Easily my favorite Mexican restaurant in Mountain View! The people are wonderful, as the food delicious. Awesome lengua tortas, I’ve eaten them for years! Tasty menudo and posole, and yummy tamales. Get a michelada to drink!

Burrito was not that good. It was all beans, rice, and a dab of sour cream and guacamole. The tortilla was chewy and not warmed. The carne asada was fatty and very little of it with too much lime flavor. The hot sauce was good and the only saving grace from a one star review. Service was okay and the restaurant was somewhat clean. Maybe their other dishes are better, but they need improvement on their burritos.

Picture menus are great, but then I can never decide on what I want. We settled on: 1. Vegetable caldo: lots of vegetables, good flavor without being too salty, good with a squeeze of lime and the fresh onion and cilantro they give you. It comes with a tortilla and a small plate of seasoned rice, which was pretty good 2. Tacos: 3 per order. The al pastor had the most flavor by far(compared to the carnitas and lengua) They had a nice tv with soccer playing, and bathrooms are clean. $ 5 minimum for credit cards.

One of the best taqueria’s I have ever been to! I found this place when I was on a lunch break at work nearby. I was pleasantly surprised. My favorite has always been Lengua, but it is hard to find a place that can do it right. And boy, did they get it right!!! This became my regular spot whenever I wanted mexican food! I recommended this place to my husband and it became his favorite spot also. He now takes his work buddies here and they all love it also. Only Con — having to go back to work with Food Coma!

This place is legit. If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food, this is IT. I’ve tried, the fried tilapia(#47), camarones a la diabla(#32), tostada de ceviche de camarón(#15) and menudo(#50). They’re the best of the best. Food is super fresh. Micheladas are amazingly tasty! Prices are great for the food and service they give. Definitely my go-to spot for Mexican food! Fresh soup on the weekends too!

In Mtn. View this is my go to taqueria when I’m hungry and in between here and their. It’s right off the 85 highway in a small shopping center. I’ve been in the area a lot of times and when I discovered this check in I fell for their super tacos instantly. I’ve brought several colleges and they too have started supporting. It’s hard to find good food and when you do you gotta share, right?! I’ve tried the chile Colorado, flautas, lengua, carnitas burritos, tacos, super tacos, quesidilla. All delicious, service is attentive and good arrives within a timely manner which I like being I rarely have any time to drag. Good stuff I’ll post many more pix in the near future

the first thing i want after a long international trip is a burrito. i had never been here before and didn’t even know it existed, b/c it is hidden in the plaza by shana thai. i got a fish burrito and asked for avocado(yet another thing that is impossible to find abroad), and the cashier assured me that there was already guac in the burrito. when i got it though, it did not come with either guac or avocado. :(sadly, i realized it too late and ate half my burrito, b/c i was so hungry. w/hot sauce, it was still good, but it would have been much better w/the avocado.

Taqueria Tres Hermanos is my go-to taqueria whenever I’m in Mountain View. Their food is really great but I think their prices went up a bit since I last came. Their selection is what you’d expect of a taqueria but the quality is really good and the severs are great and taking your order as you desire it. I always ask for extra beans and they deliver every single time! I usually order their super quesadilla plate but I recently tried to tackle their red wet burrito and had to sit around a bit to get myself out of a food coma. I love them for lunches or dinners and I’m trying to get everyone I know to go if they ever need a taqueria to eat at.

Good order-over-the-counter Mexican place. Ordered Chile relleno plate and was huge and very tender and tasty. The corn tortillas were hand made and way better from the ones you get at the store. Reasonable prices too.

It’s a shame this place doesn’t have more reviews and that the current reviews aren’t very positive. I started coming here for lunch recently and I’ve grown to really like the place and think it deserves a good review. Tres Hermanos is nestled in a quiet little plaza that seems pretty overlooked given its proximity to downtown Mountain View. The restaurant is a long, classic California Mexican restaurant. Telenovelas are usually playing when I come in, the lunch crowd is almost entirely Spanish-speaking. All good signs if you’re looking for an authentic taqueria experience(which you might not be, that’s cool). As a native Southern Californian(San Diego), I tend to prefer Southern California Mexican food to Northern California fare. However, this place honestly compares to some of my favorites from home. The meat is flavorful, with a little spice(something I think Northern California transplants are a bit afraid of, to say the least). The tortillas are soft, and warm, the perfect blanket for a little donkey. The rice and beans(refried) are pretty minimalist in the more San Diego border tradition, but taste fantastic. I was really surprised to learn they make California burritos. I always approach California burritos with caution(and a little anxiety in Northern California) but, Tres Hermanos’ California is definitely a winner. Crispy fries, awesome carne asada, and really decent guac makes the California a winner. I don’t review places like this based on service, and frankly, if your metric includes service as a standard criterion wherever you go, you’re a tool. The people here are decent and seem pretty hard-working. Who cares what Silicon Valley lunch crowders think of them? Overall, a great place to eat lunch. Highly recommended!

Went there today and had a super pollo burrito and horchata. Both were amazing. I was relllllly really hungry to be fair, burrito was a little spicy which I liked. Not loaded with fresh veggies, more of a fried rice and refried beans type(delicious haha). Actually walked it back home and it was still hot when I got back. The employees were joking around about how one of them pronounced something in English in a funny way. I was distracted and missed the joke exactly, but very friendly for the moment I was there and tried to incorporate me into the fun. One cool extra note is that my little sister wasn’t sure if she wanted the horchata. The cashier noticed and, without being asked, gave her a complimentary sample which we both thought was exemplary. Other bullets I would add, –Fast –Clean –Well Priced –Plenty of available seating at lunch time Friday

Growing up in Las Vegas and living in LA for 7 years, I’ve got a pretty solid handle on what good Mexican food is, specifically good burritos. This is definitely the best burrito place in Mountain View and likely the surrounding area.(Yes I’ve had La Bamba and La Costenia). They always come out hot and fresh and the red salsa is spicy and delicious.(The salsa verde is also good for those who like mild) I’ve also ordered the dozen tamales and they are as authentic as they get. I got twelve and my girlfriend and I finished them in two days. You do the math on that goodness.

I love me some veggie burritos. I feel like they’re a real test of how good a taqueria is and how fresh the ingredients are. I’ve had two burritos here and I can definitely say that I’m very happy at the end of the meal. The individual components are well seasoned and it’s not too wet or too dry. They’ll also make it spicy if you ask. Did I mention the ladies who work here are super nice? Good food and nice people; what more could you want from a little taqueria?

Ordered a regular al pastor burrito with guac. The burrito was mediocre, and either they were really stingy on the guac or messed up my order because I did not taste nor see any guac. Even after I went up to ask, they said that it was added to my burrito… shrug. The rest of my coworkers seemed unimpressed with the food as well. I saw the side of guac one of them got and it just looked like mushy green sauce with some tomatoes so that made me feel a little better about the case of the missing guac in my burrito.

My taquitos came from the freezer =(I tried a bite of the wet burrito from my fiancé. It was really good so I guess if you’re going to come here, order the burrito.

Who can say no to freshly made tortillas. Yes, you read that right. This is one of the of the few locations that makes tortillas on the spot when you order. I’ve been here three times and over all the food is pretty good. The times I’ve been there I’ve had their breakfast items. I personally like the ham and eggs plate. Very good, a generous side of rice and beans with freshly hand made tortillas. My Bf has had the chilaquiles, I have to say that the sauce they use on the chilaquiles is freshly made not out of a can. Those also come with a side of beans and rice. I think next time I am giving the chile verde a try. Prices are pretty average. Plenty of parking. Oh, and very nice staff.

Meh. I’ve gone twice and ordered a few things, each time I was left thinking –meh. Inside is drab and sad, spacious, but old feeling. The cashier and cook are polite enough, but not really that happy. The food is lacking real flavor and the free chips are stale. Meh.

I had a craving for meat after a meatless Tuesday. Decided to try out the taqueria near the independent grocer on Moffett. I ordered one chicken taco and my friend two chicken tacos with onions and cilantro, paid together so that we could use a credit card. When we got back to the office, we discovered all three tacos on one plate. This wouldn’t be an issue for most, but our company doesn’t stock the kitchen with anything. The lightly seasoned shredded chicken sits on top of a pair of yellow corn tortillas. We boosted the flavor with some green salsa and fresh lime juice.(They gave us only one wedge of lime for three tacos.) The food is nothing special and they didn’t give us much meat. Many empty tables and no line to order, even though we arrived at noon and took our time deciding. Parking in this strip mall is difficult in the small lot. The driveway from Moffett is a bit steep — I scrape the front end entering and exiting each and every time, even though I take it easy and try to not to enter/exit at a right angle.(Proof is on the scarred road surface). My boyfriend takes care of my car and probably hates when I shop in this strip mall. I’ll ask my friend to drive next time — her car sits higher off the ground. Three stars for okay, cheap Mexican food near work.
