My significant other and I love this place. Always get the manicotti, veal, or gyro. They are fantastic. Price is good and I can usually never finish what’s on the plate. Wait staff can be sub par, but the owner is very friendly.

It has become a tradition for our family to visit here a certain date annually. Not impressed this last time. Service is normally great but server was overheard«complaining» to every table as to how long she had been there that day. That is kind of to be expected in that industry– especially on holidays and weekends. Food didn’t seem to taste as good this time either. Wondered if maybe they had made certain things ahead of time in bulk and then froze them for busier days?

Ok, this bunch has the best pizza in town! There Gyros are real good, I wish they used tabouli on them and they would be perfect! Good eats here and prices are low, if you can get past the desert case you have great will power!

Being part Italian and a self-certified pasta snob, I won’t be toooo harsh. I ordered delivery at work simply for the convenience and low price tag. All I can really say was that it was very bland. I get that it is essentially Italian fast food, but there were no discernible seasonings or herbs in any of the sauces. The marinara was red and watery, and simply tasted like pureed tomato. The Alfredo I believe was housemade, but had the thick pasty taste of way too much flour… perhaps from a too generous hand. There was not a black speck of pepper or seasoning in the sauce to be seen. My grilled chicken was good. 2 stars simply for the convenience and quick delivery time.

Really Amazing place and food. The owner came out and checked on us for than twice even when the resteraunt was busy. He and the staff made us feel very welcome and like we were part of the family. I’m I’m huge ravioli fan and I’m my opinion this place has better ravioli than cheesecake factory.

The Cheesecake was awesome! Every bit worth the $ 6. speaking from a college student budget. I had the blackberry glazed slice. I went on a Saturday afternoon the service was good and the food arrived fast before i could finish my salad. I the pork Marsalis pasta. It was delicious and rich. We also ordered the house calzone which was a good size. I really enjoyed my visit. A good place to go for an authentic Italian experience in Murfreesboro! Definitely going back probably on during the work when they are running specials.

I visited this restaurant a while back when having a craving for spaghetti and meatballs. I was not impressed with my dish. The noodles were way too soft for me, almost to the point they were disintegrating. I also didn’t much care for the sauce. However, there were other things on the menu I will be back to try. Why I’m giving this 4 stars is the cannoli! They were fantastic, in my opinion. Though I do ask for no chocolate drizzle. it, for me detracts from the cannoli which is great on it’s own. I have actually been back multiple times to get more of them to take home for family desserts after a home cooked meal.

Sometimes consistency is the answer and we have always received that here. Food quality and service is good. Great for lunch or a quick bite. Understand that it’s cuisine is Italian but with a Greek flair but overall good… priced fairly.

My wife and I have been several times and are always amazed at not only how good the food is, but also how much you get. The free bread and marinara that you start off with is phenomenal! We usually order an appetizer of fried zucchini which is out of this world. By that point a sane person would normally stop eating, but the food is so good we then order an entrée. I usually agonize over the menu for a few minutes due to page after page of tantalizing choices. I usually try something different on every visit and am always blown away. If one is foolish enough to even dare go for a dessert after taking in the portions served here, you will not be disappointed! Lastly, the service is great and we’ve never been where we did not have a visit from the manager. He is a hoot and always makes sure everything is perfect.

Unless you’re in the mood for an argument, stay away… My wife and I have eaten here 4 times. The first time was good and the rest were disasters. The 2nd time we got take out and the ingredients in the order were completely screwed up. On a dish that the menu said would contain sausage, onions, and green peppers I asked for no green peppers. What I got was a dish full of every pepper(red, green, yellow) known to man(along with a little sausage and onions). But hey, accidents happen. So we went in person the next time and I ordered a stromboli. I had to send it back because it was burnt. The Maitre D brought it back to me to try an convince me it wasn’t burnt. It was mostly black, super crispy, and dry. It was burnt but he wanted to argue. After that it took a long time before we went back, but today we decided to try again. We ordered a stuffed pizza that(according to menu) normally contains pepperoni, sausage, ham, and bacon. We said no sausage please. When we got the pizza we thought it contained sausage because it had a ton of ground beef in it. We shook our heads, called the waitress and sent the pizza back. Sure enough a minute later out comes the Maitre D to argue with us that the pizza didn’t have sausage(just like we asked). But it did contain ingredients that we didn’t order. The Maitre D just couldn’t understand why we didn’t want a pizza that was full of a topping we didn’t order. So once again, it becomes a debate. I don’t believe the customer is always right but with this Maitre D the customer is always wrong. There is never a reason why a customer should have to accept bad food, bad service, or incorrect orders. But far worse than all of that, the customer should never be forced to justify why they don’t want bad food and/or incorrect orders. My family and I eat out at a lot of local restaurants in Murfreesboro and Smyrna and this is the only place where we’ve had to put up with this nonsense. Well, never again. Unless you’re in the mood for an argument, don’t go the The Gondolier.

I can’t say enough great things about this restaurant. A friend of mine said they were fairly new to the area, so my bf and I gave them a try. The food was phenomenal! They serve an awesome variety of Italian and Greek dishes. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.

The only other restaurant in town I can compare this bland food to, is Demo’s. Both extremely lacking flavor and it’s questionable as to whether or not the food came straight from the freezer. The service was terrible and I overheard the waitresses talking about how the manager flirts with them. Probably not a conversation for the dining room, perhaps the courthouse? Just my opinion. If you love bland food that only gets better by dumping salt on it, come to Gondolier!

Still one of the best all around places in Murfreesboro. Tonight we were with a huge group of students for their 8th grade formal and used the banquet room. The food came out amazingly fast for such a large group, and everything was spot on. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, and the desserts are not to be missed!

The worst Chicken Parm sandwich I’ve ever eaten. Chicken was dry. The bread was very soggy from too much sauce & served with cold French fries.
