This is my favorite L&L for a few reasons: + Easy ordering over the phone. + Quick waiting times + VERY generous portions. It will satisfy even fatties like myself. + located in the same plaza as Best buy, chipotle, starbucks, and across the street from Costco. Musabi Trio, BBQ mix plate and Chicken Katsu is all you need to know.

I was here last Saturday. I was hungry and the day following Christmas nobody was out. The streets felt deserted. So I ended up here on a cold cold night. I decided to order the bbq beef meal with side of macaroni. It’s alright. I thought the beef was pretty good except the toughness. Good thing I have razor sharp teeth. It’s not bad for 8.00.

For when you’re craving a bbq plate with rice and mac salad. Beef, ribs and chicken… Hawaiian style. This isn’t your KC, Memphis or Texas BBQ joint.

I came here on a craving for loco moco and was disappointed. The meat and eggs were soggy. The sauce was cold and didnt have that taste. The macaroni was good. Will not go out of my way to come back here.

Every time I come to L & L I order the mini BBQ chicken plate, it consists of white rice, chicken, and macaroni salad. The owner there is super friendly and always welcoming. She makes me feel like family every time I come in here. I have also tried the breaded prawns plate and those are super delicious. Usually at other places when you order things that are breaded they use a lot of bread crumbs and batter but these prawns were big and crunchy and I will definitely be ordering them again.

I love the 24⁄7 of this location! It comes in handy when 3AM rolls around and hunger strikes!

If you’re wondering why this L&L has a half-a-star better rating than the El Camino one(over 100 reviews? that’s got to be statistically significant), it’s because the food is better. I’m not sure how, I’m not sure why, but it is. The chicken katsu is a bit crispier, the BBQ chicken is a bit more flavorful, and the macaroni salad is stronger. It might be because that other one is open 24-hours, or it may be because that one has donuts + other things and has lost sight of its core Hawaiian roots. Whatever the reason, if the distance is negligible, you’ll want to go to this one if you value that sumptuous«mmm» that comes from Hawaiian BBQ. You know what you’re getting: a huge portion, deliciously grilled meat, some unhealthy sides(though both do have the«healthy option» with green instead of macaroni salad), and low, low prices. You’re already on your cheat day, so if you’re going to do Hawaiian BBQ you might as well come to the better L&L! I’m giving additional props in this review for being family owned, and for having the best katsu I’ve had at a H-BBQ place in this area(sorry Phil’s!). 4.5 Stars! Big fan.

If you are very hungry, come here for sure, you will go home stuffed! They are very generous in their portions, and the food is quite delicious. I adore the macaroni salad, and the white rice is good too, The meat is always wonderfully tasty, good flavor, the right amount of grease to make it finger licking good! I am partial to the combo meat platter, and my husband has a love of spam so he usually gets one of the meals with spam in it and he loves it. They have Hawaiian punch here too, which is what I usually get.

I can’t speak on all the dishes I only get the chicken katsu here, but it’s great! I can eat half for lunch and half for dinner I recommend this location. Nice enough staff. Clean environment.

I guess it is fast food but I still wasn’t impressed. It was pretty greasy. There was some wait time. The food isn’t very good. It’s pretty bland and tastes artificial. The servings are pretty good sized. Would not go here again. No line, but for a reason.

Got food delivered from here. It took about an hour for the food to get to me. The food was still nice and warm though, which is a plus, but some greasy liquid must’ve spilt because the take out containers were wet and greasy. I got the: spam and chicken katsu matsubi, spam saimin, kalua pork with lau lau, white rice and macaroni salad and the fish heathy plate. The food in general was decent. My favorite has to be the macaroni salad with the kalua pork coming in close second. My least favorite by far has to be the lau lau. Everything else was just okay.

Lots of food, and I mean LOTS. I love the platters. It is so much food and it’s all really good too. Macaroni salad is delicious and everything just works very well as a whole. The service is good too. I know some of the people that work there and I’ve been told they are a very good employer so I try to support them because of that!

Pretty good. I had the platter, which had a bunch of meat in it. Since meat is tasty, I enjoyed this meal.

Spam sushi without spam! Get chicken, tonkatsu… and why not enjoy spam sushi(musubi it’s called) #12 meal! With its dip in brown sauce they hit the spot! I like the mac salad, creamy and sweet, and if your friends want to throw it away take it home, add sliced apple and you’ve got another meal. Nice low key ambiance too.

Ate here for lunch today! Ordered Bbq chicken and Chicken katsu. Food was not great but its good. Serving was big! You can either choose regular or mini. I think the only difference between the two is the rice. Mini is 1 cup of rice while regular is two. My food came with a macaroni salad. It was ok, nothing special. Thumbs up for the cashier, he was really nice! If you want something cheap but offers big serving then you need to try this place.

I have been here a couple of times before. I was hungry and it was around dinner time. I decided to come here, I got the fried shrimp mini to go. I paid, and received my order. When I got home, I opened it and started to eat. I found several {3} hairs in my food. There were in my pasta salad, and in the rice. After 3 hairs, I could not continue to eat and threw it away. I will not come here again.

My fiancé and I were starving by the time we got out of Costco… We didn’t want to go home and cook so we were looking for a quick place to eat… And luckily we found L&L…: when we got where there was free parking everywhere! And as we got in we were torn on which dish to order! There was a lot of food choices to pick! I chose the loco moco— its a very delicious meal that includes a shit ton of rice, hamburger meat, 2 eggs drenched with gravy!!! And they include macaroni in the side… My fiancé got the chicken bbq meal and with that we got the spam misubi and chicken katsu misubi !!! When we ordered it didn’t seem like much, but when we got our food… It turned it way more food that’ve could eat! My fiancé barely touched his chicken bbq because he had to finish my loco moco! It was so much food it was ridiculous!!! And we paid 20 bucks for what we ordered and drinks! The rice is soft and fluffy, the chicken BBQ was very tasty and the macaroni was a delight! For a quick dinner meal this place hit the spot!!!

L&L has always been my favorite go-to for fast, Hawaiian BBQ. My favorite item is their katsu with curry sauce. The katsu is fried to perfection, and the sauce is extremely flavorful. When I’ve ordered bbq chicken from here, the meat it has been a little bit on the fatty side more so than meat. Nonetheless, you feel like you’re ordering chicken, but chewing on the fat just tastes like rubber. It’s ways safe to go with something fried from here like the chicken Katsu or shrimp. Spam musubi is always really yummy and the Hawaiian Sun drinks are a must!

The roommate was coming home from SJ and decided to pick up take out on the way home. We ordered: Musubi — A block of rice with your choice of meat, wrapped in flavored, dry seaweed. Available with spam, Portuguese sausage, chicken katsu, or barbecue chicken. We of course got it with Spam! These are huge! Remember one order is one piece, not two pieces like I thought when I first ordered from L&L. Kalua Pork — Smoke-flavored, shredded pork slowly roasted and mixed with cabbage. The roommate got this one. He loves the Kalua pork from L&L. Hawaiian Plate(Lau Lau & Kalua Pork) — Hefty pork chuck wrapped with taro leaf, steamed, and served with savory, smoky-flavored Kalua pork. I’m more of a sampler type of girl so I got this one. Both dishes were tender and moist. Since I love my dishes spicy, I added sriracha to kick it up a notch. It also goes great with the macaroni salad! I’ve had L&L a couple of times and they seem consistent and solid. Will probably order from them the next time the craving hits!

First let me say that my expectations were really low. With that said, I thought my meal was great! Can’t give it five stars as you are still eating out of a cardboard container with a plastic fork. Not sure that could ever justify a 5 star rating. The chicken katsu was excellent. The sauce was good, the chicken was fried just right, and their large platter was really filling. I opted for their«healthy» meal which included brown rice(a lot of it) and a salad. My only gripe is that the salad was really small. Overall a good meal! I’d go back.
