I wont go into the quality of the food here, because it’s a buffet and one is the same as the next. I will describe our last(and I do mean LAST) experience there for a lunch buffet, where our ‘server’ who brought a soft drink for my husband(I had a bottle of water with me as always) was never seen again… not that he wasn’t there, it’s just he never approached our booth again the entire time we were dining. He tossed some napkins on the table, by mistake I think as it was the couple adjacent to us who had asked for some, but never took away ONESINGLE used plate. We bused the table ourselves, he never came back to offer a fill up on the soft drink and passed by our empty plates time and again, along with at least 2 other employees. We paid our tab and left zero tip as this person did zero for us. We both had GI issues after the meal, so it will be our last visit. It’s too bad, as it’s very convenient but if you don’t value your customers, you don’t deserve the business. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area.

$ 28.00 for 2 people. We have been here on many occasions, the food has always been bad, I finally had to right a review. The food is just not good. At 6pm on Saturday night there was no fresh food out, a lot of the selections were empty know one at the grill the rolls were the worst I have had in a while. This food tasted like a $ 3.00 buffet.

Has a large variety of less then mediocre food. Very likely to make you sick as it always does me. I just go when others invite me. Of everything I’ve had there, I’ve had better, the sweet tea was like syrup. The floor was less then clean, the ceiling tiles were stained. None of the chicken tasted like chicken and I didn’t feel good the rest of the day.

I’ve always enjoyed N.H.G. even when it was at its old location by ingles. Sure sometimes the buffet is a little tired, but that’s life. Overall I like coming here, the egg rolls are awesome, I sometimes wish I could smuggle a few out in my pockets. I’ll probably always be a return customer.

This place… well, it is what it is. And it’s «Chinese» located in the mountains. So like I said, it is what it is. To those hating on this establishment, if you want good Chinese, don’t stop here plain and simple! It’s Chinese in the middle of the mountains, guys. We like it alright because it’s different than everything else in the area and a quick meal on the way to our lakehouse, we don’t come here expecting great cuisine… we know what we’re paying for. So word to the wise, if you cannot support local family restaurants that are needed in the area, don’t stop there. I think the best things here are the crab salad they have on occassion and their hot veggies. Their soups aren’t bad either and I’ve tried their california rolls and classics like frog legs. All is edible and most of the food looks like what you’d expect of an Asian buffet.

Well this is an interesting one. By big city standards this place would go out of business in a week. By small town standards maybe«okay». It’s probably a case of «know your audience» but there’s actually more American food on the buffet than Chinese. While there were about 25 different food selections, it seems that they make large batches of food and then don’t replenish until it’s finally gone or morphs into something unrecognizable, whichever comes first. At any given time only about five selections seem to be fresh. Having said that I was able to get filled up by choosing carefully but probably won’t be going back.

The worst meal ever. The prepackaged sandwiches at the Big D would be better than this place. Nothing was fresh and everything was just nasty. Save your money.

Just terrible. I hate leaving a review this bad. This place by far has to be the worst food in Murphy. Save your money the only thing fresh was the lettuce on the salad bar. Everything else was old, cold and chewy. Some of the stuff could have been from lunch. There were some huge people herding in while we were there. I figured that they would start refreshing some of the items. Nope. Maybe I have higher standards for my choices of food. We gave this place its last chance. With low quality of the food, this place will be gone when the casino opens. Just absolutely disgusting. I understand that 10.95 for a meal isn’t that much however there needs to be something edible. It is really too bad. This place has a great location. The building is nice and the dining area is ample. If only they would hold themselves to a higher standard.

Good food and best selection in Murphy. Hokey 90s elevator music, staff that’s all business no personality, Sundays after church is best, good variety, owner is very kind and polite,

I have always enjoyed the food here but I think they should have a dress code. I’ve seen some of the most poorly dressed, slouchy people with no manners eating here. Nasty shoes, shoes untied, dirty clothes, cowboy hats on while eating!!! Yuk! It sickened me. If you cannot dress better, you shouldn’t be eating there. I have not been back.
