Holiday Inn Express & Suites Murphy

We have been traveling from homestead through north South Carolina and Tennessee and Mississippi we stayed in 3 different holiday inn express we are wonderfully exhausted this chain made us so
Impressed. Clean comfy reasonably priced great beds We met the nicest people on this trip and everyone at the holiday inn express was sweet caring and I can say the only place we will be staying on this trip for me in the future

I was visiting friends in the area for the weekend, I am a Platinum IHG member and was happy to find a Holiday Inn Express in Murphy. The ladies at the front desk were extremely friendly and professional. The room was clean and comfortable. I don’t eat breakfast but the morning coffee was very good. I would defiantly recommend staying at this location.

My wife and I can up for a long weekend to visit the new casino and just relax. Hotel was spotless, friendly staff, and close to most of the major attractions in the area. Only complaint are the sheets and comforter. They could use replacement.

Stayed here Christmas holiday due to family house being very crowded. I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is newly renovated and really shows it. The lobby is basic but very neat and clean, the staff that we interacted with during the short stay was very friendly. The breakfast area was very clean and open with two gas fireplaces and 2 large flat screens. The breakfast provided is what you would expext from a continental breakfast, but tbey stayed on top of keeping it stocked and hot. The indoor heated pool is open year round and the workout room was also nice, but small. The room was very basic but clean, the king size bed we had was quite comfy. The bathroom was basic but clean. Only thing that made it a 4 out of 5 is the smell of the room was very musty when we entered. We adjusted the AC unit and sprayed some febreeze to eliminate the smell which worked. Overall a very nice stay. There was probably a total of 5 cars in the parking lot and it seemed like they seperated all of us to different parts of the hotel which was also a nice touch. I would definetly stay here again. Also a bonus is it is only 5 miles from new casino.

Was working in Fanin GA for a week. Due to limited options I had to stay 30 minutes away in Murphy. Check-​in was a little slow — However, I was greeted as a Platinum member and received bonus points. This property is unique for a HIE — very odd set-​up. Not much to do in the area — you can drive downtown for a few restaurants and bars. Hotel was old and could use some updating — Beds were not comfy and cleanliness was iffy at best. Pretty basic — the lady at the front desk was a chain smoker so if you needed her check outside lol… Not too many options in the area, so this is probably your best bet. Under $ 100 per night

We stayed there for several nights in October 2010, and had a comfortable, clean room and very good service! We would stay there again.
