Subway

Just useful for walk-​in and walk-​out. Not bad for grab and go.

After continuing to come here (great location), I noticed:
— The staff is a lot nicer
— They are fast
— They don’t complain if I ask for extra tomatoes
So, I updated my review. Good job whoever is running this Subway.

I’ve been patronizing this location for over 20 years. Their sandwiches are nothing to get excited about, the bread is mostly air, textureless and bland. The fillings are a bit better with a noticeable flavor profile but it’s not a gourmet flavor profile. It’s good for those days when you’re in a rush and just can’t cook, which is when I stop in, because they are fast. The service varies dramatically because the staff turnover is very high, but you will get a sandwich and an upsell for sugar water (soda), chips and sometimes cookies. Years ago, back in New York, I remember that they had great cold cuts piled a mile high (they even used to weigh it in front of you, but that practice was eliminated years ago when they dramatically reduced the amount of meat they put into the sandwiches). More recently (maybe 20 years ago) they did offer a sliced chicken that was amazing (not their chicken breast which I find bland dry and uninteresting) but that didn’t last very long. I did petition the owner to bring it back but they were uninterested, when I found out that many of my friends also thought it was their favorite I then petitioned the corporation but they apparently did not care to respond to me.
It’s passable food, more for when you’re in a rush than when you actually care about your meal’s taste and texture, than for actual enjoyment.

DO NOT COME HERE!!! They are so cheap with their toppings! I’ve been vegetarian for 5 years and always get the Veggie Delight and it ALWAYS comes with double cheese (it’s only vegetables for crying out loud!!) and this greedy franchise argued with me about it! They only gave me ½ the cheese and told me they’d charge me for extra. Cheap cheap cheap.

Avoid this Subway. My daughter had to use the restroom really bad, but they refused. Another customer said they let him use it. We couldn’t finish our food because we had to leave to find a restroom and they refused to refund the cost of the meal.

Don’t EVER go here! I touched something sticky on the counter and they refused to let me wash my hands stating «the owner refuses to allow customers to use the sink». They also said many customers request this but they have to follow the rules. There’s a sign that says no restrooms. And yet people eat here! Isn’t that illegal? So filthy ugh .Well I will never go in there again that’s for sure

Great service the guy who been working there from 12 years how can he give bad service?, really clean, should go enjoy and stay healthy :)

I came here to get a 6″ sub for my son. I’m trying to avoid carbs, but figured I could eat a cup of Minestrone soup. When I asked for it, the manager said «we’re almost out.» He dumped the remnants of the last of the soup into a paper cup. It measured barely ½ of the container. The soup looked old and tired, but besides that, it wasn’t even a full portion. So I asked if he intended to charge full price for this — and he said he wasn’t going to lower the price. Um, really? You would charge a customer full price for the dregs, the obviously old scrape-​the-​bottom-​of-​the-​barrel leftovers that don’t even measure a ½ portion? Ok, I’m angry now. Any other place (a classy establishment, that is) would have given the un-​sellable remnants away for free. This guy was arrogant, nasty, made no effort to be friendly, and I’m never going to visit this location again, ever. This kind of crap makes all Subway locations look bad. The manager’s name is James. The employee, Karla, was very nice. She’s a sweet girl, although how long she’ll stay nice with James as a boss remains to be seen. He was rude and unfriendly and I won’t be coming here again.

I know not to expect a lot of from Subway restaurants, but I expect them to be uniform and consistent. I’ve been to this location 3 – 5 times since moving here because it is the closest, but I may consider visiting another location in the future. Every person that’s made my sandwich has made it completely different. The bread is extremely dry and tough (pretty much stale). And the weirdest thing is that they make your sandwich on the white paper, but then transfer it to the Subway wrapping paper when they wrap it up. This makes it difficult for me to eat my sandwich because I like to wrap it up in paper so my hands don’t get dirty.

I should preface this by saying I am actually usually a BIG subway fan. I have fond memories of bringing Subway sandwiches to college hockey games, and their tuna is often a treat for me.
The staff here was friendly and the service was fast, so I have no complaints there. I just wish they were a bit more generous with ALL their toppings! I got a tuna sub and they put two of the tiniest, most carefully apportioned scoops on my bread. And I had to keep asking them to put more of the vegetables on the sandwich… I still could have used more! Even if their tomatoes were a little mushy, not that fresh.
On second thought, it would have overwhelmed my teeny tiny tuna…

First off this is a low end sandwich shop. Stop thinking you’re in some five star venue. The kind of people that post some of this stuff are the kind that would bitch even if everything were free!
This location is great as are the servers. Its close to where I live and I eat here often. I always get what I want, done the way I want.
Yes the little manager (moved to another location) was a bit rude, but so what. Usually she is very nice until someone tries to get more than they paid for. Ive seen this happen a few times.
I’m not a worker or owner. Just a satisfied customer.

Subway isn’t usually my favorite place to go but this one makes me like it even less. The honey oat bread I got was stale and the pastrami was very dry and tasted old. The veggies aren’t the most fresh either. The service could’ve been better. I didn’t have the worst experience but I definitely won’t go back.

Quick and easy typical subway. Five dolla Foot LOOOONG! Healthy but tasty.

Just your average Subway, nothing too special about this place. The staff is mostly friendly and I have never had a problem with my sandwich or have them run short of any topping for my sandwich.
The one think I do enjoy about this Subway is that there is never a line, I am usually in and out within about 5 min.

This was my first experience with a Subway restaurant after a long time. And let me say that it was BAD one!
The worker (who I learned turned out to be the manager after I complained to her) was extremely rude to me and another customer in line behind me. Her bickering with the another customer over something that was so easy for her to fix created an atmosphere that I DID NOT want to be in.
The sandwich was okay, just tasted like a regular Subway sandwich to me, but the service was so far below expectations that I will not be returning to this location in a long time.
I wonder how many more days this franchise has left to operate before it goes bankrupt…

I got a call from the manager of this Subway the next day after I complained to Subway customer service and he was really nice. Apologized on behalf of the rude staff and said they would look into the matter. I was impressed by the prompt response to my complaint.

Food is good as always but management is terrible. For vegetarians, they don’t put anything extra. Makes it a rip off for ppl who don’t eat meat

I thought all Subways are the same until I came here. being that I’m clean and I don’t touch my food without washing my hands, I asked if i could use their wash room (which was not for public use) to just wash my hands.
The lady behind the counter told me that I can’t use their restroom to wash my hands and i told her that I won’t be able to eat my food otherwise. She said «Sorry, would you still want me to make your sandwich?» I guess my $ 5 is not business worth enough for them to allow me to wash my hands prior to eating.
Don’t give your money to this location. Not worth it.

This subway’s staff is not well trained in sammy making, and they are retry stingy when it comes to the ingedient, even when you double the meat!
There are so many other subways in area, if you have a taste for it, try a different location.

I went here 3 days in a row and experienced the SAME THING EACH DAY! I got a tuna footlong each day, and each day I got VERY little tuna, very little lettuce, 3 tomatoes, 6 olives… barely anything else! I even asked for extra olives and I got like 4 more, so I asked for even more, and the lady snapped at me and said, «Sir, I have a formula.»
I happen to live right next to this Subway, but there’s another one that’s not too far down East Middlefield, so I went to that one instead today, and wow, it was like day and night. If you go to the East Middlefield location, you’ll get a *much, much* better experience. You’ll get real sandwiches that you can actually eat, servers that are quick but also respectful, and you’ll realize the focus is on you and not on a fear of satisfying secret shoppers by skimping on everything.
So please, do yourself the favor, save yourself the experience of rude staff that acts in a disrespectful manner to customers and gives you barely anything to eat. Go to the one on East Middlefield instead.
