Master Nails

Very disappointing. Asked for a shellac manicure but hardly received a manicure at all. No exfoliation, no hot towel, no cuticle oil. My hands were left feeling quite dry. Very little attention to shape of the nail. Shellac color was applied unevenly. Shellac colors were gaudy and out dated.

I’ve been twice and had great experiences both times. It’s so relaxing. They play classical music and have the lights dimmed. The staff is very friendly, it’s pretty and clean. I leave with a great pedicure and their rates are in line with other places I think. They serve wine, too.

I have been going to master nails in Mukilteo for my mani/​pedi. I’m so impressed with the cleanliness, selection of colors and professionalism. I love Amy. My nails and toes are perfect. She is very sweet and accommodating. Beautiful shop too.

I just came back here recently after it changed names again and was curious to see if the service has changed at all and I was pleasantly surprised that the service has gotten even better. I got a pedicure for my boyfriend and I and they were very prompt at getting us in and in a chair. Both the ladies who worked on us were very nice and through. We even added a paraffin treatment which was super nice. If you are looking for a very reasonable nice place to get your nails done I would give this place a try.

My pedicure at Master Nails was the best ever! The massage was long and then it still didn’t end. I had a nice glass of wine while being pampered. So far my favorite place in Mukilteo!

Meh. Spending $ 70 on nails should result in better than meh feelings. Completely overcharged us!
Went in to get a pedicure and shellac manicure while my 9yr old got her fingers and toes painted. Their price list mani/​pedi is $ 33 yet they charged me separately $ 23 for the pedi and $ 23 for the shellac. I understand shellac can be more but most places only charge $ 5 more then the mani/​pedi combo price. They charged us $ 24 for my daughter’s nail painting… NOT kids mani NOT a kids pedi, literally all it was was painting and a flower. When I called today to ask how much kids were, I was told $ 5/​hands and $ 7/​feet plus $ 3/​ea for the flower. Hers should have been $ 18 not $ 24. They made the 20% anniversary discount sound like a deal but in all honesty all they did was charge us 20% more then deduct it like it was a discount. I didn’t make a stink about it last night because it was a special time for me and my daughter but I will NEVER go there again. Ripping off customers is not a way to run a business. For what it’s worth the flower looked pretty and my shellac, minus the silver strip that looks like crap, is decent.

Arrived at 5:15 pm on a Thursday; one other client was there so service was fast.
Foot massage was limited. The polish on both of big toenails was smudged with grit in it.
Hand massage was poor. The technician butchered my cuticles and two of my fingers were swollen the following day. The polish didn’t reach back to my cuticles.
Does anyone know how to shape nails anymore?
For a quick, mediocre mani/​pedi, this is your place. Price was average but high considering the quality.

I Had my first pedicure at Master Nails by Jessica and wanted to immediately post a review because it was the pedi I have ever had. The girls are so sweet and always fit me in even without appointment. I would highly recommend Jessica for pedicures and Helen for manicures /​nails. They are amazing.

Very clean. Friendly staff who know how to do nails. I get pampered here ever three weeks. They have the hot rock massage when you get a pedi. Never had a bad experience.

My daughter and I both LOVE Master Nails!
Our individual needs are cared for, I have soft nails and my feet tend to callous, she has hard nails and tender skin.
We are treated like friends, not like a number.
The place is clean, we are offered beverages and if they are slow they use that time to give you a little extra massage, not gab on the phone, like some of the other local nail salons.
I have also been happy with my eyebrow waxing.

Horrible. I mean I should say the place is clean, nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Possibly inexperienced. Went for a fill on acrylic set, very sloppy, not filed straight, fill uneven, left a big hump in my nails. Then was talked into a gel top coat, it looked pretty but made them very thick and the next day the thumb chipped on my steering wheel. By day three they looked like hell, dull, chipped and peeling, my cuticles are dry and cracked even. I had called and was told to come by they would fix it. I went in to my salon and was told that I had to have a whole new set because the gel ruined the acrylic. Suggested I get my money back. OK sounds easy enough. Nope no refunds but they did agree it was a mistake. They did offer to take the $ 35 I had spent for the fill, paint and gel and put it towards a new set. Really are you kidding me, its their fault, they screwed up, but I have to pay for it, thank god I didn’t have my eyebrows waxed.
