Come on, man. It’s KFC, what’s not to like? Every once in a while you just get a craving for it and you’ve got to satisfy it, right? Staff at this location super nice and go out of their way to make you comfortable if you’re, say, waiting for a triple order of hot wings. Not that I was doing that but it’s possible. Private parking right off of ECR and a block south of Castro St. Sure, there are a ton of restaurants on Castro but do they satisfy that fried chicken craving? I think not…

I’m amazed by how great the employees here are! The 2 times I’ve been, I’ve had 2 separate servers who were just as friendly as they could be. If you’re getting KFC in the area, choose this location!

Sorry. only two stars. Ordered two 3 piece KFC meals. One white, one dark. Good news, got one white, one dark. Bad news, got two 2 piece meals. Usually get pretty good service here. After looking over some of the reviews here… um, someone needs to learn how to count.

I used to work there in High School. Back in the late 80’s !! Great owners then. Wonder if it’s the same people ?? Taught me work ethics that I never forgot !! Always taught me customer service was the #1st priority. Never forgot it and use it to this day !!!

Count your chickens here! We ordered a 12 piece bucket and only got 10 pieces and two wings were very tiny yet counted as one piece each. We were the only customers there at the time.

Manager Nicole Garcia waited on me last night, and her cheery and friendly demeanor really made my day! The food is always perfectly prepared and delicious. While I was waiting to order, someone who had just picked up their order came back inside and asked for a substitution(apparently they got regular instead of extra crispy). Ms. Garcia said«no problem» with a big smile and replaced their order. Most people who serve the public are not as positive as Ms. Garcia. If you need some positive energy, you will be glad you patronized her KFC location!

When ordering a large amount of food through their catering service, go straight to manager Andre. He’s terrific & makes a great effort to accommodate, on time & on budget.(The hourly employees, less so. Work with Andre.).

They get 5 stars for their service. They have a great attitude and cheerful smile, not very common in a fast food restaurant. Not a huge fan of KFC food, but I do like their hot wings a lot!

I don’t frequent this place often. but the family like it and I’m always the go-to guy to go get the food. What can I say. The staff is always helpful. I don’t know the menu so I always gotta ask extra questions and they always accommodate. Lets see what else — The place is small and I only seem to visit it during the week Early evening and never saw more than one person in line. Correctness of the order. Well, I would of given them 100% but last time they some how doubled up on one side order and left the other off. Fast food roulette I suppose. Can recommend, just check your order~

Well, I went back to try the KFC chicken pot pie when they first came out. At first, I was impressed. The pot pie was filled with tender pieces of white meat. But then… KFC started to get cheap. Less and less chicken and more carrot slices in the pie each time. One pie I bought — honestly — had ONEPIECEOFCHICKEN in it. ONE!!! That did it for me, and I won’t go back to KFC again. What a bait and switch!

This is really just in response to Som K’s review below about his mashed potato issue; I felt compelled to throw in my two shekels. First off, I totally sympathize with the pulled teeth/mashed potato situation. When I had the same thing, I was lucky enough to be within walking distance of a Jack’s Urban Eats(pesto mash and gravy forever). That said, my first job was working at a KFC and I can tell you that«making» mashed potatoes five minutes to closing would be a bit silly. They’re instant spuds of course, but they come in pre-measured bags that require making an entire batch(which is roughly six quarts of prepared potatoes, if my memory serves me. It was a looong time ago but I slung chicken there for almost two years) and mashed potatoes aren’t an overnight kind of thing. That is to say, whatever sides(except for cole slaw and corn) are still there at closing have to be thrown away. Also it take s a bit of time and creates huge, heavy and piping-hot dishes that then have to be washed by the already exhausted staff in addition to everything else that’s already piled up. It’s really not worth it. Like, at all. Unless you’re going to buy all of it. Closing shifts at restaurants of any kind are the absolute worst, and it’s not like they get tips. So maybe give them a break, and as a general rule with ordering food from a place right before they close, be specific when you call asking for what they have to offer. It’s a bitch of a job for practically peanuts. (And pro tip: if you’re going to get only the mashed potatoes from KFC, you really might as well go to a grocery store just buy a freeze dried packet. It’s the same thing.)

Really small place. Out of all KFC’s I’ve been to, this is the smallest one. Staff is pleasant and are bunch of hard workers, however, on Sunday at noon I was expecting a fresher food than I’ve got. Don’t get me wrong, it still was good, but looked like it was under the heat lamp for a bit. Boys enjoyed their strips and wedges, while I’ve munched on some grilled chicken. KFC is pretty much the same as everywhere, this one is smaller and out of 4 tables, only one was clean, the rest were full I crumbs and left overs, while we were the only customers at the restaurant. Thus 3 stars, for not keeping it clean and serving food that was made longer than 3 hours ago…

To echo a lot of other Unilocaler customers: this place has great service. They are nice, understanding of customers’ needs, and say thank you when you walk out the door. What other fast food place does that? Even In-n-Out doesn’t. I was craving some chicken, so I got half drumsticks and half boneless. It tasted good, but I still like 99Chicken better. The thing that gets me to like this place almost as much are the biscuits and the potato wedges. So good. No bathroom, and awkward customers who are the typical ‘nothing’s done right here’ when it’s busy.

5 stars for always great, friendly customer service. Never see that in any other fast food place. And the chicken is good too. Yes they try and upsell you but its always with a smile. Just say no thank you.

This place is a hole in the wall with no facilities, but that doesn’t stop Socorro for contantly upselling my order. Do want a cookie? no. Do you want an apple pie? no. Do you want to upsize your drink? no!!! F!!! You don’t have a bathroom where I can comfortably take a dump while you fill me with your diarhea inducing crap food? epic fail. In this day and age of the great recession. Instead of store personnel acting grateful for your business, they act like I was put on this earth to inflate their sales. People need to get real.

Why am I reviewing KFC? Because I love fried chicken. I love the original recipe. I love corn. I love mashed potatoes. I love Harry Potter food. It’s really terrible that this KFC is so close to me. I could walk here in 10 minutes and get my 2 pieces of fried chicken with corn and potato wedges for ~$ 6. The people working here are super nice, quick, and fun. I appreciate it. I’ll be back… hopefully not too often though.

Service not so great! After getting my wisdom teeth pulled and with a limited number of things I could eat I was craving some mashed potatoes. Luckily there’s a KFC5 minutes from my place, right? No. I get to the place at 9:45 and order the mashed potatoes. What I got as a reply kind of surprised me. «We’re all out» said the girl at the counter. She must have noticed the confused look on my face and went to ask another girl in the back if they have anymore. What I got from the conversation was that they didn’t actually run out of it, they just did not want to make anymore since it was 15 minutes from closing. I just left at that point.

When I got a hunkering for some crispy chicken, who do I go see… The Colonel of course! But, only with a coupon! Every now and then I am struck by the deep fried food bug… love that guy and I indulge quite willingly at KFC. The place is usually empty so I can walk right up and get my Bucket O’ Chicken and it is close enough to my house that it is still warm and crispy with the first bite. I wish this also had the Long John Silvers but I will have to try the next closest KFC next time around.
