McDowell-Nearing House

I’ve stayed with Jane twice in two years and the consistency of her beautifully appointed and immaculately clean house and rooms is perfect. Her breakfast is delicious and her hospitality exceptional. Her personal service adds to the charm. I will always stay with her if she has space while I am in Muncie. You owe it to yourself to feel like home while in Muncie.

I love this place! I’ve stayed here twice (in the room with the big shower, I forget what it’s called) and it was great! Accommodations are clean, indulgent without being over the top, and the breakfast was delicious. I wanted to redecorate my house like this place to make me as happy at home as I was here.

The McDowell-​Nearing House was perfect for our family (a group of 7) for a 4-​day long weekend visit. The house is charming, immaculately clean, comfortable, and spacious. And Jane the Innkeeper is a gracious and great hostess. She was very accommodating to our individual and group needs and helped make our visit to Muncie very special. 3 of 4 bedrooms are very spacious. All are nicely decorated, very clean with crisp linens and comfortable beds according to all the other members of our group. Breakfast was awesome, delicious and served timed to our daily requests. It also had great Wi-​Fi for web access. We all cannot say enough nice things about Jane and the B&B. We would recommend it to friends in a heartbeat and would definitely return.
