Great wings! These guys have it dialed in on wings and service. I highly recommend stopping by for some craft beer, wings and pizza. Try the salads if you get a chance as it was just as tasty. Thanks Josh!

Second visit and I think it was better than the first. Call me a creature of habit or I just know what I want but the same thing was ordered both times. We got the garlic bread appetizer(See pics) which comes with cheese on it and fresh basil shredded on top. It almost looks like they make a cheese and garlic sauce less pizza and cut it into wedges. Also served with a tomato sauce that can I can only assume contains crack. When the bread is gone I’d eat the leftover sauce with a spoon! The first time I saved the sauce to put on my pizza when it came out and quickly found out that it was an unnecessary endeavor because the pizza came with PLENTY! And the pizza… WOW! Close to two inches of tomato, meat and veggie wonderment that I’ve not experienced before! True deep dish pizza where the toppings are the hero and not an inch plus of crust. The crust is in comparison to most«Deep dish» that you see on the west coast is thin MAYBE a quarter of an inch and isn’t the star of the bite. The star in this case is the tomato and meatball and pepperoni and basil and whatever you order on it. While the crust itself is great it’s merely the carrier for the rest of the adventure you’re about to take. This pizza is for the true lover of food. If anything in my dinner was pre-packaged I’d be flabbergasted. It’s way too good, way too fresh and you can tell is prepared on site daily. The pizza we got(both times because it was that good) was the half meatball and half Classic. The meatball comes with cut up(not sliced) chunks of what have to be home made meatballs, ricotta, spinach, mushrooms, and red bell peppers. The ricotta is in the form of what looks like they took a melonballer and placed a big scoop on each slice. Soo good and creamy with the consistency of meringue and a flavor only good ricotta can deliver. The other half was the classic and it’s loaded with Italian sausage, mushrooms, onions, and green bell peppers. The first time it was PACKED and we were lucky to get seats at the bar so we just ate there and the bartender was great! Very attentive and good at his craft. This last trip we caught them a a rare lull and waltzed right into a table. The lull however didn’t last long and the place was packed within 15 minutes of our arrival. Our server, a man who’s name I forget but he had a distinct haircut, did a fantastic job of taking care of us. I can’t recommend this place highly enough! Great food, great service and a pretty good selection of micro brews and some local stuff too.

After my last review, the management did contact me and convinced me to try it again which I did the last weekend and it was really nice. The garlic bread as the appetizer was fabulous. But after eating the appetizer I had to order a thin crust. So I missed out again on trying out the deep dish. But this has become a regular for me now and it wont be long till I try the deep dish. But in short great nice place to go if you are in mood of a pizza.

My parents were visiting the Bay Area for the first time since I moved from Connecticut almost a year ago. I was eager to take them to Blue Line Pizza for a few reasons, 1. California doesn’t know how to do pizza compared to the east coast, but out of any of the pizza places this is definitely the best. and 2. They have gluten free crust. I’ve visited Blue Line before and was wowed by their deep dish pizza, I would always suggest here for date nights but I didn’t want to get sick of it by eating it too often. It’s a nice treat. We came for lunch on a slow Monday and I believe the only other people in there was a larger party on a lunch break. We were greeted by Gael and he sat us promptly. He did a wonderful job the entire time, he asked us if we had been there before, he was patient with our questions about the gluten free crust, and was thorough in explaining how the deep dish vs. the thin crust pizzas worked. I can’t emphasize how important and how much appreciation I have for Gael’s patience and understanding of the gluten free pizza, mostly because my mother is severely Celiac and hardly ever goes out to eat for fear of cross contamination. He was understanding and said he would make sure her pizza was prepared separately and kept away from any traces of gluten. My only issue with the deep dish pizza(but completely understand) is the time that the deep dish pizza takes to make. By the time I’m hungry, I really want that pizza and have a hard time waiting the 30 minutes it usually takes. We ordered one Large deep dish, half meatball and half blue line, and then my mother’s gluten free pizza. The deep dish was wonderful as usual, it was a tiny bit more watery than I remembered in the past. but I made a guess it was from fresher spinach so I didn’t mind. My mother said her pizza was good, better than some other gluten-free things she’s had in the past. All in all it was a great experience, I appreciate the great service from Gael. I do wish the gluten-free pizza was a bit cheaper since we’re pretty sure it was just a Udi’s gluten free crust which is also pretty small. Her pizza was about 16.50 $ which was the only thing I was a bit disappointed in even though I understand gluten-free things aren’t cheap.

I’ve been here a few times. Last time I went, I ordered garlic bread for my appetizer and then the vegetarian deep dish pizza. Food was excellent! Garlic Bread was well cooked and had the right ratio of bread to cheese to garlic. Vegetarian deep dish pizza was amazing as well! Very authentic to actual deep dish Chicago-style pizza. I took off one star because of the service last time I went. Waiter was nice, but we felt rushed several times during our meal, which took away from the amazing food experience. Not a huge deal, and I will still come back for more.

This place was A-OK. Not the best ZA I’ve eaten, but 3 stars worthy. Details below. Ambiance, smallish but good flow through the tables. Nice enough staff, even though our poor bus boy was dripping(literally) sweat. Our waitress was witty and fun. At one point they had on some really terrible and loud house music and I couldn’t hear anyone at my table. The place echoes during lunch, so it’s super loud. They eventually turned off the noise and it was better. SPICYMEATBALLS: Yea these were good. Not Ikea good, but still yummy. Good table appetizer. GARLICBREAD: Not what I was expecting. It was more like cheesy pizza crust with marinara dipping sauce. Pretty good though. BLUELINEMARGHERITA: It came to the table lickety-split. It had whole cloves of roasted garlic on it — I didn’t mind this but I’m sure my breath was awful and I was expecting a stronger garlic flavor from the roasting. It was cut in the most bizarre fashion that I ended up having to use a knife and fork to eat it. Think HUGE square pieces and corresponding small triangle pieces. Wut? DEEPDISHPIZZAS: If you’re into this sort of thing, they looked pretty epic. I personally hate deep dish, so I cannot comment.

Chicago style pizza without buying a plane ticket. Blue Line Pizza’s deep dish pizza is pretty good. I’ve had better deep dish, but a proper deep is hard to come by in these parts and Blue Line delivers. One small deep dish will easily fill up you and a friend while a large will satisfy four very hungry people. Blue Line relies heavily on their sauce made with plenty of garlic and onion powder, just the way I like it. Not into deep dish pizzas? Blue Line has thin crust and regular pizza two and enough sides to keep up the variety. Though satisfying, the pizza doesn’t have a lasting flavor. Pizza is something that should be craved and while Blue Line excels at filling me up for cheap, it’s not something I’ve had an itch for like other pizzerias. Blue Line pizza is a place you go with your friends after having a couple beers to fill you up without breaking the bank.

Very nice place, Josh(the manager) was very nice and friendly, he made my dining experience so much more enjoyable. The food was great, the wings was AMAZING. When I go back next time, I’m definitely getting the wings again. Oh, and that garlic bread from the table next to mine? I’m definitely getting that next time too. Tip from the manager: you can order your wings extra crispy. Takes a little longer, but it is definitely worth the wait.

Ah, Blue Line: homage to Chicago and the cornmeal crust. I’m sure overtime, this restaurant in its very prime location on Castro St. will be inundated with Unilocal reviews and consequent 4 star reviews, so let me be brief: I dig that their signature blue line pie is vegetarian. Gimme spinach on pizza(thin crust, deep dish, etc.), and I’m usually in. The restaurant is an easy, peasy choice right on Castro St. None too crowded, but do expect that a deep dish pie will take 30 – 40 minutes to make. Come not too starving to eat then? My friend and I shared a small deep dish pie: half blue line, half vegetarian. None too saucy. Good crunch. Loved my vanilla soda. Glass came chilled for the soda and the bottled beer. Only ambience complaint was that it was chilly indoors because the restaurant kept their front doors open. We would have been better off sitting patio with the outdoor heaters at this time of year.

I came here for lunch on a weekend. We ordered the spicy meatballs, caprese salad and the thin crust chicken pesto pizza. Service was great. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. I enjoyed the caprese salad and spicy meatballs quite a bit. The pizza was not bad however I think the crust could have been crispier and there was something missing in the taste. It was a little on the bland side. Next time I come back I will try the deep dish pizza as it seems that might be more their signature dish.

Blue Line has amazing deep dish pizza. There’s something so satisfying and comforting about their deep dish… must be that crispy crust and gooey cheese. I like to customize my deep dish, getting spinach(for the health factor) and meatballs. It is so incredibly tasty and soul soothing. If something additional is needed, I can highly recommend their garlic bread or one of their salads. I find their thin crust to be only so so. The deep dish pizzas typically take about 30 minutes, so an appie may be warranted if you’re extremely hungry. Blue Line also has a great selection of beers and specialty cocktails. Service is always great and the staff is friendly. Love this place for a casual meal or date night!

Among the best deep dish options in the bay area. Crunchy crust(none of the sogginess that some other deep dish dispatchers suffer from), good ingredients, nice chunky sauce, etc. They even have kalamatas(I do not understand why this is so rare with pizza places). I’ve had some fairly negative experiences with both the host as well as some of the waiting staff — but I’m looking past those because the pizza is delicious. Yeah, that’s how good the pizza is.

I really love the pizza here! I also like how family-friendly the staff is. When there is a wait, they text you when your table is ready. It is nice that there is the option to walk along Castro for a bit to kill time. When I mentioned to my server that my son was in need of something to eat right away, he brought us some toasted bread in minutes. I like the deep dish and thin crust options. The salads quite good also. I will be back!

The service is great and the staff is friendly. However, the Chicago pizza was not to my taste. It was and wayy too cheesy and a little too garlic-y for. We then tried the thin pizzas which were also very cheesy. Not a fan of this place and won’t be going back. Also side note– the salads are more on the expensive side. I personally prefer pizzas from the neighboring Doppio Zero.

Ok. I am done with this place. Rarely am I compelled to write a one-star review of an establishment — especially after giving them a positive review beforehand. However, this Blue Line Pizza has managed to somehow screw up my phone-in order not once, not twice, but three times. The first time, I phoned in an order of spicy chicken wings. I was told there’d be a wait time of 10 – 15 min. I get there to find out my order hadn’t even been put in yet. I waited another 20 minutes until my order was ready. The manager comped my order so I chalked this up to a one-time occurrence. The second time, I again order spicy chicken wings. I get there 10 minutes later… and the exact same thing happened as before. This time around, the manager came out immediately when she discovered what happened to offer to comp my meal. To top it off, a few minutes later, the server at the bar lays my receipt on the table and says«Anytime you’re ready. Is communication REALLY that bad there? Tonight was the last straw. I phoned in an order for a bacon & blue salad. This time around, my order was waiting for me on my arrival. I get back home & open my box to discover they MADEMETHEWRONGSALAD!!! I’m not sure what happened there. Is there too much staff turnover? Are they THAT busy that they can’t get basic phone orders right? In any case, I’ve given them enough chances and I’m done giving them my business.

The deep dish pizza is excellent here. Also had the garlic bread here which was really good. Not sure how regular pizzas are but the deep dish pizza are really big portions and also a lot of cheese, tomato sauce and they put a lot of toppings. The crust is always crisp(not too dry or not too brittle) and is tasty as well. The combination of ingredients they put on the pizza work really well together. The blue line pizza is vegetarian but is probably the best tasting deep dish pizza they have. Great location on Castro street with fast and respectful service. Overall, great food and I’ve came here with friends multiple times and we’ve all enjoyed the deep dish pizzas that were offered here.

This Blue Line location offers amazing customer service, great food, good happy hour and lunch options, and a wonderful atmosphere. First, I recommend eating here between 3pm-4pm Monday-Friday, as you can take advantage of the personal sized pizza(only served until 4pm) and happy hour at the same time. Customer Service: From the moment I walked into the restaurant, I was greeted with a smile by two employees. I sat down at the bar and I had lengthy conversations with both of them, which was quite nice. Before my food was brought out, I already felt good about being at this restaurant, as well as feeling as if I were a regular customer who had been eating there for years. A+ The Food: I ordered a personal pepperoni deep dish pizza, spicy chicken wings, and a small bacon and blue salad. I started off with the bacon and blue salad first; even though I ordered a small salad, I was pleasantly surprised when I was given a large plate that was full of romaine lettuce, bacon, Gorgonzola cheese, cherry tomatoes, caramelized red onions, and their homemade blue cheese dressing. By the time the wings were brought out, I was beginning to get full from the salad. The spicy chicken wings were excellent; they had plenty of meat on the bones and the spices were amazing. The deep dish pizza was cooked to perfection, as the cornmeal crust was nice and crunchy on the edges, and not overcooked like I’ve had at other pizza shops in the area. A+ While Blue Line isn’t a place I can eat at all the time, it’s on my list of favorite restaurants in Mountain View, and I’ll definitely be back in the near future. p. s. The lighting is dim inside of the restaurant, so it’s hard to take high quality pictures. I’d recommend eating outside on the patio if you want to take high quality pictures.

Blue Line Pizza is in a great location in bustling DT Mountain View. My friend and I got outdoor seating and loved the ambience there! We ordered the thin crust pizza(large) with half pesto chicken and half BBQ chicken. There were 8 slices total, but each of us ate 2 and were already stuffed. The pizzas here are gratuitously piled on with toppings, so it really fills you up. Personally, I enjoyed the BBQ chicken more because it had these delicious chunks of crunchy bacon! Don’t worry though, eating these pizzas didn’t leave us with the typical«icky feeling» after eating pizza. The flavors we got also had a lot of veggies, like onion, cilantro, and mushrooms so we didn’t feel too horrible about ourselves: P Usually, I’m also THATPERSON that blots their pizza before eating it. However, I didn’t find myself frantically searching for a napkin to blot these pizzas, because they did not appear greasy at all. On top of all that, for those that are truly health conscious, getting a thing crust pizza helps too– less oil! All in all, Blue Line Pizza is a great place for any ocassion. catching up with a friend or a date– all over some delicious and high quality pizza.

I came here for dinner with some friends. We sat outside on a street side patio and ordered garlic bread, a large thin crust pizza(half cheese and half veggie) and a large deep dish pizza(BBQ Chicken). The garlic bread was more like pieces of garlic pizza crust. I thought both pizzas were good; above average but nothing incredible. I think they do a better job with the thin crust than the thick. Service was exceptional. The waiter even did a magic trick for my friend’s young son!

Blue Line Pizza is known for their deep dish pizza using cornmeal crust. But did you know that their thin crust pizza is just as tasty? I got the thin crust pizza with half pesto sauce and the other half with tomato sauce and different toppings. That way I get to try more than one type of pizza. It is a win-win situation that leave your belly feeling happy and satisfied. Give this place a try and you will not regret it. Cheers!
