Taco Del Mar

The employee working was messing with floor mats then went to back by sink area. Never washed hands. Then went to wiping down counter and sorting silverware, Stocking plates, lids. Etc very unclean I am a new customer and will not be back I also will forward this review to health department also.
When I was leaving I asked the employee when the manager was going to be in next and she really didn’t want to tell me but she said that he would be in this weekend. I will be stopping in to see him. I am sure he will like to know about this experience.
I have stopped in to speak with the manager and he must either not exist or they don’t want to speak to me about this issue because from what I am told he is never there when I stop in.
I will be contacting the health department about this.

Alright, I used to love this place. But over the last two years, the quality has gone way down. Today I decided it was time to write a review. First they got super stingy with the toppings, now their steak is so disgusting, I can’t believe it. It was like three day old roast that was filled with by-​products. Goodbye taco del Mar.

This Taco Del Mar is located in the QFC Strip Mall, next to the Bistro. The parking is always plentiful, and the outside of the restaurant is always clean. Inside is a bit on the small side but it’s always very clean and well stocked too.
I pick up dinner here every Sunday and the lady that works on Sundays is the absolute best! She’s sweet, helpful, and awesome to chat with. She always greets you when you come in and thanks you for visiting.
The food is consistently delicious! All around great place to grab some grub!

I haven’t been to Taco Del Mar in years and forgot how good it was! It wasn’t very busy when we went in so there was no line. I was glad to see that they had lids over everything so that it wasn’t sitting out while they weren’t busy.
I love the build to order style of ordering. I got the burrito bowl with chicken, the chicken is shredded chicken but was so good and moist. The meat was a little spicy but I liked it!
The lady who was working was vey nice and had great customer service. She greeted us right when we walked in and checked in on how our food was.

I don’t know why this place got low reviews. I find this place better than other Taco Del Mar.
This place got a big portion. I asked for water and she asked me how many. Some places stright don’t like it when a customer don’t buy a drink.
I am definitely coming back here with my family.

I come here and get the salad with chicken. It is pretty fast because I never see it too crowded. I asked for salsa and they said it was 50 cents. I think they didn’t charge for that they could get more business.

Afer sending two emails to coperate, one email to TD’s holding company, a facebook message and two negative comments. The store owner sends an apology and offers up an invite for a free meal. Instead I choose to reicieve a gift card for my full meal. this is the story… I wrote review/​complaint a few weeks back… also sent a email to corporate. I expected an apology or a meal voucher… Evidently this store owner /​manager and corporate dont care for customer satisfaction or Safe food handeling practices mandated by the state. Ive included my review from before below.
Three week ago on a Saturday night I stopped with my girlfriend for dinner. It was peek dinner hour and the place looked closed. The taco bar cook was out in the dinning room moping the floor. She said «hi» and wheeled the mop bucket full dirty water to the start of the «order here» area so we couldnt even get into the line without stepping over the bucket. The cook/​prep person never washed her hands. she just started making our food. As far as I know from working in the food industry myself in my youth. If the cook leaves the line and does another activity, you must wash your hands, then put on glove if you are making «ready to eat foods». Very disgusting. We couldnt hear or understand the prep person, It made ordering difficult. I ordered fish Tacos, the fish was cold (fridge temp) and slimy/​gritty, the tortilla were cold. My girlfriend got a taco salad. The shell was burned and the beef inside was cold, and the lettuce was brown and wilted. She got a bottled drink myself I got a fountain drink, many of the soda dispensers were ot of soda. And the iced teas (gold peak) were both empty or not working… The cashier must have been new, or a personal friend of the cook, but spoke no english, didnt know how to work the register and she couldnt make simple change. I wrote this same review to there corporate office three weeks ago and got now response Great customer care, right. Especially since there office is local. At minimum I would expect to get a gift card for a free meal or two, along with a generic corporate apology.
I have eaten at a bunch of Taco Del mars all over the state, and wished there were more locations. But given the lack of care or concern from corporate. I will not ever eat or recommend any of my friends family or business associates eat at this store. You guys suck… Enjoy the 17 dollars I paid for an unpleasant experience and meal. It will be the last dime you get from me… Diners eat here at your own risk…

I hate giving bad reviews but this time I feel I must. We stopped there for lunch yesterday because we had a coupon for buy one get one free burrito. We ordered two burritos, a quesadilla and three drinks. Even with the «free» burrito our total was over $ 25.+ That sounded really high to me since the burritos were supposed to be $ 5.50 each and the quesadilla was $ 3.50… We did order 3 small drinks and sour cream and guacamole on the side but that still didn’t add up. My husband paid so I wasn’t aware of the price until we sat down to eat and he said he wasn’t given a receipt. As I sat there eating my sad burrito and totaling up our purchase in my head a gentleman returned to the place holding several bags of to-​go food he had just left with. He nicely told the owner he thought he was overcharged and the owner began arguing with him saying he charged him the right amount. He said it was extra for for cheese, beans, meat… WHAT? The guy was so angry he stormed out of there. It was a bad scene. So, apparently the owner is charging for every item that goes into your burrito — cheese, rice, meat, beans… so what comes in a burrito if you don’t include those things in the first place??? It doesn’t make sense and it isn’t what’s listed on the menu. I can see charging for extra stuff like sour cream or guacamole or extra meat, cheese… But that’s not what he’s doing. He treats his customers bad and is ripping people off. Plus the burritos were pretty sorry. We will never go back.

Every time I’m in there the boss is always arguing with customers about using those $ 5 dollar punch cards and is very picky about which ones he accepts. It’s horrible customer service. He is also rude to his employees. I absolutely love taco del mar just NOT this location. It’s never a good time. I always feel self conscious when I finally get to use my punch card because once he asked me where’d you get this? As if it’s not a genuine taco del mar card. What the hell. Sorry, I didn’t get it punched every single time at your store. Never again.

I agree with other reviewers. I LOVE Taco Del Mar but this one stinks! The owner is so cheap and tries to tack on every cost he can and the portions are so small. Unfortunately, I live in the area so it is more of a drive to go to another TDM. I usually try to eat at TDM when I am at work so I can go to a store I like. It is too bad because the chain is great-​just not this store.

Went for lunch. Food was fine but I felt ripped off. They post prices, but up charge for «up-​grades» without telling you. Pork is extra? Just ask for every item, because seems like want to jack up the register without you knowing.

I generally enjoy TDM. However, this particular place is very stingy on the portions. When your burrito is more foil than food, then it’s time to find a different place.

My wife and I were recently married in Mukilteo and we had this Taco Del Mar do the catering for the reception. Now we know tacos are not an everyday wedding meal but we were on a budget. It also better suited our low key, more casual type of wedding. Gary and his crew at Taco Del Mar were very professional in handling all the food for our 120+ guests. Everything we wanted for the Taco Bar, they provided. It was great not having to worry about food on the big day because I knew they had everything covered. They even brought chocolate chip cookies which was a nice surprise for our guests! We received lots of compliments about the taco bar and how much fun it was for everyone to make exactly what they wanted. We would recommend anyone using their catering services for an event. They really went all out! Thanks!

We recently traveled from the east coast to the west. Along our journey we saw a lot of stops with signs for Taco Del Mar, but in hopes to make good time we passed. One day while waiting to get my car washed we saw this location right by the car detailing shop. We decided to take a quick lunch and stop in. When we walked in we noticed it was a similar set up to one of our personal favorites Chipotle. I think this kind of set the tone for our expectations. I think the service and the food was less than desirable.
The beef was very dry and Im pretty sure the rice was sitting there for a few hours. There was very little flavor to the food and the salsa and sour cream did not really help. The quacamole did not taste like it was actually made with avacados, and if it was. it was very processed.
Im sure this place is a staple in some communities, but from our experience I would suggest you save your money. If you’re really looking for a cheap meal on the go I would suggest taco bell before I would recommend trying this place.

Even though it’s a chain, they make some pretty tasty, basic mexifood. Some people have said it’s not flavorful enough or too basic, I counter that with saying that you can choose what flavors you want so you may just have to play with it to get it just right. It took me a couple of tries to know my perfect burrito and now that I do, TDM is one of my go to spots. My only beef is that I ask for just a little guacamole and a little extra sour cream. They charge me for the sour cream, but they are saving money on the guacamole. I know that sounds cheap of me, but it kind of irks me to pay for it…
