Gave it two stars because the food was hot and ready when I arrived to pick up. Other than that it was a meal to forget.
Had Mapo Tofu — possibly worst one ever. No peppercorns. No heat. No flavor. Poor tofu.
Hunan Chicken — was tasteless. Having been to Hunan it is embarrassing to name the dish after the province.
Broccoli with garlic sauce — broccoli was cooked quite well as were the other veggies but the sauce had no flavor.
Overall not a good choice for Chinese… need to keep searching!

Grabbed some takeout on Christmas Day. Kung Po shrimp combo, with hot&sour soup. Egg roll was good and we fed four people for right around $ 30. Friendly folks behind the counter and got us out quickly, although it was obvious the food was being made to order.

I gave this place a shot since the reviews CLAIMED this place was good! To be honest it’s disgusting! Their food has no flavor! My sesame seed chicken was soggy! && I ordered magolian beef and what ever it was the gave me was not magolian beef! All I have to say is don’t trust these reviews saying this place is good because it’s not!

I would give this a zero star if allowed. My husband and I are new to town and wanted to try some Chinese. This place had great reviews so we gave it a shot. The food was burnt tasting and disgusting. The egg drop soup also had a nasty burnt taste! The fried rice is like nothing I’ve ever tasted and was gross! I will never eat here again!

The reviews are right on. Their food is both good and cheap. The orange chicken is excellent, as is the shrimp with lobster sauce. They have bottled drinks that they offer for under a dollar.

This is the best Chinese place in town! Not only is the food really good but it’s cheap and you’re served quickly.

Best Chinese food anywhere. I’ve been coming here for 20 years. Well worth the drive across town.
The beef in the beef and broccoli is always very tender. Wonton soup is the best! Everything is great. About five, ten minutes, OK?

Food was beyond delicious and it arrived faster than a fast food drive up! Very surprised! Vegetarian friendly too.

I’ve been coming here for 12 years and they have been serving consistently great food. The menu is standard Chinese take-​out. I love the General Tso’s chicken here. It’s always crisp with a perfectly balanced sauce. The shrimp items are my second favorite. I’ve never had any of the beef or tofu dishes but my dinner companions seem to enjoy them very much.

Great food. I have not tried everything on the menu but what I have tried it has been fantastic. Best anywhere around the area. Keep going back and it great every time. No short cuts here

Very good chinese restaraunt! It seems they actually put some effort into the fried rice, it’s not the yellow bagged garbage you get from most stores. The sesame chicken is perfectly crispy and coated at the same time. Egg roll is probably the best in town, and the prices are the best I’ve seen in a while.
I’m glad this place is right across the street from work!

Taste of China and Far East were the very first «Chinese» restaurants in the ‘Boro. It’s a mom and pop joint that has The Best «Chinese» food in this town. I’ve been going for years and remember watching their (now grown) little ones bring me some extra Dumpling Sauce for my egg rolls.
Sure, Taste of China offers many of the same dishes found in the ubiquitous «Chinese» joint these days, but lots of their menu items do differ in some very yummy ways!
Let’s talk about the Pork Fried Rice. It’s the Best. Anywhere. It’s full of chucks of pork and veggies, and also comes standard with many dishes.
Their Hot & Sour Soup is loaded with all kinds of goodies, is absolutely bursting with flavor. It’s unlike any I’ve had anywhere else and blows them all away.
I have to mention the Fried Chicken Wings… Oh wow! Not like the Colonel makes ‘em. And there is definitely no sauce on them. They flavor them with some kind of magical Asian seasoning that makes me love them. Same goes for the Steak on a Stick (I think they renamed it Teriyaki)…so delicious, especially with a little dab of hot mustard. Oh, and the General Tso’s Shrimp is crazy good. I could keep going…
I wish I lived next door to Taste of China!

This is my favorite «fast food» Chinese in Murfreesboro; there are really no authentic Chinese restaurants in the area. We’ve been going here since we grew up, and the owners are really great people. Food is always prepared FRESH and FAST. We love the Chicken with Garlic Sauce, General Tso’s Chicken, Steamed Dumplings, Shrimp with Curry Sauce, and pretty much everything else we’ve had!

It’s standard fast food Chinese but I have no complaints. Very good.
