This is a small town café and brings back many good memories doe to atmosphere and good old country settings. Everybody knows everybody. Expect country cooking and treatment. I love it here and will definitely be back.

I had breakfast at the Murfreesboro location on Saturday morning with a group of 6 hungry guys. I only wish I knew that very patient waitress’s name. She had a wonderful attitude and made sure we were all happy with our service and the wonderful food. I had a «Mid-western» omelet, that is a western omelet without bell peppers,(ACK! I don’t like to write that word much less eat them!) to each his own. Anyway the lady never broke stride, and provided our group attentive service with lots of KAFFEE! A great place I will be back! Thank you for coming to the ‘Boro

Love this place! Food is always good(reminds me of my grandmothers meals after church). If you get a chance to go try to sit in Mickey’s section. She is really sweet and will make sure you enjoy your visit

I’ve eaten lunch here twice within a week. Both times the food was excellent and the service polite and prompt. The desserts are terrific. The chess pie is some of the best I have had. As for the banana pudding, if I wasn’t already married I would marry it.

I really enjoyed this little place! Service was fantastic, and I don’t usually take a chance on fried chicken(I’d rather make it myself)…but I was feeling lucky. The chicken was awesome! Tried the chess pie afterwards, and it was WAY too sweet. Couldn’t finish more than a couple bites. Maybe take it easy on the sugar.

Ate lunch here today — fried chicken, turnip greens, squash casserole and cole slaw. Overall, an awesome lunch. Fried Chicken– Some of the best I’ve had. Perfectly seasoned, crispy and not greasy. Squash Casserole– Good but not great. Needs something crunchy on top like crumbled ritz crackers. Greens — Good but could have used some ham or bacon to add a little smokiness and flavor. Also they said they are going to start serving catfish and seafood. Will review and post!

Sylvan Park is a meat and three restaurant that has been a long time favorite for many in Nashville. This place is packed for lunch and they are already talking about opening a second location in the Boro. The owner is very nice and she even gave me a free slice of chocolate pie for having to wait a little longer than normal for my to go order. If you go during lunch time be prepared to wait but it will be worth it.
