I had a few bites of a friend’s chicken super burrito on two separate occasions(once drunk and once sober). The burrito was DELICIOUS both times I tried it. I’m sad that I haven’t stopped by to get my own burrito yet, but I’m sure the day will come. HIGHLYRECOMMENDED!!!

I work very close to Los Charros, so eat here often. Their prices are unbeatable, and their food is delicious! I usually order a regular chicken quesadilla, which is around $ 5 and is perfect for lunch. Filling without that«stuffed» feeling. If I’m really hungry I will get a regular chicken burrito, but it is almost too big for lunch. I bring the family for dinner every now and then, and we all love it!

This is our family’s favourite restaurant in the area and we have been frequenting it for years, and do so whenever possible. Never gets old. Such a treat. The super wet burritos are a perennial fave, but we have yet to be disappointed by anything on the menu. Friendly with kids too. So happy to see them there whenever we visit.

It was ok, just ok. I had a takeaway carnitas super burrito and chips. The chips did not seem fresh and the salsa provided was enough for about 3 chips. As for the burrito itself, it was very filling but tasteless. The pork didn’t taste of any seasoning so was very bland, the rice and beans were ok but the carnitas are supposed to be the star, so without the star, and average accompanying performers, one is left with a sub-standard dish. I had high hopes but finish feeling disappointed.

Saw great reviews on Unilocal so decided to try while in Mountain View. My husband and I are Mexican so we may be a little bias when it comes to authentic Mexican food. He ordered the chile verde and a negro modelo that was on tap. He was so disappointed w/the verde. Said it was the worst bland tasting he has ever had. I had the chicken con pollo. The rice was dry. The pollo and red sauce was good. I also enjoyed a good sangria. The chips we were served were stale and the salsa was ok. All in all we have had worst and the server was nice but the food was not worth the price. Next time we will come just to the bar to order drinks.

Came to this restaurant a few days ago for burritos with a couple friends. We ordered burritos and coronas and sangria. The food was really good and the service good too, only doffing one star because of the fact that they charge for chips and salsa. Most Mexican joints do not charge for chips and salsa.

Used to love this place back in college. Fresh squeezed OJ anytime of day. And huge burritos. But recently it’s just so so. We ordered mole enchiladas and it was so spicy! And too hot! I like the more mild mole burritos where you can taste the chocolate and savor the spices. My dish not memorable except that portions were small. And had to ask 3 times just for more water. The two servers were not busy and they acknowledged us, but no service. The bathroom you need to exit the back door then back into the back kitchen. Kinda scary and chilly since it was late at night. And no more complementary chips and salsa. Definitely grab your burritos to go! Not a great sit down place.

Used to be a great place for a decent burrito. However, today I watched the cook literally put every burrito ordered in the microwave. It was terrible. You don’t put sour cream, guac, and salsa Fresca in a microwave! Absolutely horrible. I could do that. So, I’ll take my burrito orders elsewhere.

I know they recently started charging for chips and salsa, but the lady at the cashier gave me some for free with my shrimp burrito(thanks)! I think overall the burrito was alright– nothing too special and I’ve had better at other taquerias not too far from this one. Parking in the area was also awful during a weekday lunch hour. There is a lot right next to the taqueria and some street parking nearby, but because it’s located in downtown Mountain View, you’ll be met with tons of business people in the area trying to get their quick lunch fix.

Was craving some Mexican food and my boyfriend and I needed to kill some time before we headed to a meeting in Palo Alto so we ended up walking into this place. There were a decent amount of people eating here so we were hopeful, but were sadly disappointed at the end of our meal :( I ordered the tamale plate and it was nothing but BLAND. My sauce had no flavor, and my beans and rice tasted like they were sitting out for awhile. My boyfriend ended up getting a super taco and wasn’t too impressed with his meal either. Would probably give this place another try, but for the burritos. From what I hear, this is what this place is known for. Wish we would have known that before… ahh! Another thing to mention is that the employees were so nice, they checked up on us every time they could, I just wish the food we ordered was at the same level as their customer service.

This place was good but I was kinda surprised at how many reviews there were for what it is. It’s a pretty standard taqueria and the food is good tasting — I’ve had worse — but nothing to write home about. I did come back for a second time and the guy working the front was really nice. I asked if the pollo or carne Asada was better and he straight up said why not get both so you can find out? So that’s what I did! Chicken & steak mixed burrito. Both meats were good but I think I liked the chicken a little more.

I did like this place before. A few different hot sauces on the table. Two kinds of salsa, both good with your chips. Actually one is REALLY good. I liked the option of sitting outside at one of the(two) tables. Pretty good overall… for comparison, I like Tres Amigos in Half Moon Bay better.(more salsa choices too!) I actually was planning a trip to Los Charros today, but in looking for their menu, I see that they raised prices AND charge for chips now. Pretty lame since any decent restaurants makes their own chips in house… and we’re talking pennies per serving when you factor in the wholesale restaurant price they pay… so… to be clear– on that alone, I used to give this place about 4 stars… but now I’m going to have to give it 1 star.

This use to be one of my favorite taquerias as there Al Pastor tacos are great but a recent change which increased prices and now they CHARGE for CHIPS&SALSA leaves me no choice to downgrade them to 1STAR! Charging for chips & salsa at a taqueria is like charging for bread and butter at an Italian restaurant… It’s just wrong! Especially so when you just raise prices!

Best Mexican place I’ve ever gone to hands down. The super burrito I had was super big and packed with flavorful meat that wasn’t dry or too salty. We also got free chips and salsa, and it was really affordable. The inside is also nicely decorated and felt fun and cheery.

One of the best burritos I have ever had. Their carnitas burritos is just as good as the one at La Taq. Pork is flavorful and crispy. It was very texturally appealing. On that note, there was also no gross chunks of fat(a huge put off for me). The burrito is also perfectly sized and proportioned. You get just enough of everything in every bite. I ate the whole thing and I never finish a burrito, especially when i order them super like I did this time. I would say this place is destination worthy.

I’d heard good things about Los Charros, and was badly overdue for my Mexican food fix. Since we had my 1-year-old nephew in tow, we were delighted to see that Los Charros is baby friendly, with high chairs available. As soon as you sit down you get complimentary chips and salsa, always a good thing. We missed salsa for some reason at the beginning but requested it easily. I ordered the al pastor regular burrito, which includes meat, rice, beans, and salsa. The meat was just a tad on the salty side, but not enough so to be deterring. When I split the burrito in half the filling was quite orange, representing the delicious greasy bbq component of al pastor. I found myself reminiscing about/craving my meal only a few days after eating it. A filling dinner for ~$ 6 elicits no complaints from me. Whenever I want Mexican food I will think of Los Charros!

This review is based off the experience of a single visit to this establishment, alone, and ordering only one item so it’s a very specific review. I really wanted a breakfast burrito. I grew up in an area of NorCal where a good breakfast burrito was very easy to find, and the local taquerias were very competitive about providing«the best». Unfortunately, at this time, I have yet to discover the competition for that title in the South Bay. And it shows. Los Charro’a has a lot of good going for it, but falls just shy of making a splash. The burrito was good, but not supremely flavorful. The salsa was very fresh, but lacking in heat, and was a bit watery. The burrito was pretty small. A little too big to make me order a second, a little too small to satisfy me. And it cost just under $ 7, which is a little pricey for a small burrito. The establishment was clean. The staff was attentive. The food prep was quick. They do most things right, but from my one time experience, they just didn’t out-do any of their local competition. That’s the definition of a 3⁄5 stat rating. Which I believe is fair and accurate. If you’re in DTMTV, you won’t go wrong. But you won’t be blown away. I’ll get around to trying their non-breakfast variety soon enough

Taqueria Los Charros serves good authentic Mexican food. You can smell the food from the side walk and the parking lot. Being that it was our first time we ordered super tacos. Carne asada, al pastor, buche(pork stomach), and cabeza(beef head). Served with lettuce, tomato, sour cream, and guacamole. Every taco had a good size portion of meat and were a little bit bigger than tacos that you get at a taco truck. I was disappointed that they didn’t have tacos de lengua(beef tongue), tripas(beef tripe), and suadero which is a thin cut of beef between the leg and belly. They need to have this on their menu. I want to come back and try their platters with the refried beans, rice, and chile colorado(chicken with chilli sauce), or with the chile relleno(stuffed roasted pepper) just to name a few.
