Pizza was pretty good… A little under cooked in my opinion, but good… Prices seemed average…

The best pizza in Murfreesboro! Authentically New York style pizza. My husband is from New Jersey and has always missed the pizza he had access to up North. After eating at Sal’s he won’t even consider eating pizza from anywhere else here. Buffet is reasonably priced and has great options.

Sal’s is definitely the best pizza in town. I used to go to Sal’s when it was on Church Street and was disappointed when it closed down. When it came back, I tried it again in the new location and there was no change in the quality of the pizza. It’s still great!

Great family run old fashioned restaurant. Real Italians behind the counter. Good value for buffet. Pizza would have scored 4 stars hartley cooked it long enough and been a bit more generous with toppings. Has the ability to be better if you ask them to cook it longer, this doesn’t unfortunately work with buffet. Still good.

Always great, always authentic Love me some SAL’s! As close to actual NYC pizza as you can get without the plane ticket. Seriously worth braving the Thompson Lane and Memorial intersection.

Sals pizza is very exceptional. The family that runs it really cares about their food and I feel like a member of a big Italian family. I always go on friday for the buffet with calamari. It is some of the best I have ever had, which doesnt say much but its still cooked perfectly. A variety of choices. They offer an mtsu discount too.

I moved to TN from Philly 7 years ago, and have struggled to find pizza/Italian food that is on the same level as Philly/NJ/NY. SAL’S ISIT! The Alfredo sauce tastes just like a Mom n Pop shop in South Philly, the pizza is incredible and everyone that works there is so nice! Bravo Sal’s! Highly recommend!

I stopped in at Sals today for lunch and couldn’t have been more impressed. Rosa greeted me promptly at the door with an amazing smile and upbeat attitude. She told me about the wonderful buffet they had for lunch and didn’t even have to up sell me because it was all laid out so nicely. Everything had the most perfect touch to it. The salads were cleanly put out with multiple toppings including real bacon bits. Then, the bread was delicately brushed with a light oil and one had a homemade pesto on top. The pasta selections were amazing and I even made my own spaghetti with their fresh tomatoes sauce. The slices of pizza were huge and the strombolis were stuffed to the max. The staff here is not only great and friendly, but the atmosphere was comfortable and clean and I will definitely be back. :)

I have been going to Sals for years in Nashville and was glad when they opened one in the boro. It is by far the best in town and very authentic. Old Chicago is garbage IMHO compared to Sals.

Being from Chicago and my parents owning their own pizza place, I have been on quite a search in the boro. Even though it’s not chicago style(very few places can even do it in chicago), we were very pleased with this pizza. The sauce and pizza dough was good. That can really make or break the pizza. We were skeptical even with good reviews. My son even loved it. The staff is also friendly.

Great service, good food, clean & bright shop — Sal’s was a good find. Tried the veggie pizza. Ingredients were fresh! You could taste quality mozzarella and the traditional hand tossed crust was perfect. Definitely recommend Sal’s!

We ordered out a large Pizza Bianca and it was excellent. As a former New Yorker, I have a hard time finding pizza that lives up to my expectations, and Sal’s does just that. The crust was great and the cheese was plentiful. We will recommend it to friends and we will be back! Can’t wait to try the lunch buffet so we can sample the whole range of tastes at Sal’s!

The best pizza I’ve had in a while. The lunch buffet had some great pizza choices and pasta dishes. That double meat/double crust pizza is awesome. The staff there is really nice. Forget that pizza buffet place that serves fake microwave pizza. Go to Sal’s and eat some real pizza. I just left Sal’s. Before going I said after this I would be getting off of bread for a while. Problem is now I want to go back… Today!

Sal’s made all my hopes and dreams come true. They are rocking authentic NY style pizza and are only 15 minutes away. If I’m going to eat pizza, I like big, thin slices of cheese, and I’d previously found nowhere in Murfreesboro with pizza even close to that style or taste. For any fans of Joey’s previously in Brentwood and now in Nashville, this is very similar. We’ve eaten there twice in a week and ordered cheese pizzas both times, so I can’t comment on the rest of the menu, but the pizzas we’ve had were amazing and didn’t last long. They have very friendly service and are reasonably priced. My husband would eat pizza every day if he could, so I know Sal’s will become a regular part of our in-town repertoire.

So many different selections of pasta, pizza, and desserts! They even has mussels which to my delight was tasteful! The slices of pizza are big and the pizza sauce taste so fresh and delicious. I like that they even have veggie pizza because I don’t like too much meat on my pizza. Try all the desserts too! Cannolis are too sweet for me but still delicious! Place is clean and casual decorating.

This place is great! The buffet changes daily and offers everything from pizza, to pasta, to calamari, to banana pudding! They sometimes have lemon cake that’s SOOO good! I love the fettuccine alfredo and the calamari is always nice and flaky-crispy. To be honest, I’ve never tried the pizza. Haha Beware, the tiramisu is SIXDOLLARS… so maybe skip that. Also, the first time I went for the buffet they gave me a student discount of 10%. The 2nd time I went, they said they don’t do that. ?? Odd.

As a former New Yorker and Long Islander who has been away for over 20 years, I was simply blown away by Sal’s. Without question, the best Pizza and Calzones in the state. These guys are the real deal, from Brooklyn NY, and know how to cook. As long as this place is open, I will never eat any of the other brands so called pizza. Their other dishes are just as good and their cannolis are fantastic. Stop eating the other junk Pizza and try Sal’s.
