but locked up at 1100 note on the door they will open at noon. Really, well I’ll take my money else where and won’t give you another try. Three strikes today four your out.

Excellent food, obviously quality fresh ingredients and attention to preparation. The service is always first rate, no matter how busy. This is a very small town and the locals are always in here, so that tells you its a great value with consistent food. I had the spinach/feta omelette w/sundried tomatoes added. So good, but too much food for one meal! took ½ home. My husband had chicken-fried steak, which was a real piece of cube steak, battered and deep pan fried with real meat gravy, not the usual frozen job stuck on the grill and smothered in canned gravy. Kudo’s as usual. Everything is made from recipes, not from boxes.

Great customer service! A small hometown café that offers excellent food and friendly service. Good atmosphere to have a comfortable meal. I first ate here before living in the area and I enjoy the location. Good selection of food as well.

I was on my way back to San Diego from Palm Desert and stopped for a beer. I was surprised to see such a good selection of beer. I had to try the split pea soup and I must say it was amazing. Then I had a ½lb Angus Chuck burger with jalapeño and swiss that was great. The service was great. The girls were super cute and nice. I wish it was closer to my hone.

The family and I stopped here for lunch on the way to Palm Springs on a Sunday afternoon. Busy place… lots of tourists coming to enjoy the delicious fare! My son had a kids burger and it was pretty big. He said the bun was fresh and the meat was delicious. I had a burger also and it was amazing! Tasty, fresh, and packed with good ingredients. My husband had a chicken sandwich that he really enjoyed as well. The ONLY reason I marked it down is because of the inefficient manner in which they change over from breakfast to lunch. For almost an hour you can’t get food. The server was really good about letting us know before we sat down, but we were stuck because we wanted to try it. Not good policy.

Rude angry people with a bad attitude. Don’t go there. Poor service. Everyone has a Flippant, don’t bother me attitude. Makes you feel uncomfortable being there. We could not figure out what their problem was. Any, we left. Do yourself a favor, don’t go, just drive on by a few miles further to the Café’s in Idyllwild where there are many good restaurants with good food and kind and accommodating staff.

Best burgers ever! Huge, juicy, tons of flavor, and fresh potato bun. Fun location with views of the mountains and giant beer selection! Only 20 mins or so from Palm Desert. Great place to stop on your way to San Diego or worth a trip on its own!

Ordered a cinnamon roll to share with my husband and it was plenty! Cute little place with a nice outdoor patio to sit on. There was a gentleman there who was a one person solo act singing and strumming a guitar softly. Very friendly staff! Seemed to be a popular stop with motorcycle and cars alike! Decently priced with a full menu to pick from!

Perfect stop while circling around the mountains. Waiter recommended the Joe Burger, both my friend and I ordered same. Delicious bacon, avocado, cheese burger plus fries. Blues or light rock music in the background, perfect volume so people can talk. A waiter and a waitress, both very attentive filling our iced teas and checking on our table. Thank you Paradise Valley Café, we’ll be back!

Stopped by while on a motorcycle ride with my neices, only customer restrooms. Ok, I get it but we order the quesadilla, $ 8.95 for a 12 inch tortilla folded in half with melted cheese in it. No meat, no peppers, nothing. It did come with a small serving cup of red and green sauce as well as a serving cup of guacamole and sour cream. I’m not sure how you mess up guacamole but they did. Service was fine just food quality was poor at best. I won’t be stopping back in unless I see reviews to show they have improved.

This place was a nice little find while driving through the mountains. the prices seemed fair to say the least. but the food quality was lacking, and was served on plastic plates. This place could be better, i suppose some would say that i’m just being picky. It has a terrific view, a unique costumer base(mostly hikers, and travelers) so I would change the menu a bit. When i was there i ordered the Goucho omelet, when it arrived, the was basically scrambled eggs w/chorizo topped with sour cream and hot sauce, sided by hash browns. All that was then suppose to be put into flour tortillias that was served with the meal. i just wasn’t feeling it. it looked too simple, and was not the«omelet» that i expected. anyways, it tasted OK but not good enough for me to drive the 40 minutes up the mountain to eat there again. really is too bad. side note: my wife had to use the rest room, and said that she was told to use the one inside. as she left the rest room, she noticed a door that said«private» right across from the ladies bathroom. she said it seemed strange and creepy. moreover there was a bathroom located outside near the patio seating area, clearly marked but was not available a the time. interesting/strange?

I come to this café quite frequently when we travel to the coast and I can honestly say it’s unfortunate Paradise Valley Café will not be having our service or support any longer. Today an issue came up that we were not able to use the restroom and as customers and supporters of the café and the old man that sits outside playing his guitar every weekend morning were there– maybe it’s a good idea for the Owner Neil, to take more ownership of the community that visits and possibly make a list of people who support his business? Well, good for him and his bad mouth Cindy(waitress«owner» she called herself) who both encourage bad customer service since her and HER other«employees»(her words not mine) bad mouthed a long term employee saying they’ve been there«13 years-» no. Actually, Cindy you haven’t. Because the restaurant down the road, who were very helpful and kind and friendly(as you put on your sign outdoors?) says that Neil– is a very bad owner and his employees don’t last long. I’m happy to find my new restaurant home now– goodbye. Until Neil hands the restaurant to a different owner. Neil– you really need to start writing down customers names for restroom use. You’ve lost business over a minuscule issue.

Anytime we drive up 74 from the desert on our way to idylllwild, or on our way to San Diego we always love to stop at the Paradise Café. My all-time favorite is the split pea soup. They also have amazing salads here. There’s been a few times where we have driven through and they weren’t been open and I get so disappointed. Can’t go wrong with the Cobb salad — it’s huge, we usually split it. the split pea soup is a genius serving as well. great selection of beer and heater at the bar is crazy warm — too much for me. We enjoy the outside seating on warmer days and they usually have someone singing on the weekends.

As avid visitors to the desert cities, the husband and I have repeatedly driven by this place and never stopped. We finally went for breakfast this morning. The ambience of this place is great, quaint, friendly and in the perfect location to break up your drive. On weekends there is even luve music on the patio. After our breakfast experience, i think they are probably better for lunchtime. My guy got the breakfast burrito– which he loved… but my omelette was really overcooked and dry. Even two dishes of salsa didn’t do it justice. Do not get me wrong– This was not a egg whites only or something healthy and lame. I ordered the Anza omelette, even with bacon and lots of fixings it was a hot mess. I saw some other omelette dishes come out– and they all looked well-done. Eggs can be a bitch… I get it– so I think I would go for a burger next time. We will definitely try again!
