Abdollahi Afshin, DMD

I started going to Dr. Abdollahi about three years ago and everything he has done for me has been first rate – fillings, a crown and routine care.
This week I needed to have my two front teeth crowned because they had been showing cracking, a condition of which I had been aware for years, Dr. Abdollahi saw me, undertook the preparation (one and a half hourse) and sent me home. I had a problem overnight and though it was his day off, when I called he offered to come to his office to see me and fix the issue (cement for the temporary that was causing my tongue overnight pain).
I consider this sort of professionalism exceptional and I strongly recommend Dr. Abdollahi.

Dr. Abdollahi is one of the best dentists I have ever been to and I’ve been to my share! First and foremost he charges the fairest and lowest prices for his high quality work. He doesn’t try to push unnecessary services on you and gives you what you need and want, nothing more. Moreover, he is considerate of his patients’ time. For example, as a college student going to UCLA it is important to me to get as much done in one appointment as possible and this is exactly what he does! Unless you’re getting a multi-​step procedure or something he will generally do cleaning, X-​ray, and even fillings all in one sitting. I’ve never been to another dentist with this much compassion and understanding for his patients and I will keep on coming back when I visit home!

Dr. Afshin is a fantastic dentist! My entire family is a big fan and couldn’t be happier. He is not only great at what he does, but very honest and reasonable. I also had invisalign done and have been very satisfied with the result! Every coworker, friend and relative I have referred has raved about his efficiency and gentle work and demeanor.

He does not know his work. He did a crown for me causing an infection and a huge gap between teeth. The he blamed it on the other tooth and recommended a crown for that one too. He did a crown to the next tooth and the problem did not go away. The he sent me to a specialist which he closely works with and the specialist recommended a surgery. I did not agree with that and re did the crown with the same denitst (Afshin Abdollahi). I got a bigger infection and went to another dentist. The other dentist re-​did the corwn perfectly. My infection went away in a week and I can floss my teeth easily with a perfect gap in my teeth and NO need of surgery. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST. On top of thta the customer service is terrible!!!

I called before to make an appointment but they refused. Since it is close to my home, I then drove to this office today to make appointment for my root canal filling. I was armed with a letter from my insurance that states I am assigned to this office starting from ⁰⁴⁄₀₁ (i.e. next week).
The office lady refused to make appoint and insisted to wait till start of April so that she can «see» my name on her roster. I was nice and asked her please help me to make advance appointment and I showed her a letter from my insurance that read I am assigned to this office. She completely ignored it. Then the office manager came in the conversation and was worse. She was rude and said even if you come again next month, we will be too busy and you have to wait 4 to 6 weeks. The tone was loud and rude. I asked if I could speak to the dentist, she said no he is too busy, then she suddenly asked me to leave immediately. It felt like I am asking them for a free service.
The office manager spoke with Persian accent and looked like the dentist when he passed by from one room to another — maybe related to him.
I left the unhappy place and felt I should post this note here. I have no idea about the dentist there.
