Great place to hang out with family or friends. I expected it to just be a college bar with food but it appeared to be much more of a family restaurant than I expected. The menu had a lot of choices. The cheese sticks were great and the soup of the day was pretty yummy. My friend had a pizza and loved it. I had a nice experience.

I’ve gone here multiple times, and I have yet to be impressed. I’ve tried the fish and chips(they barely give you any fries) and it was over cooked, and dry. I’ve also tried the wings which were almost as soggy as the burger I ordered and it was all just too expensive for the quality being crap. The pizza is alright though, if you like insane amounts of fetta and very slow service. The outside atmosphere is very suitable for college nightlife, so I’ll give them that!

I love to stop here and grab a quick bite to eat and a beer. The sun dried tomato hummus is to die for and they have a great selection of beers. A nice place to sit outside and take in the university life.

I thought this was a ‘hang out for the college kids’. Told my daughter ‘old people” have no business there. Was I wrong! My daughter and son in law took me for my birthday. While it was all shiny and new, very clean and ready for business, it was also packed! The servers were moving right along, taking orders, refilling drinks, bringing food. We had appetizers, drinks, and were greeted by staff. But I was blown away by the beautiful presentation of each entrée! My one daughter had a salad that was literally 12 inches in height! Each persons dish was perfectly garnished, a very personal touch. No where in Murray that I know of serves you this way. I can’t vouch for the bar, but the restaurant is high quality, my compliments to the owner and his chef! I have recommended this place many times, and it never disappoints!

Thought I would give it a try and was very suprised. Being a MSU grad, I have seen this building host at least 3 businesses. This is the best one yet. Having no referral or prior knowledge of the restaurant, my wife and I decided to stop in for dinner and have a date night at the burrito shack. When we noticed the curb appeal of the building, we changed our minds and walked across the parking lot to check out the menu. Once inside we were greeted by several friendly host. I have to admit that my jaw dropped when I stepped in the door. Having previous knowledge of the building and knowing how dirty it looked with previous owners, I asked for a menu and decided that this was our stop for the evening. I was also sold once I saw the main dining room and the number of people dining. The atmosphere and ambience combined with the décor made the restaurant very inviting and and enhanced the mood. The server gave us the drink menu and it was not lacking. I enjoy a good craft beer every now and then, but being a KY native I always eye the burbon list. It was probably the best selection in town. I ordered a traveler beer but I was disappointed to find that they were sold out of that brand so I made a selection from the domestic list instead. When we got our food I again had my expectations exceeded. Being new to the menu I decided I would try their hamburger(a safe bet). It was cooked to perfection with the perfect amount of juciness and came dressed as I ordered it. It also featured a bun that was amazing and waffle fries that had the perfect amount of crispness. My wife had a chicken blt and it looked good. Her only complaint is that it was 2 pieces of chicken instead of a chicken breast. We will return again and continue to try more menu options. Hopefully the weather will be nice next time we stop in and we have have our dinner on the patio, which has been massively overhauled as well.

Disappointing. Had the crab and corn chowder, flavor was good but it was served lukewarm. Decided on some of the appetizers as dinner, as they were the only things on the menu that really looked interesting or like anything a little different. The drunken goat sliders were served on buns that were cold and felt a bit stale, would have expected them to be nicely toasted on the cut side and soft and warm. The lobster mac and cheese was good, but kind of a skimpy portion. And the southwest eggrolls tasted like something that they bought frozen. From what I’d heard from others was expecting it to offer some more true entrée items. I suppose if they’re trying to be a more student-oriented sports bar the menu fits, was just hoping it would be more of a true restaurant. So no real reason I’d go back.

I don’t get to go back to Murray often and a buddy was excited to recommend a new place with craft beers on tap. Finally… Somewhere in Murray that supports beer worth drinking. However, this place fell quite flat. In regards to the beer, there were only about 12 on tap(isn’t Tap in your name?). Of the 12, about 1⁄3 were American domestic garbage. We did ask the owner why, with limited taps, would use waste precious craft space on garbage. His response — «well everyone here just wants to drink Bud Light.» Which then led us to ask… Then why do you have a craft bar? If that is not a shame, ALL beers are served in a tall, skinny Pilsner style glass. All of you craft enthusiasts will understand how odd and unfortunate this is. Tsk tsk Besides the craft bar wannabe disaster, the atmosphere was pitiful. We walked in on a Saturday night to no music, no tv volume either, and an assortment of bartenders that… Quite possibly… May hate all humankind. For fun, we thought we would play the jukebox and take turns coming up with random songs. Well, apparently the owner did not like any choice of music except booty dancing beats. I’m pretty sure he was only into whipping it and watching people né né. So, when a song would play he did not like… He would actually skip it! And no refund, of course. We tried to talk to him about it, but he was literally the most serious, personality-lacking, flat human beings I have ever met. For a guy that owns a bar, he seems to not like owning a bar. I can admit, I did not have a chance to try the food. Maybe what it lacks in atmosphere and craft brew, it makes up for in mediocre pizza.

A good place — I’m glad something like this is here in Murray and hope it is successful so there will be other(different) places like it. Good beer on tap; the food is pretty tasty. I think it gets kind of chaotic in the bar with the servers, but they’ll probably figure it out — my suggestion is break up the tables and cut out the against the wall seating and create a bit more space. I wasn’t expecting something this solid right off of the Murray campus.

New sports bar and restaurant in Murray. Had a good meal but service was a bit spotty. Menu is great for this type is restaurant with some really interesting sandwiches and appetizers. Had a nice crab cake sandwich and corn chowder. My wife had an Icelandic cod Reuben. Will give this a return visit soon.

My expectations were exceeded in every area. Service, quality of food, price, aesthetics, environment, professionalism… The list goes on. Can’t wait to be back. This is a great addition to Murray. The menu is very unique. You will see a few items you may not have encountered. Although some of these items are a bit exotic, you won’t pay as much as you think. Even the drinks were surprisingly cheap! By day for families or by night with the crew, Tap 216 is the place to be these days.
