Good, casual, diner style setting. Food was good too. It wasn’t the best brunch I have had but I don’t know why that is. What I loved about their food — Lots of veggies, Not much grease!

4 stars for food Can be a bit too greasy depending on what you order but nothing that would cause heartburn. 5 stars for service Everyone working there are incredibly friendly and attentive. This is what makes me come back every weekend! Absolutely love this place and I would recommend a visit if you’re looking for a cool laid-back breakfast place.

Food was good. Service was friendly. Place was packed. It seems as some of the people that have been coming here for years hate seeing their favorite places get more business. Ignore the sny comments about it being too crowded lately and the ‘been coming here for years like i own the place’ comments.

Found this hidden gem while in Mountain View. Staff is very attentive, food is absolutely amazing. I had the Loma Verde omelette(Bacon, avocado, onion, jack cheese and salsa) with the red roasted potatoes. I asked if they could sauté the potatoes with onions and peppers and they did without any hesitation. My coffee mug was always full and I ate EVERYTHING on my plate.

Was not at all pleased with the food. We shared the Health Nut Scrambler and Shoreline Executive. Both were very bland and needed to be bathed in hot sauce. Servers were coming around trying to refill our coffee every two seconds before our food arrived(sometimes we hadn’t even gotten to take a sip yet), then when we got our food and actually began drinking, not a server was in sight. The ultimate ding — prices are $ 3+ higher per dish than their online menu states. Too many brunch options in this area. Won’t be back.

The staff was very friendly, not much to say there. The environment was clean, but the table next to me was particularly loud. It made the experience a bit less pleasant. I had Fried Chicken and Waffles with 2 sunny side up hash browns, with a side of hash browns. They were delicious. I first started removing the glob of butter. I personally don’t like butter that much, especially in such a large quantity. The first food I gobbled up was the egg. I personally don’t like sunny side up eggs, but I broke under pressure and accidentally ordered the sunny side eggs. They were still good nonetheless. The next victims of my rampage were the hashbrowns. They were disappointingly too small. The hashbrowns did a disappearing act in less than 3 bites. They were excellent hash browns. The top was crispy, and crunchy. The bottom was soft and creamy. I could taste hints of oil, oozing throughout each strand of potato. The next pieces to go were the fried chicken pieces. These were the least satisfying in my opinion. The drumsticks were too salty, and they were basically all skin. Last to go were the thighs, they were mostly all meat. Then again, I never really liked fried chicken.

classic NY Deli type of place, methinks, and I really like coming here for breakfast. Good mix of American classics and some Mexican choices too. Food is quite adequate, the coffee piping hot and constantly refilling. The service is insanely good and attentive, thank you Baji’s team, you are awesome indeed. Gets crowded on weekend mornings, so be forewarned. Wait is not too long typically though.

The skillets are excellent, service is superb… thank you Manuel. One suggestion would be coffee, I found it too strong and burnt. Prices are on the high end but worth it. I will go back!

Delicious food and top-notch service. The staff accidentally served my friend the wrong skillet, they immediately sent it back to the kitchen after we pointed it out. Over the next 20mins, I cannot count how many staff or how many times they have come over to apologize and to offer some extra sides my friend was having. This is truly a down-to-earth joint that’s happy to serve its community amazing breakfast. The variety of the menu ranges from stable breakfast items from Mexico, Charleston and of course California. You can’t go wrong with the fried chicken steak and skillet!

They have pretty much your average diner breakfast food. The service was great. Nothing special about this place.

Great brunch place! Good food — decent service. I’m a big fan — the crisp hash browns are delish. I’m a fan of any of the entrees with the hash browns!

This is probably the most authentic Mexican family-style brunch in the Peninsula. Very homey and cozy setting, impressive brunch serving. I ordered the Funhouse Hangover skillet. The mixed taste of bacon, pickle, fresh pepper, union and red potato is simply unforgettable! What a great way to spend an early afternoon with NFL semi-final!

Quickly fell in love with this place. I’ve only gotten breakfast so far and have never been disappointed. And you can tell that the people who work here really take ownership of the place and enjoy running it and providing the service to their customers. Highly recommended!

I discovered Bajis Down the Street Café about a decade ago and my son and I have been coming here for Sunday breakfast/brunch ever since. Great food and great service! It’s a homey kind of place, and the chefs really know how to turn out fantastic breakfasts. We love their Café Builder omelets — you get to choose 3 vegetables, 1 meat and 1 cheese and it’s prepared to order. They also have delicious skillets of various kinds, with eggs any style on top of it all. We often get their Slammers with either French toast or pancakes, sausage, bacon, ham or linguica. Friends have really enjoyed their authentic Mexican huevos rancheros breakfast too. Sports-themed throughout with many autographed photos and jerseys, multiple TVs tuned to sports in the two indoor rooms as well as the two outdoor dining areas(the outdoor areas have heaters for chilly weather and are pet-friendly). There are two restrooms, one just outside the north entrance and the other one through the second room into a rear area of the restaurant. They are open for breakfast and lunch — their lunches are delicious too, I have had their burgers, fish and chips and other delicious meals. Being a garlic lover, I enjoy the little silver cup full of finely minced fresh garlic they provide on request for anything I want to put it on. They make really good garlic fries too. After so many years of going there, I feel as if the owner and staff are my friends. They often chat with us when it’s not busy(that happens less often on Sundays, because Bajis is a very popular spot). We highly recommend Bajis! I have heard that they do catering as well, and the entire restaurant is available for private affairs.

My friend and I both ordered skillets — the shoreline skillet for her, and the café skillet for me. I’m a big fan of any brunch entrée with potatoes/hashbrowns and cheese, so this hit the spot. With an over easy egg on top, it reminded me of a particular emoji . I don’t normally care about service when reviewing a restaurant, but the service was very friendly and accommodating. We were given the option of immediate seating on the patio or waiting a few minutes for an indoor seat. After opting for the patio, the waiter then told us to let us know if we’d like to move inside given it was a little chilly. A few minutes later, another waiter asked if we were in a hurry, so as to be considerate of our time and get our food orders going. I’ve never had this happen to me before and was not in a hurry, but I appreciated the gesture.

Bajis offers many breakfast, brunch, and lunch items, and the service is SUPREME! Such a delightful plan to have breakfast! I am so glad that my girlfriend(Dacia M.) introduced me to Bajis! MMMMM, MMMM, GOOD!!! Not only is the food tasty, but I must comment on the service again. The employees go above and beyond to make sure their customers are happy and content. 10 stars for service!

Aw maaaan I REALLY wanted to love Bajis. With so many great reviews and it’s awesome laid back old school diner vibe, I thought this would be our new go-to breakfast spot. Sadly, my husband and I both agreed that our food was subpar. He ordered the biscuits and gravy breakfast and I had the belgian waffle with two eggs. I don’t know where these eggs came from or how they were prepared, but they were stuck to my plate and fairly dry /flavorless. The waffle was on the smaller side and got kind of tough/springy as it cooled. Not fluffy at all. My meal wasn’t inedible, but I was expecting a lot more. If it had cost like five bucks I probably wouldn’t have complained, but it was reminiscent of a free motel breakfast. Coffee on the other hand was very fresh, suuuper strong, and set us back $ 3.25 a cup. The biscuits and gravy portion was huge, but half of the potatoes were burnt to a crisp and one of the over easy eggs was incredibly under cooked(runny whites). No bueno. 2 stars for food, 5 stars for service. Everyone working was incredibly attentive and friendly. Seriously awesome service. And the place was packed with several parties waiting… so maybe it was just bad luck on our part? Did we come on a bad day?

Bajis is a great place to eat breakfast if you’re in the MTV area close to Google. I enjoy the casual atmosphere and the old school feel. The food is solid though not extraordinary. The omelettes are always on the edge of burnt. The eggs will be browned a bit but not enough to alter the taste more than ensuring its a bit dry. The toast is usually over toasted. But aside from that, everything is tasty and the coffee is good.

Traditional breakfast place with lots of choices on the menu. Go for the food and not necessarily the ambiance because it’s more of a locals place. Good size portions and we had good service as the food came promptly. We’ll be back.

We went here 2 weeks ago since we were in town to watch a game and I found this place through Unilocal for breakfast! I liked the vibe of this place, it seemed like a local’s spot and the service was good. Pricing was also pretty average for what we got. I had the Eggs Benedict, boyfriend had the Chicken Fried Steak and his brothers had the Funhouse Hangover and the French Dip! The Eggs Benedict was a good size and I really liked their Hollandaise sauce. The ham was also nicely proportionate and the hashbrowns were perfectly cooked. They could have given a little bit more hashbrowns though. I also had a taste of my boyfriend’s Chicken Fried Steak and it was also tasty however I think needed a little bit more seasoning and I was sad that the breading kind of slid off. The gravy had nice flavor though. I didn’t taste the other two items since they inhaled it lol but they said their options were solid. I also like the fact that they offer fresh squeezed orange juice. Overall, as Unilocal says, A-OK. Nothing crazy amazing but I was definitely satisfied and happy with my choice. If I’m in the area again, I would come back knowing I’d get a solid breakfast :)

Like the school style café and atmosphere is nice. Staff are really friendly and always laughing and smile(sign of someone enjoying their jobs). The menu has loads of different meals to choose but I had to play safe because I don’t want my burning bum to get any worst. I had the chicken steak with hash and gravy. It had FOURSLICESOFTRIANGLETOAST! I never heard this many toast before in my Hong Kong/China. I ordered a cup of coffee and they even thrown a cup of iced water, that’s love. Overall: Really enjoyed being and eating there.

We came here for brunch and, although the place looks meh from the outside, it’s an old school diner inside. I ordered the Loma Verde and asked them to substitute tomatoes for the bacon since I wanted a veggie omelet with avocado(the veggie option they had was too healthy. it had broccoli). The omelet also came with a choice of toast and potatoes– I picked 9 grain toast and hash browns because hash browns are . The food took some time to come, but that just means it’s fresh! And the place was also packed on Labor Day morning. There was soo much food on the plate– the omelet was full of avocado and the hash browns were nice and crispy. Overall, I really enjoyed the breakfast! I’d probably go for sourdough toast next time since 9 grain was just alright and my toast was a little burnt. Would I come back? yes!

Bajis is a local’s type of place located on Old Middlefield just inside of the Mountain View boarder from Palo Alto. I regularly meet my Dad here for breakfast when I’m back in town. I like that Bajis isn’t pretentious like many of the store fronts that are popping up in MV, PA or LA. Its a dinner feel with quality service, delicious food and Peets coffee! Bajis has prompt service and waiters that regularly check up to see if you need more water or coffee but never walk up to you mid-bite to ask how the food is. They already know how the food is. It’s great. The indoor seating can get crowded and a little loud but there is a lovely covered outdoor patio that has heaters that can be turned on in the early mornings. The parking lot is ample but occasionally I’ve found myself in a tight spot that took a 5 point turn to exit.

Located in a run down strip mall, I came here with no expectations but was pleasantly surprised. The place is small but has plenty of seating. We were seated and helped pretty quickly. They have an interesting menu, lot of varieties of breakfast choices. We got the french toast and cross the border omlette. The omlette was very good, french toast was just meh. Service was good, staff was friendly. Will come back here again.

Well, probably just had the most disappointing brunch to date here. Pretty sad since this had become my go-to brunch spot and I would always bring friends here. Our food came out about 10 minutes apart, and it would have been longer had I not said something. I had to flag a waiter because they hadn’t noticed the time lag at all. Hubby’s food came out cold. My pancakes tasted like they had rotten bananas in them making them pretty hard to put down. They said they were sorry, but their sorry didn’t extend as far as the check which they could have given us at least a little discount on since our meal was just plain bad. I gave them a chance to make things right but they clearly didn’t care about me as a customer. Will not be returning here and I wouldn’t recommend trying it. I will take my brunching elsewhere.
