The service can lax here, but it’s generally good. Especially the weekday afternoon crew. We like to bring the dogs for a chill breakfast or brunch. My wife just wishes the salmon bennie was served on weekdays!

We just love this place! We live near by and this is our spot for our weekend breakfast. The service is super! This guys are kind and quick and even my 18 months old just love going there. They give her a smily face fruit plate and she is so pleased. Great food, especially the weekend menu.

Good coffee cake. Pretty standard American breakfast fare. The cinnamon tea is great!

My favorite place for breakfast or brunch. I hardly know most of the menu though, since I always end up getting the special«Ommie» of the week along with coffee. Great staff, great food.

Nice pumpkin pancakes. French toast was a little bit dry. Son had the grown up grilled cheese with Bacon and thin slices apple. He liked it. There was so much food that we had to get the blueberry coffee cake to go. Friendly waiters and prompt service.

My go-to breakfast for most Saturdays is blueberry pancakes but you’d be surprised how many breakfast places cannot make good blueberry pancakes. Hobee’s pancakes are really good! I get them with a blueberry compote on top and a little syrup to thin the compote. Hobee’s has a decent compote that’s a little sweet for me but very tasty. The place is a bit drab on the inside but the quality of the food makes up for it. Unless you absolutely have to have great aesthetics, you won’t go wrong eating here.

The coffee cake is the only reason to come here. Other food is just not good. The restaurant is kinda dirty and full of flies and service is just ok. I’d recommend going to Mcdonalds or Krispy Crème a few blocks away or the Mi Pueblos food window across the street. If you really need a sit down place then go to café brioche or Pastis off California in Palo Alto, or Mayfield Bakery off Embarcadero. This place is just not good unless you are picking up coffee cake to bring home. It’s sad because with a little bit of care it could be a much better restaurant.

Don’t understand the great reviews at all. Our breakfast dishes were all among the blandest, worst meals we’ve had in awhile.

Of all their locations, this one is their best. The food, the service, all of it has been great. It has become a Sunday habit after going to the Mountain View Farmers’ Market. Do yourself a favor, go here for brunch, sit outside, enjoy the coffee and have a savory breakfast. You can’t go wrong.

Blueberry coffeecake with butter is sumptuous. South of the border omelette is delicious.

This is an updated review from my most recent experience. Background: after my last review I was contacted by the owner to give them another shot. They had no idea when I would be coming or even who I was. I went on a Sunday morning. Service: THESERVICEWASAMAZING! I couldn’t imagine how their service could be better than it was before, but it really is great. The staff works as a team and didn’t mind helping me in any way, even if I was not sitting at the table they were waiting on. Food: the food came out quickly and was pretty good. I love breakfast potatoes, but theirs needed a little more life(maybe crisper and a little more seasoning). Advice: if you are looking for exceptional customer service, come here!

I come here pretty often with my boyfriend for weekend brunch. I really like their huevos benedicto… The avocado and tomatoes always taste fresh and the poached eggs always come out perfectly. :) And like everyone mentioned already, the coffee cake is amazing. The service is a little bit slow somedays.

Other than the blueberry coffeecake, which is GIANT and very tasty, this is a standard decent breakfast spot. Whatever you get, just make sure it comes with the coffeecake, or add it as a side, and plan to share between 2 – 4 people :-) This particular location is close to me and has plenty of parking, so that’s nice.

I hate giving ok reviews but the food was okay here. I trod and now I’m good. The banana. Offer cake was good but honestly the rest of the food was mediocre. Looks better in picture ham taste. Bi out Waiter was nice and the place looks like an old school dinner which takes you back in time… The food was not impressive, would go back for the banana toffee coffe cake… That’s about it

The coffee cake is awesome, it’s very large and is hot withered butter, I always get the high hat special with a poached egg on top, it tastes so good. The have cinnamon tea that is really strong. Good service good food, not the cheapest place in town.

Hobee’s is a wonderful reminder about why I love Northern California– it’s unpretentious, unassuming, and humble. That being said, the food is mostly sub-par except for the DELICIOUS blueberry coffee cake. That my friend, is worth making the trip for. The orange cinnamon tea is also a great pick!

I’ve been to several different Hobee’s but I’m going to review this one. It’s a good breakfast place but it wouldn’t go there for any other meal, that’s just my opinion. I predict we found the staff at this location to be pretty slow it was an extraordinarily busy but they didn’t seem to be in a hurry. The food is simply okay nothing spectacular nothing special but they put different recipes together to call it something fancy but over all the food is just okay. So again if you need a dependable Playstead breakfast it’s okay.

I don’t go to Hobee’s often even though there are two to three of them near my hood but on MLK day, I met up with a couple of gfs for brunch. I ordered the 49ers scrambled with their«new» raspberry coffee cake. IT was $ 11 well spent as the portion was pretty generous… especially the COFFEECAKE! The scrambled was just the right portion and pretty delicious, loved the gorgonzola cheese on my eggs. it gave that different type of kick of saltiness and the sage… reminded me of the Thanksgiving turkey that I made! yummmm… Now. the coffee cake. I have to admit that unlike most people who love love love hobee’s coffee cakes. I wasn’t one of them. I never was a fan of coffee cakes. But the raspberry coffee cake got me converted! Seriously… the serving was HUMUNGOUS! huge piece. enough for 3 to share! I didn’t finish mine and I’m a big eater! It was served WARM which made it even more delectable. The raspberry gave a bit of freshness and tanginess to the usually blah coffee cakes… and the cake itself wasn’t overly sweet… just right! My gf ordered a side of apple sausages… it was $ 3.99 for 4 links. what a steal! Will certainly go back for more raspberry coffee cakes! yumm!
