Donati’s Pizza

I have been ordering from Donatis on a weekly basis for almost 5 years now. In the 5 years Ray has done a wonderful job of mixing it up and trying new things. He offers the absolute best customer service a customer can ask for. I will continue to recommend all of the Donati’s locations to anyone who listens. Keep up the great work guys!!!

Ordered a pizza and a salad for delivery. I specified «no cheese» on the salad but when it came it had cheese. I’ve worked in restaurants and I know that in the world of multitasking, things can sometimes slip through. I called Donati’s to see if they would make another salad, I intended to pick it up. The same man who took my order initially answered, he apologized and said it was his error and that he’d send another one right away. It was here in about 10 min! I tried to tip the driver and he wouldn’t take it! That was excellent customer service and I’ll definitely order from them again. Oh, and the food was great too :)

Saturday night and no delivery after 930… Cubs still playing… no business acumen… second chance customer; received your giant coupon… I’m out!

These guys are solid on everything! Try a sammich, they are tasty!

Stopped in for a slice while waiting for an oil change down the street. I ordered 2 slices of the deep dish sausage. Good Chicago pizza with the sauce on top. The sauce is really good, has a little bit of a garlic taste to it. Very reasonable prices. 7 bucks for 2 pieces of deep dish and a Pepsi

Love coming here on my lunch breaks. Their half panino meal deal is an amazing value! The variety of sandwiches that they offer is great too! Their pizza by the slice is another good option at a good price! Im here at least 2 days a week!

Zero Stars. These yahoos send out a flyer saying «Delivery All Day Sunday» we place order online it never shows up? When I call the guy was rude, and tried to argue about the time delivery starts. Hey buddy it’s football opening Sunday smart idea to not start delivery until later, even though it say ALL DAY on your flyer. He told me, «tough luck». Why do I stray from Lou’s? There is a reason it’s only in the burbs!

Good food, good pizza and a great price and the guys working here are always friendly even though they put in some hours. I myself have been there several times and everything has been good each time. It’s not a family sit-​down-​place but a take out pizza place that has a little room for lunch. The slices are very cheap as well, and good for what little you pay.
It’s as good as it gets for the price paid, meaning it gets 5 stars.

I always go to the one in Lake Forest because the family I babysit for always orders from there and love it. I tried this location on a whim when I was in the area and the staff was just as friendly and funny and the food was great. I love the buffalo chicken pizza or the chopped salad. The kids love the pepperoni pizza and the Turkey sandwich on focaccia! They also have a fresh mozzarella sandwich that my friend loves.

Their Mundelein location is really convenient for us. So far we’ve ordered pick up from here twice last month. Both times we had the Double Dough Pepperoni Pizza, the California Mixed Green Salad and The Spinach Lasagna. Every dish was consistent expect for the salad. I enjoyed the chopped version of that salad most and will request it prepared that way in the future.

I had been meaning to try Donati’s in my search for good pizza in the area. Overall, I would say the pizza here is above average. I though the dough, although basic was crisp and perfectly cooked and light. I had a small Donati’s Special and Ohio St. See the picture I uploaded. I felt the special was pretty good. It’s just your basic pepperoni sausage mushroom onion and peppers. The toppings were well balanced and not overwhelming. I didn’t feel like they skimped. Cheese was good as well. The Ohio St was a «boutique» za’ with chicken sun dried tomato artichoke pesto sauce and chicken. It was pretty good. Could have used more sun dried tomato. I am not the biggest artichoke fan but if that’s your thing, you should like this option. Overall, I feel Donati’s deserves a little more credit than it has here on Unilocal.I think they make a better pie than many other pizza places in the area.

Usually 1 of the better pizzas in the area but the last 2 times i ordered the pizza was horrible. Today i called at 6pm and asked for delivery for 830 for my employees at work could enjoy pizza on lunch break. Todays pizza barely had any sauce and wasnt cooked at all. Cheese wasnt fully melted and the dough was completely raw.

I’ve been coming here a lot since they opened. They’re really close to work. They’re a lot better than the last 2 places in that spot!
I really like the deep dish slices. As long as they heat them up all the way!
I’ve had the Italian beef, Caribbean Joe panino, Italian panino, buffalo chicken wrap, calzone, and meatball sub… all were more than adequate. But if you want to eat cheap without going to Mcdonalds and the like… get a slice or 2!

Came in when the place first open and had a deep dish slice. Kinda nasty. Decided to try this place again a few months later hoping it would be better… Nope. Had a deep dish slice with extra cheese sausage and mushrooms. 3 pieces of mushroom to be exact. I think they precook a bunch of stuff and slop it together. Best advise is skip this place and go subway next door. Or find a gas station slice somewhere.

Came in spontaneously as I passed by with my 2 kids. For $ 1.50 a slice I couldn’t pass it by. Slices are huge, each topping is $.50. The slice is huge and delicious, and this place has definitely made a great impression on me today!

I ordered a medium Rush Street Veggie pizza which is the only white pie on the menu. It was the worst white pie I’ve ever tasted. The crust was bland and the pizza itself had absolutely no flavor despite the fact that I added extra toppings (spinach and mushroom). It’s a sad day when you realize the best pizza in your neighborhood is Domino’s…
