What a bummer. A hair cutting business that wont cut hair. hmm. i wrote to the salon to see how much it would cost to get bangs i needed a new due and bangs was what i wanted. and they replied back saying «We offer complimentary bang trims between regular appointments but don’t generally just cut someone’s bangs. Sorry!. so if i walked in and wanted them to give me bangs they wouldnt do it. What a shame. But i did find another salon that was more then willing to give me bangs and did a great job. Guess that salon will be getting my business

I was so pleased to have found this salon! As another reviewer mentioned, it truly is a gem of a salon. Emily is a very talented, skilled, and accommodating stylist and she did an amazing job on my brazilian blowout, color touch up, and highlighting. She really knows her stuff and it is obvious that she loves what she does and her ultimate goal is to make the customer happy with the outcome. So thrilled to have found my new stylist! The atmosphere is very calm and relaxing and the time slots are nice and flexible. So glad I found this place and I look forward to continuing to come for all my hair care needs!

This gem of a salon was a very pleasant surprise. I’ve gotten sick of flying back to San Francisco to get my hair done. A few months back I had a terrible dye job at a very expensive salon in San Francisco and have been trying to get my hair back to normal with different stylists ever since. $ 125 to come home and even have your boyfriend ask if that was the color you meant to have… It’s a bad feeling. This place is a bit out of the way for me but the atmosphere, good prices and talented staff makes it worth the drive. Emily was flexible with her timing and helping me make the best decision on what treatments would work best for my hair. Emily’s coworkers helpfully offered their expertise and advice as well. It really felt like a collaborative environment where everyone wants you to come out happy with your new hairstyle. We settled on a tint and keratin treatment. It looks beautiful now that it is complete. I feel like a new woman finally back to feeling confident in the way I look. All five of the other long term clients that came in and out while I was there left looking gorgeous! I met Ronna the owner as well and she was lovely and friendly. This place really feels like a community. I’m looking forward to coming back. Its been less then 24 hours and 3 strangers have stopped me to tell me how beautiful my red hair looks. I will be giving out Style Studio 53’s number and recommending its talented staff. Thanks Emily!!!

This is a lovely salon. Clean and friendly staff. Owned locally. Purchased an amazon deal and was able to upgrade it as well. Amy did a wonderful job and my hair still looks great after a few weeks. All the staff was friendly and attentive. Thank you for a wonderful job done on my hair. I also received a Thank you note from Amy with a discount on any future services after a week which I really appreciated. Great job ladies.

I went here in desperation because another salon had turned my hair a pastel yellow instead of the dark blond I was looking for (after two visits– the first my hair was orange.) I actually went in to buy a silver shampoo in hopes it would get the yellow out, and Ronna (sp?) the owner recommended coming by to get some correction, pointing out the Amazon Local deal.
I saw Emily and Destiny, who both worked on my hair. It went from Peep-​worthy yellow to a lovely copper dark blond with amazing highlights. It looks incredible; I’ve never seen my hair looking so beautiful. They also, gratis, did a few alterations on my recent haircut that made it work much better. Everyone working there was friendly and knowledgeable. Stop by!

I love this salon!!! I’ve been looking for a place where the stylist understands my spontaneity and my personal style and I’ve found it.
Stemming from a referral from a former co-​worker I made an appointment with Amanda. My hair is Asian and short. It tends to get really heavy and it doesn’t take long for it to get unmanageable. As a mom of three teens I also want the balance of still having that cool, edgy style without looking like I’m trying too hard. Amanda listens to what the client wants and discusses the different options based on the type of hair you have and how much maintenance it would take.
When she colors, foils and/​or cuts your hair, you get the sense that not only is she confident in what she is doing, but she loves doing it. I feel comfortable telling her the ideas I have for my hairstyle and let her do her thing. I’ve only had the pleasure of seeing her twice so far but she is my go-​to gal and it will be sending referrals her way.
Oh and I mustn’t forget Destinee — stylist in training. Sweet girl and also has fun.
Do note that due to the popularity, you may expect to wait five or six weeks to get in but if there is a cancelation Amanda will contact you that space is available.
I cannot wait for my next appointment!!!

This salon is the place to go for every kind of hair. I have received many different types of cuts and colors from them over the years, and was never disappointed with my fabulous new look. Unfortunately I moved away… and no salon has compared. I can’t wait to move back to the area and have them around again! They are the best there is ! Go to them if you have a hard time trusting someone with your locks… they will make you feel safe! Plus it is just a relaxing and fun environment!

I had an issue with a 2-​year old certificate for a facial, but the manager figured everything out, was kind and professional, and even gave us a free massage for the trouble. Even when I got snippy (It’s been a loooong day!), she remained calm and courteous. Everything worked out, and this is a great day spa/​salon!
The women here are very kind and sweet, and I recommend treating yourself here! The services are wonderful, you won’t be sorry!

the employees are rude. one of the girls (the name starts with a J) messed up on my treatment and then wanted to add addt’l $ 40 for a trim which was included in the treatment!
when the owner was notified she could care less. save your money and go somewhere else!
