My family and I have loved this place for years. We have continued to come after their move to Munster, and have not been disappointed. The service is really fast and all the staff members are always welcoming and courteous. Plus the place is decorated beautifully with hanging blown glass lamps. I had the spaghetti and meatballs last time, and it was absolutely delicious. I couldn’t even help but eat all my leftovers once I got home! Thanks for always giving us a great experience café Borgia :)

Service was top notch and so was the food. Great variety to choose from throughout the menu. Prices were very reasonable, not what I expected for the portions you receive. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for delicioso Italiano. And the pinwheel cake, Fabulous.

I had lunch here yesterday and experienced the best service, the wait staff was amazing always filling our glasses with water and ice, the bread basket and butter cups never came close to being empty before they were refilled. The food was so good the portions were so big I am having leftovers today and if it’s possible they taste better today then they did yesterday. Make sure to leave room for dessert because they are amazing I had the Tiramisu it was light and fluffy not too sweet, I had to stop myself from eating the whole giant slice in one sitting, also their Mochas were perfect so much better than from Starbucks. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

One of our go to special occasion places. Excellent cocktails and wine, service is great and we just love the food. I’m vegetarian and have to eat gluten free and they are very knowledgable and helpful.

3 stars for the food but the very good service almost earns another. This place offers half portions of all pastas except the lasagna, which allows you to try many dishes. We had the lasagna, risotto, cannelloni, salmon, Of the entrees, the risotto and salmon were the tastiest. The portions are massive, which is great, so we didn’t get to try dessert. But I’d definitely come again if in the area.

Nice spacious place can even see the cooks. Lots of parking. No need to dress fancy. Best bread ever or tied with Cheese Cake Factory. Food was great. Better then Olive Garden’s fast food style stuff(their they use frozen pasta ect). Prices not to bad. I love supporting local not big chains that are just for profits. Want real fresh food it costs a little more. Want cheap preprocessed, tasteless, microwaved food laced with chemicals go to to Mc Donald’s even $ 6+ to eat their. Just made the mistake of ordering 2 small bottles of root beer’s at $ 5.

From a small, very small place in Lansing to a great atmosphere in Munster! Great food and over the top service, love it! You will not be disappointed

So yesterday we decided to try this place. The three stars were for the good service which kept me from giving this place a poor review. I had the chicken vesuvio which was bland and dry the potatoes were the only thing with flavor. Really disappointed because I expected so much more from all the good reviews. It was pretty mediocre.

It’s got good Italian food but the design causes restaurant to be extremely noisy, but tolerable if you go in off hours like late afternoon It’s the closest Italian restaurant to my House and yet we only eat here once a year or less

Very pricey, but such a wonderful place to go for something special. The décor is nice and classy but, ya know, this is Northwest Indiana, so most people show up in jeans. If you want a salad to start your meal, it’s gonna cost you another 7 or 8 bucks, but it’ll be full of interesting ingredients, so I don’t mind tooooo much. But it’s a far cry from a place like Little Italy(which you should absolutely try if you haven’t), where your $ 15 chicken entrée comes with a side of salad AND a side of ziti. The service here is almost too attentive. You practically have your own busboy any time something needs to be removed from the table or you need your drink refilled. Honestly, I found it a little annoying, but it was pretty impressive.

Visited again last night. I’m thinking it must be hit or miss here. Last night food and service both well done. Two entrees, 2 salads and a bottle of wine with tip around 80 bucks.

Truly flavorful food from the yellow tomato salad to the spaghetti and meatballs. Good(if occasionally slow) service.

Excellent Italian food. Appetizers were okay but the scallops stood out. The pastas are good and homemade. I enjoyed the sausage gnocchi with vodka sauce. The crème brûlée and watermelon margarita were good too.

If I hear one more person say that they do not like this place because of the tall ceilings I am going to scream. Café Borgia is the best truly Italian restaurants in Lake and Porter County. From the moment you are greeted at the door to the moment you walk out it is top of the line service. My glass nor my butter are ever empty. And speaking of butter, all you can eat along with bread. There is not a damn thing on the menu that you can go wrong with. You don’t like something on the dish? Ask them to change it. I get their vodka sauce on everything. Do yourself a favor and take someone out on a date to this place. You won’t forget it. And don’t forget you to look up while in the dining room and appreciate the glass lights.

Friends have tried to get me to come here for years. I’ll make this a regular stop from now on. The owners are so friendly. I had some great service at the bar too! I noticed they do a nice carry out business. I’ll keep that in mind when I’m working in Munster. My friend and I sat at the bar and had some wine and split a pizza. We went with the 4 cheese pizza. It was delicious! My friend has had dinner here several times and loves all the entrees. I’ll make sure I show up hungrier next time.

Came here with my boyfriend on our way back from a weekend in Chicago and we’re sure glad we did. First sign of a good restaurant came when we pulled in and the parking lot was almost completely full during an off hour(around 4 in the afternoon). Ended up finding a spot at the very back but luckily weather was nice and we’d eaten so much good food in Chicago that it was good to burn a few calories walking the extra leg. The staff was all super nice when we walked in, they even demo-ed the large automatic bread slicer that they had in the entrance when I asked how it worked. Super cool. The décor was very pretty as well with murals on the walls and pretty glass light fixtures. They even had echo deterring ceiling pads and a sound system hooked up to the roof. As for the food, I got the butternut squash ravioli and my boyfriend the spinach goat cheese pizza. They were both delicious and we both ended up with about the same amount of leftovers as the food we ate while there. I would definately recommend the ravioli. I was skeptical at first since I normally like some sort of meat or protein in my food but there was so much stuffing in each ravioli and the butternut squash was very smooth and tasty. The basil dressing and pasta skin paired very nicely and flavors really worked well together. The pizza was also very good. I’d be excited to visit when the weather is warmer and they open up their outdoor seating area. Definately a good pit stop!

I loved this place. It’s a traditional Italian restaurant which was fantastic! We came in on a Sunday afternoon after the lunch crowd so it wasn’t crowded. We were sat immediately. The service was excellent, the bus boy was very efficient and friendly. The waiter was the same as well as very knowledgeable. The décor is very unique, creative and what you expect of a nice Italian restaurant. I don’t usually mention bathrooms, but in this case they are worth mentioning. Probably one of the nicer bathrooms I’ve ever been in for a restaurant of this price range. Now you usually go to a restaurant for the food and they Didn’t disappoint here either. I split a four seasons pizza that was delicious. The group also had spag and meat balls, great sauce and several huge meatballs. We also had a vegetable dish with chicken which she loved. All in all a great experience for very reasonable prices.

I went for a group holiday lunch. It’s a big space, and good for events. The service was good, and quick. The portions are big. Each of the entrees would have been enough for two, maybe with a soup and salad or app to start. There’s lots of parking, it’s basically in an office park, so there’s plenty of space around. The lasagna was good, very meaty and piping hot. We ordered a variety of things, and everyone was happy with their food. The tomato soup was creamy and very ricy, a decent-sized bowl. They have these cool glass lampshades hanging from the ceiling, although my friends thought the ceiling was way too high, and you couldn’t really enjoy the lights. The biggest issue – WHY was my water glass 90% filled with ice? It was genuinely undrinkable, not just because it was so cold, but because there was no water, so I would have been stuck chewing on ice. I asked for water and not ice, and they did it that one time, then continued dumping in ice for the rest of lunch. By the end it was all I could think about. Punishment for not ordering a soda I guess?

–Good Food With High Pressure Servers — Came in based on the reviews and was impressed by the décor and ambience. The veal shank was delicious, and HUGE. Dessert was tasty and the right size after a large entre. As mentioned in the headline, the staff was so pushy with menu items. I had to literally sell the staff member on why I didn’t want an extra item… Take your 20% tip because I don’t plan on returning.
