A.C. Moore is my go to for crafting & diy. They have it all; cupcake liners, spray paint, unfinished wood, scrapbook paper, t-shirts, storage boxed & baskets, candles, ribbon, and so on. They’ve also got a super friendly staff that is willing to walk you throughout the store to locate items and share their crafting ideas. Keep your eye out for the green pricing labels– these display discounted prices. Also never shop here without a coupon! They accept online coupons or coupons from the competition. You can get up to 50% off on a single item. There are also extra discounts for Military(thanks for your service!) & Teachers. I also recently learned that you can buy all the supplies for a wreath, take them to the wreath counter and a professional crafter will put it together for you at no charge! Craft on!

Love arts and crafts? Don’t want extremist religious views forced on employees and customers? This store is for you! Imagine a better version of Hobby Lobby, but best of all these guys actually respect freedom of religion. Plus, unlike some other craft stores you don’t have to be over sixty to appreciate this store. Young and old can find plenty to love in AC Moore. If your looking for scrap-booking, paints, yarn, sewing, clay, crafts to do by yourself, crafts to do with kids or just the random odds and ends craft stores are known for… AC More has it all! We’re taking mason jars, fake fruit, seashells, light houses, boxes. If you can glue it, tape it, stitch it or sew it then it’s probably here. Pro-tip, look for coupons! They almost always have a 50% coupon somewhere(often even in the Unilocal app). They also give discounts to teachers, our nations most unrecognized heroes!

Super cute kids free summer crafts on Wednesday from 1 – 3! The ladies who ran it were so sweet and so fast with moving everything along! Love this store so much, they are so clean and neat and always willing to help!

I think everyone can agree that if you show up looking for 1 item, you leave with at least 20 items. It’s impossible not to get lost and/or pickup something that you might not necessarily need, but you decidedly cannot live without. I’d challenge anyone to do a complete lap through the store without stopping. Seriously. AC Moore is, in my most honest opinion, the Lay’s Potato Chips of arts and crafts stores. I’ve been coming to this specific AC Moore for as long as I can remember, and it is the best BYFAR. Beyond the gigantic selection, everyone is incredibly friendly(and helpful!), and you always leave wanting to come back. I really need to take note of some of the employees’ names. Most recently, I was helped by two employees with as many crafts. Bearing in mind that AC Moore gets crazy busy during the holidays, one floor associate took my project list and actually walked me to each location. Along the way, she explained how she had done a similar project last year and gave me her own personal advice. Not only was she friendly and helpful, she was seemingly knowledgeable about everything craft related. Awesome job. Similarly, the framing department employee walked through the aisles with me to correctly pick a frame for my 24×36 grayscale Clint Eastwood poster. It would have been a disaster if I framed Clint with my previously chosen light maple wooden frame. Again, super helpful and super friendly. My advice: take the time to check out each and every aisle. There are some real hidden gems everywhere. And ask questions! Not only are they there to help you, they really want to.

I can(and do occasionally) get lost in here, wandering through the store as well as my crafty dreams. This store was big before, but a few years ago they moved into the massive space they now occupy. If you’re looking for pretty much anything in the realm of arts and crafts, AC Moore has it. Some of my favorites are the wooden crafts in the back, which are ready to be painted and custom designed by you, and the huge range of acrylic paints that come in small, manageable bottles(so they don’t dry out before you finish using them!) This is also where I get melting chocolates(in every color) for making goodies. Best part of this store is that there’s almost always a weekly coupon for 40%, 50%, or even 60% any one regularly priced item, and the staff will sometimes tell you to look it up on your phone if you forgot to bring one in.

OK — here’s some interesting trivia for you. This store, located behind the Moorestown Mall, is the first AC Moore store(referred to as Store 1 by employees) and was 20 years old before the refurb. The new store is the first of AC Moore’s generation two layouts, including trains, digital publishing stations, two huge classrooms, and oodles of enhancements. Fun fact — the truck in the store was previously from Old Navy! I guess they gave the AC Moore folks a great deal! The selection here can’t be beat(like a dozen types of feather boas right as you walk in people — how can you beat that!) and the new digital publishing and custom framing solutions tops in the industry.
