God damn this place is delicious. Far and away the best sandwichery in town. I’ve so far tried When I Met Glenn(turkey), Oh My Garden(veggie), and the BLT, and each one was excellent. Each sandwich is generously-sized, not stingy on the meat/fillings, and full of good-quality & interesting ingredients that come together into a tasty harmonious whole. Plus friendly staff and a selection of unusual sodas. I’ve only been here at weird times so I don’t know if it gets crowded, but if there aren’t seats left(or you prefer lunch scenery that isn’t orange paint and El Camino), there are a couple of city parks nearby for picnicking. McKelvey behind the Bread Room’s building, and Eagle on Shoreline the other side of El Camino.

Just stopped in today to give this place a shot, and wow am I glad I did! I got the«Love is a Sandwich» toasted, the deviled eggs, and I can honestly say it was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had! Bacon was cooked perfectly, the garlic mayo was incredible and the combination of flavors was amazing! Coming back for sure!

Delicious! You wouldn’t know it from the outside but reeeeeally good sandwiches. I tried«some guy named tony» and the devilled eggs. The sandwich was excellent and filling and the eggs were surprising good. Definitely never had a prezel with devilled eggs before but I loved it. I plan to go back and try the other options soon, great stuff

Yep it’s good. Hard to find a deli sandwich place around here that tries to lives up to modern concepts of quality ingredients and surprising flavors. These guys pull that off, with awesome bread, and generous amounts of meat. So worth the(welcome) escape from downtown!

They’re currently in their soft-opening stage, so the menu and décor is limited, but the good customer service and tasty sandwiches are in abundance. They’ll have their grand opening sometime in May 2015. The Food: I ordered«Love is a Sandwich» and a side of deviled eggs. The sandwich came with Virginia ham, crispy bacon, garlic mayonnaise, beer mustard, Boston lettuce, pickled shallots, and Gouda cheese on a large Dutch crunch roll. I rate the sandwich 4 out of 5 stars, since it’s good, but could be great if it was toasted. The deviled eggs were amazingly good. I’m not sure which ingredients are used in the deviled egg mixture, but there is a little heat to them, which is perfect. I’ll attend their grand opening in May, just so I can see what their new décor and full menu looks like. As of right now, The Bread Room seems like a great addition to Mountain View’s ever growing food scene.

These guys are sandwich geniuses!!! I love their approach to sandwiches: take something you know, make it with high quality ingredients and then throw in something that you’d never think of to make it amazing. If I could eat here every day, I would! As a vegetarian, it’s hard to find a place that makes a vegetarian sandwich that actually tastes good, or even has much flavor, but not here: «Oh My Garden» is incredible, I mean, candied lemon in a sandwich?!? You’d never think of it, but it works so well! I’ve even tried vegetarian versions of a couple sandwiches where they replaced the meat with grilled eggplant or zucchini. First I tried«When Pigs Fly», not sure what St Andre cheese is, but I like it :-) Not to mention«kale-slaw», good for you and tasty! Today I just tried a vegetarian version of «Some Guy Named Tony», I think I’ve found my favorite sandwich! Cherry peppers and basil aioli pack this one with tons of flavor. And the deviled eggs, I can’t stop eating them, a little sweet and a little spicy, awesome combination! Their soda and chip selection is great too, very high quality stuff! I honestly can’t wait to make my way through the rest of the menu, and they’re still adding more to the list. Like someone mentioned, they are just getting started but don’t hold that against them, you’ll be the one missing out. Can’t recommend this place enough, if you like sandwiches, do yourself a favor and check this place out!!!
