Drove over two hours to try out Deezie’s. Looking back it was not a great decision… First of all, the workers were very kind and professional… The place was very clean… all positives. But when you get to the food, well they just drop the ball completely… In one word… SALTY… EVERYTHINGWASSALTY… the fries… the chicken and the fish… all salty… the cole slaw is commercially made… they no longer offer breast quarters or leg quarters… yet their website menu includes both… time to upgrade the website. I ordered the whole wings… they were tiny… really small… very disappointed. The fish was indeed USA catfish… but the salty over breading made it almost inedible. My wife and I were sorely disappointed… we will not return.

I normally go to Hattie B’s for hot chicken, but this place is also good in my book. I really enjoyed the potatoe salad. Will be back.

I’m glad hot chicken finally made it to the boro but Deezies decision to go strictly with wings does the tradition of «Nashville Hot Chicken» a disservice. Everyone knows(or should) that proper hot chicken is served as leg or breast quarters. Otherwise you’re only just another wing place, aren’t you? It’s good stuff, especially for the brave, but ask for the quarter chicken, maybe they’ll bring it back.

Best hot chicken around and that includes Nashville. The owner was extremely nice and attentive. Yes, there is a bit of a wait but it’s worth the wait because the food is HOT and fresh! This is another go to eatery for our family. Be careful about the spice. Medium has a great sting so if you’re looking for truly spicy chicken… have at it. The wings are tastier than the chicken tenders but I would gladly eat either/or. The mac and cheese is creamy and perfect. I’ll take this over Hattie B’s any day of the week.

Wow! They have gone downhill. Not a full service chicken joint. They only sell wings and tenders. They took real fried chicken off the menu. Hattie Bs for me!

Beware, this chicken is HOT, no joke! I was guzzling milk while eating what was supposed to be Medium! I took a couple of stars off because I was very disappointed in the bacon cheese fries, which turned out to be very greasy and soggy! I ended up throwing them away. :-(

I’m from Southern California and use to eating Roscoes in LA and this place definitely gives them a run for their money. This is the best chicken I’ve had! I don’t even like spicy things and I tolerated my heart burn and ate it anyways. Not only is the staff friendly and sociable, but the food is AMAZING! I ate here twice while visiting in 1 week. My favorite is the chicken salad and the chicken and waffles. The spicy fired chicken is so crunchy and it did not upset my sensitive stomach. I love this place!!!

I rate my hot chicken experiences on 5 factors: Spiciness: +1 Services: +1 Taste: +1 Environment: +1 Sides: +1 +If you choose to Salute the Chicken then get ready for a world of hot! The spice level here is perfect and the best thing I like about it is that the leftover doesn’t have a funny curry smell later. +Service here is always quick and friendly. I always order carry out here and before they send me off, they always check my order with me first and ask me if I need any condiments or extra napkins. +The chicken taste so mouthwatering and tender. I always get the chicken tender pieces and fries. The spice taste great with it! +The place was a little hard to find but once you found it, it is great. Plenty of parking, music to listen to, plenty of sits, and if you want something to cool you off from the hot chicken, there is a ice cream store right next door! +The sides also taste great! They give you plenty of sides. I am a quantity man and it is a hefty amount to go with the chicken.

I love Nashville style hot chicken. Every time I’m in Nashville I have to go to Bolton’s and get the chicken on a stick– HOT. Living 80+ miles from Nashville and having to go across town to get to Bolton’s, it is a rare treat. Yesterday a friend and I heard about a new hot chicken joint in Murfreesboro. We found it online and went by there to give them a try. They are located in a strip mall just off Thompson Lane in front of Ashley Furniture and HH Gregg. I honestly had very low expectations considering the location and the franchise-like atmosphere of the place. I ordered six piece chicken tenders and macaroni & cheese. The food was ready in about 7 minutes and was freshly cooked and still steaming. The chicken tenders were juicy and tender with a crunchy crust and were not greasy. They were close to perfect. Some foods make a good first impression but the more I eat the less I like about it. These tenders were the exact opposite: they started out good and got better as I ate more. I ordered«HOT» and at first I thought they were a bit tame, but the hot on these tenders creeps up on you. I’m not a fan of hot foods simply for the sake of being hot. The heat in good hot and spicy food enhances the flavor and works with it to create an experience. These tenders were a great eating experience. I’ll be back. Maybe this afternoon. Oh, the Mac and cheese was also good.

Nashville hot chicken in Murfreesboro, how could I give this anything less then 5 stars. So crunchy and spicy and delicious, the Mac and cheese was great, the potato salad was surprisingly spicy so it didn’t have the normal effect of helping to cool down the heat of the chicken it actually enhanced the heat and if your a lover of spicy food it can be a nice surprise! But they are located right next to an ice cream shop soooo after you stuff your face and your lips are on fire relief is literally next door! Go eat deezys we need this in the boro. Also call in your order, the menu is short so it’s not to hard to know what your getting and this will save you soooo much time when you get there because they make EVERY order fresh.

Delicious. And a little tip: the medium is pretty spicy so if you order hot be prepared!

Deezie’s was off the cheezy!!! LOLOLOL Seriously, this was my first experience with hot chicken out of the bajillion times I’ve been to Nashville-Metro Area. It was super hot. I mean, my nose was running. Also, the chicken wasn’t «wet» on the outside but it was very moist if that makes sense. I had chicken tenders and I added a side of potato salad and macaroni & cheese. I had to try them both. I think you can pick your spice. I believe my total was about $ 10.00 I can’t recall but it was a decent price. The dine-in section is super small and kind of squeezed next to the wall. They have some really cool decorations in there though. My friend and I got a table in the back near the TV. The chicken came on a thick piece of texas toast white bread or «lite bread» as some people say. The macaroni was ok but the potato salad was very good. The chicken was sooooo spicy but sooooo good. Especially with the ranch dressing. I can’t believe I’ve never had«Nashville hot chicken» We didn’t wait too long either and it was a Sunday. I will say the chicken was cooked fresh to order so if you’re in a rush, maybe you should call ahead. I will be back Deezie!!!

By far the best hot chicken in Murfreesboro. Got the chicken and waffles and turned out delicious. Got the hot tenders and were really good. Next time I think I’ll get medium instead of hot. I strongly suggest that you call in the order and not be a walk in. Everything is made to order so it does take some time. Staff was really friendly

I’m moving Deezie’s from 4 to 5 stars! We ate there for a second time, just 4 days after our first visit there. I had the leg quarter, medium spice, again and it was just as tender, juicy, flavorful and delightfully spicy as the first time. I had mac and cheese for a side, and it was so good it made me want to cry — thus the addition of another star. I’ve had hot chicken from several places in Nashville, but I’m throwing down the gauntlet now and saying Deezie’s is the best!

Deezies does it right ! I was visiting some friends from out of town and really wanted to try Deezies cause I love hot chicken. We went on a Saturday afternoon there was no wait and plenty of seating. I ordered a quarter leg of hot chicken and baked beans * The baked beans were recommended to me by the waitress. The food came out about 10 min after ordering it and it was delicious. The chicken was very moist and the heat was perfect. The baked beans were some of the best baked beans I have ever had. Everyone that I was with loved the food and it was a big hit. The restaurant was very nice and clean. The service was super friendly and made you feel at home. I will be coming back very soon!

Now I’m far from a Hot Chicken Guru but being a fried chicken snob, this to me tastes and feels like the real deal. Absolutely delicious, crunchy & savory but not too greasy all sitting on a humble slice of white bread. Ahhh. Life is good ya’ll.Life is Good !!!

40 minutes for a dine in order while giving preference to take out!!! Are you kidding me!!! I don’t care what the food tastes like at this point — I want out of this cramped space! Get me to a place that cares about ALL of their customers! UPDATE: Got our food — not worth the time or money. My order was completely wrong and my husband’s was both cold and soggy. Cold mac and cheese. Cold and soggy waffle. Super greasy and mushy chicken without good flavor. And his chicken was fried. Yeah, no. Never again. And their«fruit tea» is Hawaiian Punch and sweet tea. Not good. I wasn’t a diabetic when I came in, but I might be now.

So I made my way to Murfreesboro for lunch and decided to check-in on Deezies and see if there has been any improvement. Like I suggested in my original review I ordered ahead. I was quoted about 25mins(with hesitation) I showed up in 30mins. By the time I actually received my order it was 50mins from the time I phoned until the time I received it. I don’t think theres an issue with the food. It was still delicious. The customer service was fine. They apologized over and over again for the long wait. My main reasons for bumping this down from a 4 to a 3 is because of the timing… that and they forgot my Mac and Cheese. I’m hoping they get their timing to be a bit more consistent. Hopefully next time will be better. I was just so excited to finally get my food I just checked for the waffles and chicken. I didn’t even notice they left out my Mac and Cheese. Still the best chicken in Murfreesboro though.

Nashville is famous for hot chicken and this is good hot chicken. Deezie’s is a small, counter-service place with just five or six or tables. The menu includes fried or grilled hot chicken, wings, boneless wings, salads, fries, mac & cheese, etc. It’s not extensive but its everything you need in a hot chicken joint. You can order your chicken in a variety of heat levels from mild to crazy hot. Today is only their second day in business. My wife and I decided to try it for lunch. The place was busy as you’d expect. I ordered a small side salad and a 3-pc whole wings, hot. My wife ordered a 3-pc whole wings, medium heat, bacon cheese fries, and a dinner sized salad with grilled boneless wings, also medium heat. Both the fried and grilled chicken was delicious. The medium-heat was pretty hot. The«hot» chicken was a little hotter. Either of them is hot enough for me. I won’t need to try the next heat level. Got a good mouth burn but wasn’t sweating or anything. The salads were better than I expected. Good green lettuce and fresh. And because of my diet I had to ask them to leave off certain ingredients and they got the salad exactly right. The side salad is very small though. The reasons I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 are: 1. Took 40 minutes from the time we ordered until we had our food. This is too long for a counter-service place. I’ll chock this up to them only being open since yesterday. 2. We ordered two orders of the 3-pc whole wings. We received one order of the 3-pc whole wings and one order of the 3-pc boneless wings. Not a big deal, the boneless wings were good, but it’s not what we ordered. Again, I’ll attribute this to start-up issues. 3. The fries were below ordinary. Even covered in bacon and cheese they were only sort of ok. I won’t order them again. That said, the chicken here is VERY good and hot enough for me! I’ll be trying them again real soon and will report back on their progress over time.
