Still mediocre but FYI there is a vegetarian option: pasta primavera(not on the menu you have to ask for it)

We’ve eaten here a couple of times now, and I think have decided not to go back. The location is poor. Most of the staff is very friendly, the owners do care and are very involved. We did have terrible waitress on the last visit… But the first was good. The problem really is the food quality. It’s not bad, it’s just not up to par with the price tag and the environment this place is shooting for. It’s simply not worth the check. It’s not ridiculous priced, but like anyone we enjoy an evening at a nice restaurant and don’t mind paying for it. It’s just not there experience or taste wise. Sorry

I’ve been waiting to go here for a long time and finally did with some friends for brunch. Well I wasn’t missing anything, the food turned my stomach ugh! I had the crab omelette and that had shell in it. The table they sat us at everybody including the hostess kept pushing me into the table. I won’t be back

Wife and I decided to give it a try; was our first time and last time. Despite the fact that the place had a total of eight people eating there, it took 20 minutes for our server to take our drink order. The cook was lacking; pasta was undercooked and the chicken and shrimp was overcooked. Because of the service and food quality, we will not return

We were in town to visit MTSU and we were welcomed by the hostess. It was mid afternoon but still had several dining in at the time. I will say I was NOT impressed with the location. It sits in a location where Parthenon Grille seems to be a bit more upscale than other businesses around. Anywho, we were welcomed, seated and given menus. The waitress came over shortly after and was very friendly. We said we were in town to take a college tour and she shared in our excitement briefly. My husband was starving so he ordered the Oyster Rockefeller. He was pleased with it. For an entrée, he ordered the lamb burger which he enjoyed also. I ordered the salmon Greek salad and our daughter had the chicken fingers with fries. The food was good. I loved the salmon over the salad. My husband loved his lamb burger as well along with the appetizer(oyster). My daughter picked over food because she was tired but she enjoyed her food as well. Overall, Good food and service just a weird location!!!

For Murfreesboro, this is tops! Very nice atmosphere, clean, higher end, but not pretentious. The food has been spot on every time we’ve been. Today we placed 5 to go orders for lunch at the office, and when you get food to go and it’s still excellent, that says a ton about the quality. They have good happy hour specials too. During the nicer season, I highly recommend the patio. Great for a date night or special celebration, or if you just want some really good food. The sauteed kale kills it! Olive oil, garlic, balsamic glaze. .. And that’s just a side item! I’m just pleased every time we go, weather we are spending $ 300 or $ 30.

Wow! What can I say about The Parthenon Grille? The exterior from S. Church Street is not spectacular. Actually, must would probably say, «I am not going there.» DONOT let this deter you from going inside and enjoying a meal. The exterior from the back is very inviting with a very nice seating area outside for the nicer days and evenings. The have an upscale inviting bar area with a great bourbon and whiskey selection. One of the better ones in Murfreesboro. Now the food. My wife and I went for a date night. This is a great date place. We were not very hungry that evening so we went with appetizer and salads. We had the fried pita and dip app. It was very flavorful. You could tell it was made with fresh ingredients. The salads were also fresh. We had a night cap from the bar. My wife had one of their specialty drinks and I had a 7 and 7. They were both very good. The bartender was very friendly and made some good drink with health pours. We have heard a lot of good things about the other items on their menu especially the steaks. We WILL be back to try other dishes.

We stopped at the Americas Best Value motel(right next door) for the night. That wasn’t the best, but we walked over to the Parthenon Grill for dinner. The bar area looked great. Nice tall ceilings, large bar, lots of raised 2-tops, etc. There was some outdoor seating as well. I had the lamb chops, buttered noodles, and Caesar salad. The portion size for the chops was very good. Great quality. On the downsize, there was a flickering light in the ceiling that was blamed on the dimmer switch. They need to either replace the light and/or the dimmer. The cosmo I got from the bar was good, but $ 11.25 seemed kind of high even for top-shelf vodka. The big downside is that it down by the interstate and out of the way. It is way out of place between a used-car dealer and a low-end motel.

Loved this place! I had the prime rib and it was to die for! Atmosphere was wonderful. We did not sit at the bar but looked very cool. Staff was amazing too.

The Parthenon Dip was fantastic! The Gyros Plates were equally as good. Service was fast, and the waitress was very friendly and offered us to-go cups, which was very appreciated since we were traveling.

Stopped by for dinner as we were retuning to town. Service is average but it is Mother’s Day. It’s good to sit at the bar so you wouldn’t have to wait for seating. After my wait — my chicken was over cooked so I had to wait on on other one but my wife enjoyed her dish. I finally got my dish again and it was really juicy but flavorless. I will try it again with there regular menu because they had some really good drink specials. Before we left service really picked up and was a lot better. Just know if you get a baked potato and if they ask if you want it loaded you will pay $.25 for every him they add & it will be in a small ketchup container.

Calimari was WAY over cooked and didn’t come with lemon… We would have asked s lemon if our server had come back before we decided to stop eating it. The portion size was great, but the sauce tastes like it came from a can and there wasn’t nearly enough if we had wanted to eat the whole thing. Cocktails were really good… But a little overpriced for M’boro. Salmon was over cooked(well done). And the scallops from my date’s dish were(oddly) not seared but still over cooked as well. The sauce was nice though. This place needs to retrain the cooks on properly cooked seafood… They have a great steak selection so it would be interesting to see how those come out.

Been here a few times. Service is wonderful, timely and uninterrupting! Very knowledgable in unbiased food selection and complimenting wine! Environment is clean, relaxing and quiet enough to hear conversation. Terrific selection on the menu! I had steak with baked potato and salad. Portions were of reasonable size, but more important, was loaded with an explosion of flavor! Every single bite was well-balanced with seasoning. Salad was fresh and crisp with dressing on the side. Bread served upon arrival with olive oil. We requested additional balsamic vinegar which came with grass-like seasonings which tasted wonderful. A shared(big enough for 2) dessert of cheesecake was impeccable! I would have loved to top it with a slightly warmed shot of Chambord Liquor… But I forgot to ask! Overall– it’s a couple’s ideal romantic escape for a delightful shared experience! Enjoy!

I have visited the Parthenon Grille at least twenty times during the last two years. I consider it the best non-chain restaurant in Murfreesboro and the surrounding area and, without exception, it is my favorite. I have never been disappointed in any capacity. Dinner can get expensive(a relative term I guess). On New Years Eve, I took my family(two adults and two children). The total bill with tip was $ 141(no alcoholic drinks, three adult entrees, one child entrée and two deserts). On New Years Eve they presented a limited menu. Once again, the food was fantastic and in my opinion, worth every penny. The limited menu was clearly marked up compared to the regular menu. Just keep in mind, the regular menu is not inexpensive by any means. But– you get what you pay for. The steaks in this place are out of this world as are any of the seafood pasta dishes. All my experiences with service at the Parthenon Grille have been exceptional. On New Years Eve we had Katie, a college student, who was the absolute best server I had in 2014. The atmosphere is great as is the décor. Parking is not an issue at all and the location is accessible(about 2 minutes off I-24). Acceptable dress code at the Parthenon Grille is casual to dress. Laid back. Coupon use at the Parthenon Grille can be hit or miss in my experience. On New Years Eve, they did not accept my Unilocal coupon(for checking in). Another time, they did not honor a discount card for some reason. Not a deal breaker for me by any means, I keep going back.

Amazing food! Loved the laid back atmosphere. We both had the Belgium waffles. I had sausage on the side an a fruit cup. All was delicious! He had scrambled eggs with cheese and fried chicken on the side. Chicken was flavorful and juicy. Eggs were seasoned well and flaky. Drinks were great! I had a melon champagne mix and he had orange juice. Both good, but the $ 2 mimosas are still my favorite!

I dropped in for a bite while in the area on business. I didn’t get crazy, I had the burger and beer-battered fries. The food was a solid B. It was good, not great, yet not average. If I could bump my ‘star grade’ to 4.5, I would, as the service for this restaurant was solid.

Came over here on a Sunday for the brunch. $ 2 mimosas. Can’t beat that. The brunch menu offers the usual items for brunch: omelettes, waffles, etc. It’s usually a pricey place, but most of the menu items were under $ 12 for lunch. The home friends were especially tasty. They’re not the oily, soft, or mushy red potatoes tossed with herbs. They were crisp, delicious little russet potato squares. Parking wasn’t an issue(we were there around 11:30am), but it started to pick up pace when we were leaving.

We drove by this place on 3rd of July, thinking this will be an excellent choice for a romantic dinner… WRONG!!! Décor was very classy and upscale. Once we got inside, we stood around like idiots before anyone acknowledged us. The girl from the bar had to go out of her way and serve as the hostess in order to seat us. Then we requested to be seated on the front porch. The bartender girl said that there was no table, and she would move one over for us. So she left us standing in the middle of the dining room and walked away, thinking that this was not her job. Meanwhile the real hostess girl was no where to be found. So once again, we stood in the middle of the dining room like idiots, not knowing what we should do. So we went back to the lobby and sat down. Once our table was ready, the hostess girl came and seated us. First we started looking at the menu, the waiter came and took our drinks. Recommended the Greek chicken soup. Wife ordered the lamb chops, since that was the waiter’s recommendation. He also recommended the scallops and Shrimp pasta(not sure why he recommended Italian pasta to me in a Greek restaurant). I also wanted the calamari as appetizer. The appetiser came in with the batter still wet. Octopus was not cooked all the way. Most importantly, it was raw octopus mixed with raw batter. So they took the dish back. At this point, we are starting to get afraid about our dinner in general. Then the Greek Lemon Chicken soup came. The spices are alright, but the chicken tasted like its been around for 2 – 3 days. It was overly sour for my taste. Certainly didn’t taste Greek to me. Finally the Lamb Chops came in with French Fries. I must say the best thing all night were the fries… deliciously heavenly. Lamb chops were so-so. Once again super sour. I think they believe anything Greek should be soaked in lemon. My Shrimp and Scallops pasta was not cooked evenly. Some scallops were cooked on one side, some were not cooked, and only the top side was leukwarm. The bottom side was raw. Pasta tasted like some amateur kid threw the plate together, bland, no taste, not sure what the point is that the dish is trying to convey. I took two bites and stopped. I finished off the wife’s lamb and fries. What a disappointment. Now I understand why they have no customers on the 3rd of July. Waiter did apologize and did not charge us for the dinner. But I walked out of this fancy restaurant still feeling hungry. What a terrible experience. I left him a big tip because I felt bad for him. The restaurant was totally not worth it. the lamb chops would have costed us $ 27. Pasta would have costed us $ 21. Calamari would have costed us $ 8. Honestly, I would not pay money to eat there again. However, the service was good. I wish they can just stick to traditional Greek dishes. I do not understand why they changed to semi-Italian, semi-American, and half-ass steak house, yet failed miserably at all attempts. DONOTGOTHERE!!!
