Finding a new hairdresser can be a scary process — choose wrong, and you could spend the next 6 months crying into the mirror and wearing ponytails to hide the carnage.
Having had such an experience in the past, I was nervous about finding a new stylist after moving to Washington. Luckily, I read some reviews on Unilocal and gave Leslie F. a call at J Paul Salon. Wahoo, I found a new hairdresser on the first try! No tears at all!
Leslie is very sweet, and gave me a great cut. I have long, layered hair, and I like to go months between cuts. She clearly understood how to give me the cut I wanted, checking in with me frequently to make sure she and I were still on the same page.
Bonus points for the salon’s view of Puget Sound, and for the local kitty that might warm your lap during your cut.

This is a great salon with a friendly staff and a beautiful setting overlooking the ferry terminal in Mukilteo. Parking is easy and a nice coffee and sandwich shop around the corner. I totally recommend Leslie, who has one of the best view chairs. She is easy to talk to and always gives a consistent cut. Good price for a cut and rinse for guys.

Finally someone who can cut my naturally curly long hair. Leslie F. is the best of the best. She really knows how hair moves! She also cut my 19 year old son’s long curly hair into a tossled, short, ultra hip style. Plus she’s very sweet.

I’ve been going to Leslie for years and she’s always done a great job on color and cuts. Ask for Leslie F.– you’ll be glad you did.

I have been getting my hair cut with Tami for over 10 years. She does a great job and I highly recommend her.

Of all the salons I have been to (and with this head of bright blond locks, there has been a good many), none is better then J Paul! For starters, you can’t ask for a better location. The less then ideal parking is quickly compensated for by the fantastic view of Mukilteo, that extends clear out to the ferry dock and beyond. Watching the people and the waves makes for soothing place to relax while you wait and process. Also, all the girls are so sweet and polite, they always make you feel welcome and like an old friend. Of course all the stylists are fantastic, but Tami is my first choice all day every day. She took my fried, dead, worthless hair and turned it healthy and fabulous again. She was understanding and patient with me, and always does an awesome cut and color! Top notch for sure :)

Tami has been my hairdresser for about 15 years and I wouldn’t go anywhere else! J Paul Salon is a great salon and Tami always does a fantastic job with my color and cut. Do yourself a favor and make an appointment.

Having a good hair dresser is worth traveling for. My hair dresser of almost 16 years is now located at the j Paul salon, and despite the drive from Seattle it is so worth it! Knowing I will always have quality color and cut is worth any drive for my Tami!
