Marcos’s is a new to Muncie. Now in a town where there is a plethora of Pizza restaurants to choose from I wondered what this place had to offer that was not already readily available here. So I made an initial order after stopping by and picking up a menu a day or so prior. I was absolutely amazed at what I found. This is not just another face in the crowd, they fill a niche that is not covered elsewhere on every corner in town. The first part of the menu that I tried was the sandwich section. Specifically, I ordered the Turkey Club. The bread was delicious, and the meat and cheese plentiful. In one bite I experienced a symphony of taste. I ordered the cheese bread as a secondary item. The cheese went from edge to edge, and it was more than just one cheese. The Romono/Parmesan blend has just the right blend of cheese and other spice to it and adds a zest without being overpowering. Now my wife does not care for as much zest as I do, so we called back and ordered an order substituting plain Parmesan for the other blend. I was skeptical… But once again the taste was robust and best of all: there was not an up-charge for the change. For desert We ordered the S’mores brownie… A limited time offer:(insert mournful cry here at the limited part) there is something amazing in the mixture of Marshmellow topping and two or three versions of Giredelli(sp?) chocolate. This would be an easy desert to mess up, but it was an absolute home run! The most amazing part of the desert was the marshmallows actually tasted like they had come off of an open campfire! Yum! Finally to the pizza. We ordered the Hawaiian Chicken pizza on standard crust, minus the bacon due to an allergy a friend has to pork. The sauce mix was incredible! The only problem I saw with the pizza was the toppings do not quite fill out the crust ring. Not a real problem because Marco’s includes your choice of crust topper, with the pizza so the crust, which is freshly made in house I am told, was soft and that outer ring doubled as some tasty breadsticks. The second pizza we ordered was a more traditional delux called the Deluxe Uno. The marinara sauce is sweeter than most, the toppings were plentiful, and the mix of the two with the generous portion of cheese for the money: perfection. I can not wait to slowly try the rest of the menu over the next few weeks. Price point for everything on the menu is fair and the value is outstanding!

This place just opened a few days ago and I actually took the liberty of downloading this app just to let people know that this pizza is HORRIBLE. God where do I even start? The crust is hard and way too thick for pizza. It’s disproportionate to the cheese and sauce so all you taste is stale crust. The sauce is just gross maybe it is just me but every bite was close to agony. Even the breadsticks don’t even taste right. A new business but the best strategy would be selling the rent space. This was my first and last time eating Marcos.
