Delicious Halal meat — truly Halal. The owner is very kind. The Baklava is a 10 of of 10. He only needs to have hot tea or Arabic coffee, but he is so busy, this is difficult. My husband is a vegetarian and enjoys the hummus and pita. We just got back from Amman, Jordan, enjoying a close friend’s wedding, and, though we cook our own middle eastern delicacies at home, sometimes when we travel we like not having to prep ahead and enjoy finding a Halal restaurant… won’t choose otherwise. :)

Don’t let the outside of this place fool ya. Great food and prepared before you just the way you want. Good prices and large portions. Baklava is delicious.

The food is good and the place is clean, but the service is supper slow. The language barrier makes the experience an adventure.

Super fresh and not greasy. The quality is fantastic! Really good service too. Finally a place that knows how to make tzatziki sauce.

Excellent food, great prices and we are repeat customers. The gyros are great and there are a variety available. The location can appear to be challenging to get in and out of, but it is not too bad.

This place is so tasty. The staff is very friendly and the food is great. It is completely underrated. They need to promote themselves more.

I have had better and I have had worse. What led me in to eat here initially was that it looked like a dump and typically you can find really good food in places that look like this — such a mess . The traffic that surrounds this restaurant is absolutely atrocious and made it nearly impossible to enter the parking lot. Nothing really left to say — I don’t think I would waste my time coming back here again

Don’t let the exterior fool you, this place is the bomb, if you’re looking for something different. The inside is clean, the food is great and the prices are fair. If you are a fan of gyros, you’ll love this place.

The staff is what makes this place great! My goober husband left his wallet at home and the owner gave him his food for free(which we later went back and paid). How nice! And I’ve heard other stories about the owner’s generosity since then. The food was pretty good. I don’t eat much Greek so I don’t have much to compare it to but I enjoyed my plate and the fruit teas were awesome!

I agree with Mike K. The food was OK, but Opah Greek Grille is definitely THEBEST in The Boro. Chicago Style Gyros just didn’t cut it for me. They microwaved the pita instead of putting it on the grill and the meat came from a serving dish, not freshly sliced and grilled. Reminded me too much of kiosk food yet in a restaurant setting. The mango iced tea was good though.

Drive by this place(quickly) and head over to Opah Grill next to Walmart if you want a Gyro. They make the best Gyros and freshest tabouli, hands down. Ask for some tabouli on your Gyro, it’s great… This place somehow claims ‘Chicago roots’ but if my memory serves me correctly they don’t have Chicago dogs or Italian Beefs. If you want any of these, head to Pawbowsky’s over on Church st. I don’t even know what a Chicago style Gyro is… Sorry«Chicago Style Gyros» but my fellow consumers need to know the truth.

Good portions, great workers, pretty good food. The falafel was a little spicy but the gyro’s were great. The tzatziki was good but not great — sort of like ranch dressing with cucumbers. We’ll be back!
