Perfect haircut every time with Christina. She has been cutting my hair for 12 years and always makes it perfect. I’m really picky about my hair and have tried almost all the other salons and barbers in Mountain View. None of them take the time like she does or they charge waaay too much for a haircut. I have also heard good things about the owner Corelia.

I was at the point of wanting to chop off all my hair because it was getting too long and heavy. I opted for a 3 –4 inch trim since I wasn’t willing to risk it with the New Year to come. I came across this salon by way of grabbing dinner one day. Its a new establishment that has been remodeled nicely and feels warm. I went in for a haircut that was $ 14 and got less than what I had expected. I guess I’m used to asian places where I’d spend about an hour at the place but I swear I was done in about 20 minutes. I’m not a dude and my hair is long. How is it possible to cut hair that fast and well? Its not. First of all, there were no customers in the salon(that should’ve been a sign. but hey, it was early in the afternoon). Here’s some advice: If a customer comes in for the first time, make sure you put your best hair stylist on them. When my haircut was done, I had the suspicion that there would be some uneveness and there would be some long strands left behind — I was right! The stylist was happy to correct it but I wish they spent the time in putting up my hair in layers and cutting it like most places I’ve been to. This lady pretty much grabbed a bunch of hair and cut. She did spend some time in layering the front but thats it. I have thick hair and she didn’t offer to thin out with the funky shears. I’m glad to have lighter hair and that I dont’ have a cow lick(yes, that happend to me when I went to an Asian place that likes to use razors to cut hair) but I dont’ think this would be a place for me to go for a haircut. Maybe its better for guys… The people that work there are nice but the quality of the haircut was ok. I would say that this place is equivalent to a Great Clips. I’ll have to continue my search for a decent salon/stylist… *sigh*
