Super friendly staff, cozy atmosphere. Lots to choose from on the menu. Good food, prices are a little high.

Great Restaurant for good food with excellent service. The coffee is good and plentiful. The menu is basic Pacific Northwest American Breakfast

Not perfect but very friendly service. They seem to have a lot of regulars. Everything was freshly prepared and tasty; some of the things we tasted include an omelette(egg whites), fluffy pancakes, biscuit and gravy, beef hash, and a benny. I liked that they have a half portion option. Great stop on our way to Future of Flight. Best part was the decision to get a whole pie to-go. The Oregon berry pie was absolutely fantastic.

I wasn’t too impressed, my wife seemed to enjoy it. It wasn’t bad but not anything great. Don’t even remember what I ordered. I would be willing to give them another try. I’m open to the idea that this place could be good.

Probably the Best breakfast place in Mukilteo. Good food good service the staff is always friendly. They are very flexible with their menu especially for kids. It can be a little busy in the morning on the weekends but that’s just because it’s such a great place to eat. It’s clean and bright and there’s always plenty of parking.

Food was average in taste and quantity. Prices were slightly higher than comparable restaurants. It seemed like this was a place patronized by locals” who could have more opportunities to judge by more than one meal. Atmosphere was relaxed. Wait staff was friendly and perky in the morning.

The food here is always great! I always get the California omelet, the avocados are always fresh and the hash browns are always crispy. I do think that the hostess here are always mad and unfriendly. Gives a terrible look for the restaurant

My folks took me to this café fresh off the airplane from the East Coast. Boy was I hungry. I got the Kentucky Club which came with a lovely bean and ham soup. My companions had the clam chowder, and some amazing looking pancake thing. Traditional American breakfast and lunch food well done. Prices are a bit high for sandwiches, but you do get a lot of food!

Our new Favorite place in Mukilteo for breakfast! We knew we would love this restaurant as we have eaten numerous times at their Bothell and Woodinville locations over the years. The menus seem to be the same and we can get consistent great food each time. It is a family home-style type of restaurant, and each of their restaurants sports a really cool theme, with old photos and memorabilia on the walls. I ordered the California Benedict, and had them substitute whole wheat bread instead of the english muffin. It was amazing. My husband had bacon(extra crispy) and eggs with hash-browns. So good. We shared an order of their buckwheat pancakes which we love every time. In past years, at one of the other locations, I have ordered the Monte Cristo. That is a really good dish with interesting flavors mixed together. You could eat that for either lunch or breakfast. I like it with lots of maple syrup, which you have to ask for since it comes with strawberry freezer jam. At their other locations, we have tried their meatloaf, pot roast, and homemade pies. All so good. We highly recommend this restaurant.

We visited before touring the Boeing factory & museum. I got the triple fruit waffle combo with bacon & eggs, my boyfriend got the turkey melt. Mine was delicious and amazing, he said his was good but not great. He did note that it was made with chunks of turkey meat rather than processed meat, which he liked. My waffle was piled high with fresh fruit, mine was super good. Service was good, clean dining room, all employees were friendly.

The food is good; your standard hot and well made breakfast café with large portions. What made it great was the service! I can’t say when I have had better service at a restaurant!!! The waitstaff was all super friendly and incredibly helpful, even with my crazy toddler.

Excellent. New to the area. Had breakfast here twice this week before long days of unpacking. Both times the food was excellent and reasonably priced with generous portions. The staff was friendly and attentive even on a busy Saturday morning. Tried the bacon waffle, pancakes, chicken fried steak and biscuits and gravy.

Portions are huge and taste just ok. Their service is very slow. It takes a lifetime for them to seat you, give you menus, take your order, give you your food, and to give you your check. My coworkers and I went during our lunch break and we had to eat our food quickly because it took longer than an hour.

I walked in on this place by chance while on a business trip up to Everett. I was seated quickly and was served coffee immediately. The then waitress came over and took my order. The food was on my plate in less than 10 minutes. Awesome. Speed aside, the food itself was great. You can’t really mess up eggs and bacon, but the buttermilk pancakes were killer. Some of the tastiest and fluffiest I’ve eaten thus far. Try it out if you’re in the market for a quick and filling breakfast!

Portions are large-ish Prices are reasonable Food is «good»(nothing incredible) Service is hit or miss. It seems like the servers play the«I doubt they’re going to tip me» game and start with bad service if that’s how they feel you out. I just want a water refill and maybe some extra creamer, jeez.

Disappointing, I had hoped for great food & got high priced & very average. Mukilteo needs s much better restaurant or this one needs a menu & chef makeover.

This place is one of the worst places for food and service. I tend to try places twice to give them the benefit of the doubt, and the twice I been to this place I ended up sick for the rest of the day. To me that’s a great sign to not visit that place ever again. Food: each time I was there, I ordered an omelet, different one each time, yet they both got me sick? Hmmm something wrong with the cooking methods? Anyhow, food was bland, no favor, no taste and it felt like nothing was fresh in their ingredients. Service: they tend to forget about you if you don’t order coffee, I had to chase down my waitress to get her to refill my water, yet she gave me an attitude for asking her to do her job. Better yet she looked at me like a «weirdo» when I asked her for a pitcher of water due to her slow service. Did I get the water? Weeellllll no I didn’t. Price: their prices for the bland food and the horrible service is epically high. I would never eat there again even if they offer free food.

This is our new favorite breakfast place! Every single staff member was warm, friendly, and prompt! Aside from a normal Saturday morning wait to be seated, our experience was perfection. The coffee and breakfast was delicious, and our server was awesome. We never waited more than 10 seconds for something once it was asked for. Come give this place a try, we’ll be back!

In an attempt to beat the Father’s Day rush for breakfast at a restaurant, my family and I decided to try a new breakfast place on Saturday. I happen to love waffles and am always looking for a new place to try and find a great Seattle waffle shop. When we first moved to Seattle my quest for a decent waffle lasted months. There were just no good waffles to be found anywhere in North Seattle. Since then, we have found a number of places and many new ones have opened up. Saturday morning my search turned up the Mukilteo Speedway Café so we grabbed the kids and drove up the expressway to the Café to give them a shot. The people working there were all smiling and happy. The place seemed to buzz with a positive energy and our way was only about five minutes before we were seen to a booth where all five of us had no problem sitting and relaxing while coffee, hot chocolate and big surprise, loose leaf Earl Grey tea were delivered to us promptly. We perused the extensive menu and all of us found many things we’d like to eat. I ordered bacon waffles, a side of eggs over easy and bacon while the rest were ordering their meals. Our wait was not too long, perhaps fifteen minutes, and during that time the staff came by often to top off our cups and make sure we were doing well. I first took a taste of the syrup. It was obvious by both it’s near transparent nature as well as taste that it was corn syrup rather than true maple syrup. It was that sharp sugary taste common with sugar made from corn rather than a maple tree. Disappointing but not defeated i spread butter on my waffle and poured of syrup on my plate. Cutting into the waffle I could tell right away that I would be disappointing even further. The waffle was not at all crispy. If I had picked it up I assure you it would have folded over like a limp piece of old lettuce. Taking a bite I could taste the bacon strongly, and mixed with the syrup it made a pleasant taste, but that could not overcome the unfortunate texture of my waffle. Turning to my eggs for a moment, which I had ordered over-medium(firm whites, runny yolks), I cut into them and noticed right away that not only were they rather cool, the whites were still very soft and a bit runny. I know that maybe some people don’t mind their eggs like this but for me, I have to have the whites firmly cooked. Looking around the table I could see that many of the rest of the family too were disappointing in their meals. My wife’s eggs and bacon were cold. My daughter’s waffle and strawberries exhibited the same problem as mine, limp. My son’s pancakes were merely okay. When I tasted them they had a very similar taste to my waffles which was also disappointing as the two batters really are different. About the only part of our meal that anyone really thought was good were the hash browns which were crispy and well cooked. Since there are so many breakfast places in and around Seattle I don’t imagine we’ll find our way back to the Mukilteo Speedway Café even with the excellent service. Good service cannot overcome mediocre food even at the best of times.
