The food is just ok. However, given there is no nice place in this area, it is sort of your go to place for brunch if you have friends in town.

So this review is for dinner.(Brunch is a definite 4) Everything we ordered was good but a tad ‘off’… I had the Asian pear salad but I would’ve liked to know there are almost no greens and basically a whole pear for $ 12! Next we had two pasta dishes(one with squash and chicken Apple sausage, other with sausage and shrimp). Here’s the thing — the idea was good but the ‘fresh pasta’ really wasn’t done right. It felt like Ramen noodles — super strange texture. Aside from that, a spaghetti type pasta really doesn’t complement these plates. I’d much prefer a small or medium pasta(maybe you should outsource this instead of ‘fresh’ at home)…it was an ‘almost great’ meal.

We come here almost every Sunday for breakfast and it never disappoints. The«special menu» is based off what’s in season and is always delicious. The stuffed French toast and pancakes are unbeatable. If you like a more savory breakfast the eggs Normandy are also a personal favorite. The staff is extremely friendly and even when the place is packed they still greet you with a smile and a calm disposition. Their dinner and lunch menu are also extremely good but the breakfast is the BEST!

I forgot to mention they charge .50 cents for onions on your cheesesteak, only in Mullica Hill!

Great little local diner. Food was all very fresh and well prepared and if the Hollandaise was from a packet it fooled me! Much better then the mediocre joint just down the street with the prime location.

Gave it a try. not for me. I thought the food was bland, especially the SOS. Irks me when a place uses canned sweet peppers meant for a hoagie or sandwich and puts em in my omelette. Completely ruined it for me. Service was good.

The Blue Plate is excellent for breakfast. Portions are huge and for a great price. Staff is courteous and tend to your needs quickly. I highly recommend the omelet special and scrapple. Thanks to chef Jim and his staff.

I’ve been going to Blue Plate since it was called Hill Top for Sunday brunch. My go to dish that I get everytime is the crab bisque. It’s amazing! I would go back for that alone. I also get a side of their homemade chips; which are the best homemade chips I’ve found in the south jersey area. Also, for all the bacon lovers, they actually cook your bacon how you request it. My family only eats crispy crispy bacon and they get it right everytime. It is a small place, so Sunday brunch can get crowded. I’ve never been there for dinner but I have heard that it’s very good.

Decided to go here for breakfast yesterday. Overall it was a good experience. My only, and I guess it’s most important, complaint would be the food. I ordered the creamed chip beef and got a side of scrapple. The chipped beef was very VERY bland. Had no taste whatsoever. I’ve made better at home from the frozen packages you get at the grocery store. The scrapple was fine, but a little pricy for the portion. For what it’s worth, my gf enjoyed her meal. I forget it’s name, but it was an open faced sandwich with some sauce on top. I’m not sure if it’s worth the trip to just get okay food when there are better breakfast spots closer.

Blueplate is an absolute gem in Mullica Hill. The area is overall pretty starved of quality eateries, so it was nice to revisit this cutesy dining room and see them still serving up hearty meals on Main Street. Not to mention, lunch was crazy cheap! I ordered the chicken salad club on white toast, without tomatoes, but with bacon for a $ 1 up-charge, while my mom ordered a fruit cup and a… pancake. Like, one singular pancake. It was massive and she was happy she stuck with one. Meanwhile, a small child at a nearby table had three of them. Not sure how that ended! My chicken salad tasted fresh and healthy. I do wish they had cut it into fours since it was stuffed with meat and it kept falling out of the bread. But otherwise, it was a stellar sandwich, and the bacon really made it. The only miss of the meal? Gingerbread coffee. This is apparently«popular,» but it really tasted like regular coffee with just a hint of spice to me. It really wasn’t anything special, and even after doctoring it up with half and half and sugar, I was still pretty disappointed with it. Ah, well. You should definitely consider Blueplate if you’re driving through Glouco. It’s easy to feel right at home in their comfortable space.

We really enjoyed our brunch here on Christmas Eve. I had the Spinach and Sundried Tomato on a puff pastry. It was like eggs Benedict but on a puff pastry. Very tasty special. I would give it 4 stars, but service was a bit slow for not having every table filled… it could have been because they didn’t have full staff for the holiday, but not sure. I would love to go back for dinner.

I came here for brunch with a friend. My French toast was fabulous, though I was a bit disappointed with the blueberries(though bonus points that they come from a local farm) on top as many still had the stems attached to them. My friend ordered the cinnamon pancakes with a vanilla glaze on top, which were quite rich and dense. A major plus was that the service here was excellent. I would definitely return for another meal!

I am a huge fan of the Blueplate. My family goes there every Sunday for breakfast, and it is a great place for breakfast. The biggest secret about Blueplate though is the incredible dinners they serve! The meals are the type of food you find in a larger venue in town, with braised short ribs, or tarts that just stick in your mind for weeks! I have Never had a meal that I did not like there. I am often tempted to step out of my co fort zone, because I know the chef will prepare things with care and knowing if I have a special like or dislike for a certain spice or item, I am alays accommodated! Go amaze yourself at this quaint smalltown eatery. You will become a HUGE fan, like me!

5 stars across the board for food/dining/location/layout/service and menu!!! It definitely is a bit on the pricier side for a local joint but you get what you pay for!

Searched high and low for a place that was halfway between Delaware and Cherry Hill & Philly area to meet up with a friend and settled with Blueplate and it was a nice experience! The parking situation was a bit funky but Mullica Hill is a quaint little town and I appreciate the parking availability! Now to the food and experience… The waitresses are attentive and helpful through the meal and the food was simply amazing. I had a vegetable and shrimp risotto that was fresh, filling, and flavorful. Easily one of the best I’ve had and the quality of everything they make here is local and top notch. My friend had crab cakes and their potato«fries» we’re beautiful. We finished off our meal with a fresh blueberry crumb pie and nothing disappointed me about the experience! My one only qualm is that the waitress mixed up our to-go containers(imagine our portions) but it’s an honest mistake xD I would love to come back if I’m in the area!

Had a cheesesteak with housemade fries. Fries were nothing special and though the roll was fresh and delicious, it was skimpy on the steak. I didn’t even taste any cheese. The dinning room was FREEZING — we couldn’t wait to get out of there. Service was friendly, though.

There is not much of a wait and the decorations in this beautiful place is old-fashioned. I love our seatings and the food is home cooked. There is no other place I would love to go or drive to then the blue plate.
