Jack In The Box

I’m not really one to write reviews for chains that often but the food was so terrible here that I just need to.
I drove by super quickly and got a jumbo jack, a chicken sandwich and two tacos. Everything from the bun to the tortillas to the mayonnaise in the chicken sandwich were drenched in oil. Fast food is already unhealthy as it is but why was everything covered in oil? I’ve eaten at other jack in the boxes and the bread at least should never be all shiny and greasy.
Do yourself a favor and go to a different one!

Food is as expected, but the old dude always hands back my credit card with grease all over it. And I don’t mean one thumb print; there’s grease all over the front and back of it. Unless you have exact cash, I wouldn’t bother wth this location. Unless you like grease all over your credit card or change.

Old dude who works the night shift deals with a lot of rude teenagers and drunk a-​holes.
He’s super nice and will even hook you up if you are nice to him. Other shifts are very chill people, they don’t try and act fake professional, they act like they are your buddy and show a genuine smile. Real salt-​of-​the-​earth types. Salt goes hand-​in-​hand with fast food. Hyphens are fun.
Open ²⁴⁄₇. I recommend the Breakfast platter with bacon, as the sausage sometimes has small bits of bone (small enough to pass FDA standards).
Breakfast available 24/​7, nothing like some scrambled eggs and hashbrowns with bacon for under 4 bucks at 2:30am after a Castro romp with a DD and group of friends.
Blows McDonalds breakfast prices out of the water.

Supposed to be open 24 hours but on 11/​19/​2015 at 3:00am the workers had hidden in the back, refused to come out and serve the growing drive through line, they even turned off the lights when I tried knocking on the door.

Close to my house and they stay open pretty late. They have a variety of different kinds f fast food which I like the most especially the munchie box. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich fries and a drink. I asked for some Sriracha sauce on the side and they gave me a large amount which was nice of them. They provided it to me in a cup because they don’t have them individually packed and usually do not offer them to customers. Attendant was very friendly and my food was good. I also didn’t have to wait too long which was awesome!

Picture it: Three of us in a not so luxurious Lexus that has a mind of its own. We wait in the drive thru lane of this service establishment. There are two cars ahead of us at the speaker. The line is moving as slow as a Georgia drag queen paying his electric bill after a bawdy night on the town.
After a grueling ten minutes, we arrive at the static spewing speaker accompanied by a woman (probably from the city) that has an attitude that would make angry cat seem like a ball of sunshine. Orders placed. All one ticket so as to save time and hassle. I don’t know about my friends, but I assumed that multiple tickets would have confused this poor girl that probably is the poster child of why $ 15/​hour is not a good idea for all fast food workers.
I pose the question to my companion and confidante, Nadia, «Why don’t we just eat on campus???»
Everyone suddenly has a confused wrinkle upon their brow.
The line is still moving as slow as the abovementioned performer.
A guy throws himself from the luxury of his 2015 Tesla ahead and tells us, «Hey, if this place is slow, just leave and make them eat the loss for being slow.»
Wow. I never thought of this genius.
Turns out, the guy recognized our car as one of his own and felt comfortable speaking with us.
We left.
Our vehicular tank made a hard and fast and furious and angry and confident left onto ECR from Calderon and we were free at last.
Free at last.
We should do this. If the drive thru is unreasonably slow, then the place isn’t doing their job.
Place your order in good faith and then leave if it takes too long. Make the place pay in lost/​reduced revenue – the true language of corporate America. Complaints on the www or on the 800 numbers just don’t work.
We all deserve better service than this crap.

The store is supposed to be open up to 11 pm, but often they are out of stuff and closes unexpectedly. Once I found it closed at 8:30 pm, and another day it was closed by 10:30 pm. The burgers and the sides they serve are «okay» when you are hungry, but not really delicious. The soda does not taste good there. The tacos are the worst of the menu, tasted bad.

Buyer beware! When ordering lunch at the drive through, I was offered a medium or large. A small option was NOT mentioned. The Jack in the box website nutritional page lists a small size. Why don’t the workers mention small? I was mortified when the medium drink came in at 32 oz. (400 calories) which is considered large at most places. There are 130 more calories in the medium fries than small. Our country has a huge problem with obesity and your practices like super sizing drinks & fries and requiring employees to only mention medium and large is sneaky. To stay healthy I’ll stay away.

ONE, I asked If they could not add cheese to my southwest salad but they said «it comes like that» so that doesn’t work 4 someone lactose intolerant. TWO, I am in the drive thru waiting for my food while these ladies are talking, I mean if the salads are already made why do I have t o wait for someone to finish their conversation? … just gotta find a different jack…

Just went by at 2:15 AM for the drive through. Was told they were closed. Definitely not open ²⁴⁄₇ (anymore– I have no idea when they took a turn for the worse; I’ve lived nearby and been going there for years). Beware.

I always get 4 tacos and a chicken sandwich with ice tea for a «Power Lunch» or the «Breakfast of Champions»! My doctor has limited me to 4 tacos per sitting because «that stuff will kill you»! I’m still alive to eat tacos another day!

«Open 24÷7» and «breakfast is served all day»… bullshit. They don’t open until 0530!

Nearest to my work place… so i hop in for a quick bite at lunch break… looks ok, service speed is ok, decent fare for the price, but a cramped place…

I brought a valid coupon in, but they don’t have chicken sandwich on the menu any more. They still make one for me, thanks!

Walked on over from Castro around 2AM. The doors were closed but the drive through was 24 hours… after a few hand gestures to signal to the employees if this way okay, we got the green light!
One of the best meals that I could have had that night…

Well, the employees that night 1up’d themselves by unlocking the front door and letting people not only order but sit indoors.
Actual customer service from a fast food restaurant at 2AM?

I normally like this jack in the box but the employees have serious staring problems please let me eat my food! Thankyou

I work near this Jack in the Box and this is always my go to/​quick meal of the day.
I usually only order a la carte when I’m Jack in the Box and they have never messed up my order. The workers are really friendly and most of the time they ask me how was my service today. 85% of the time I order through the drive through and they’re professional and friendly. They always ask if I want any sauce which is convenient because I’m a forgetful person. I’m not too sure why this Jack in the Box has such bad reviews.
My go-​to meal when I’m hungry is a big cheese burger with egg and two tacos on the side. Sometimes I add churros or something sweet when I have a sweet tooth. You can’t go wrong with a sourdough jack or an ultimate cheeseburger.
The only reason why I gave it four stars is because sometimes they take a little while for my food to come out even when there is nobody in the drive through. But I’m really a patient guy so I don’t mind if it takes a little while as long as my food is perfectly cooked and my order doesn’t have any errors. One time the drive through line was about six cars long and I decided to go inside to order and it was surprisingly quick for my food to be ready.

OK this isn’t for Jack in the Box food, its for the staff.
I’m a regular at this particular drive through and I gotta say the staff has it together.
My recent most favorite thing about them? Last week went through noon-​ish on a weekend and wanted to order the munchie box. At first I was told it was only after 9pm — (DUH says so on the sign) about 10 seconds later they came back and said — ok we have ever thing here we can put it together for you — YA!
There always courteous always ask if I want catchup or extra sauce and never ever screw up my order!!!

Hey $.99 cents for 2 regular tacos made for a very cheap dinner tonight.
What can I say? I try to stay away from fast food places but I have been going to J in the B since he first arrived on the scene in the 70’s when his big a– — noggen was bigger then life and lookin right at you when you drove up to place an order. Then they had to stop that cuz too many people were taking off with (AKA stealing) the Jack head.
Oh, whoops. Can I say that, jack head? Oh, I can’t believe I said that. Yes, I said Jack head not jacket. Anyway, I said it huuu?
