Never thought my girls(14&11) would last this long! It’s been over a year since our first class audit. The masters are physically and mentally prepared to teach at every class. They are very patient but will push you to excel your skills. Despite of demanding school work, both of my kids enjoy their routine workout. Several of their school mates have also signed up for the class. It’s been a great experience. Now my husband and I have signed up for weekly Tai Chi Class… another excellent class to meet all levels of interests. The only thing about indoor exercise is the interior temp rises during hot weather. It can be really exhausting at times. But this is act of God, not the act of the Masters. So I would still give them a 5 start for their dedications!

Ok, here’s the dish on Allstar — A few years back, I did wushu with Ben’s Shaolin Kung Fu in Sunnyvale(now defunct location) and it was great but I was attending university then so I didn’t pursue it past the summer. After I had come back, one of the teachers, Master Jack Wu, had branched out and started his own school, Allstar Kung Fu. It’s a young establishment but he did take a good amount of students from Ben over with him and he has a LOT of experience. It may look sketchy from the outside since it’s just a tiny studio in a strip mall but the school is actually incredibly close knit and Master Jack, Master Ray and the new teachers do really care for their students. When it comes to kids, they have the patience of saints. If you’re an adult, they will push you only as hard as you want to be pushed(and they are willing to push you VERY hard). Most of the day is dedicated to children but there is a good core of adult learners ranging from teens to Silicon Valley professionals to parents of students. I have not tried their tai chi class but after having sat in once, I can vouch that it’s pretty intense. Another thing worth noting is that if you are interested in competing and will put in the work, Master Jack is one of the BEST people you could be learning under in the South Bay. He’s sent many students into competition, both kids and adults for various events(IntMAT, CMAT, etc.) and they always come back with medals. P. S.FREEINTROLESSON — don’t be intimidated, they will go through everything with you and particularly if you’re an adult learner, all the students are very supportive and helpful.
