Came by on Saturday about an hour before the 900 million dollar Powerball drawing closed and saw the line was already borderline crazy. Found my spot and there were eight or nine parties ahead of me. Ten minutes later, the line had not moved one inch. There were now at least seven or eight people behind me. The guy at the back remarks, «This dude is usually slow as it is, now he’s here by himself!» and it hits me. This guy is slower working the registers is slower than all hell. Another three minutes or so pass and the guy in the back is still joking about how long this could take with this particular employee running the operation. This was no joking matter, so I barked out«Is your lotto machine broken or what?» and he quietly mutters«Yes, it’s broken». Thank you sir! Such a gentleman. What the flying fuck? Most of the line storms out angrily as expected. The Mexican chick who used to work here was great and quick. This new Indian guy, who probably is related to the owner(who is awesome also) belongs in the hall of fame of liquor store employees for his remarkable display of awareness on this evening. My god. It was way beyond a joke.

Came here to buy liquor. Small place with a lot of ethnic food and products which I thought were cool. They had alot of specialty 40 oz beers and 30 racks. Was looking for Sam Adams but they didn’t have it, however they had other kinds the prices are cheap. Attendant was friendly as well. Wish they had more beer to choose from but the prices were very good would definitely go there again.

If you are looking for open space, you’ll find more of it here than liquor.

Mini spirits, CA Lotto scratchers for days, Western Union Services and cancer sticks. What else can a ½ marathoner ask for? Do you have Squirt in a bottle? Small, cramped, getthofied yet convienent lickasto… just like I like.

This is the cleanest liquor store. I have only been here once and it looks like the whole store was remodeled recently. Therefore, it is not too shocking to see a clean floor and sparkly new fridges/fridge doors. With the new looking store comes some technology too. I am sucker for saving energy. I really liked the automatic lights that go and off when you walk by the fridges. The bad — I am always looking for scratchers and beer for my parents. Many Unilocalers find it odd that I frequent liquor stores but do not drink or smoke. Well now you know why. To note the bad, there is no MGD in a 40 oz. and the smaller bottles expired in January. I was curious and found other brands that were expired. Too bad Central Liquor… you have skunky beer.

Tried to charge us an extra .50 cents because our purchase was less than $ 10.00 and we were using a bank card. We tried to tell them that doing that was outside their Visa/Mastercard merchant agreement and all we got back was attitude from the gal clerk«It’s the policy of the owner who won’t be here until this afternoon». We paid in cash but won’t be back in the future with cash or card.

They have a check cashing service which takes forever and often the line takes a long time when theres only one person there. A typical wait is a guy cashing a check, then will buy a phone card, a lotto ticket and a bunch of beer.
