Great food. I don’t go for the spicy stuff, but everything they make is great so everyone is happy.

Amazing! The flavor is great, the service is good! It’s a little hole in the wall but is perfect to satisfy your need for great Thai food. Be warned their spicy is spicy, a level 2 burned my mouth but I like spicy so i loved it!

Wonderful tasting Thai food, pleasant staff, quaint little restaurant off the main road. A large variety of stuff on the menu, good for the seasoned Thai food regular or the first timer or less adventurous eater. Looking forward to returning.

Why 4.5 stars is a big question. Personally, its 3 stars max. We ordered the tofu Pad Thai, fresh spring rolls as well as the salmon salad. The Pad thai peanut sauce was just way too sweet and so much that made the noodle dish very saucy. Sadly, it was disappointing. The salmon salad was alright nothing extra ordinary to discuss. Same is true with the peanut sauce of the fresh spring roll in terms of sweetness. It lacked the balance of peanut flavor and sweetness.

The food at Tea Rose is amazing. My husband and i haven’t tried a dish that we haven’t loved. The staff is very friendly and the service is good. As other reviewers have pointed out: they are serious about their spice levels. They are now using a scale 1 – 5(I believe they formerly used a 1 – 10 scale). I’m usually a mild to medium person, but i can’t handle above a 1. My husband, who loves heat more than anyone i know usually only gets a 3. Make sure you save room for mango sticky rice for dessert! My only criticisms are these 1. I find it hard to get something with just a little kick to it. The food goes from no spice at all to scorching(for my somewhat wimpy taste buds). 2. I’ve been disappointed when i’ve ordered from their extensive tea menu. The tea has been too watery even after i let it steep for several minutes. Despite these small criticisms, this place is one of our favorites!

I came here with my sister, and thought it was really yummy! However, the server talked me into ordering a «1» in hotness, but I really could have done a 1.5 or 2. The«1» didn’t have any heat at all, and I can handle, and like, a little heat in my Thai food. If you can handle medium salsa, you can handle more than a 1. Lots of gluten free vegetarian options :)

We came around 630PM tonight. It was busy but the two waitresses who were working were still attentive and friendly. We ordered the following: Red curry with tofu: $ 11 Spice level 2. I think we could’ve went with level 3 and it would still be good but played it safe instead since it was our first time at the place. Delicious food and perfect portion. Chicken Tom Kha $ 8, small: spice level 2. Yummy! It was very authentic and the taste was clean and delicious. Small size served 2 people well. Thai tea: we ordered this because of a recommendation of another Unilocaler and it was just as she said, best Thai tea in Utah. Rice came with the orders and it was cooked perfectly. We will definitely be back. Parking: we parked next door.

WOW! So incredible! I love Thai food and I’ve never had a bad Thai experience, but this place is a step above the rest. I can’t quite describe it, but the flavors in their dishes and the fluffiness of the rice was somehow better than anywhere else. A word of caution: these people don’t play when it comes to spice! Normally I ask for a 9 or 10 but after reading comments online, I ordered a 3… SO glad I did!!! Their 3 was so hot! It was edible and still good, but at times was pushing the boundaries of my comfort level. If you LOVE spice, go with a 3. If you don’t, ask for a half? Or a negative number? Insanely delicious though

Very unprepossessing exterior hides fabulous Thai food with a nod to diehard hamburger eaters. We had the fried wontons, with a sweet and mild sauce. They were delicious. I had the garlic beef, Candace the cashew chicken. We both opted for 0 on the spice scale. You can go from 0 – 5, with a surcharge over level 3. Service was fast, food delicious.

Small, older sister of the Chabaar restaurant, this thing is what people look for when they look for a dive, a hole in the wall slinging up awesome food. English spoken here is broken and a lot of the time, they will wind up missing changes to the food you request, but it all works to be part of the charm. Normally I wouldn’t say that about someone misfiring on an order, but here, you can forgive, since it sort of fits into the ambiance and feel and this place definitely is a cool spot. I wish I knew about it when I lived in Murray. Getting there is funky, once there, parking is funky also and I imagine this place might sit upwards of a couple dozen people or so. Brave it anyway. It’s worth it. Décor is eclectic and for once, I agree with a City Weekly award, though this one should have gotten one for food as well. If you’ve eaten at Chabaar, you’ve more or less eaten here also. A lot of the menu items are different, but there are probably more similar than different. If you want to try Thai food(particularly the Thai iced tea) in all its glory, work your way through that side of the menu. All of the flavors are there and done spectacularly. Presentation and execution could frequently use a bit of work, but the proprietors and staff are mostly well-meaning and it’s hard not to be charmed into being more forgiving. I keep meaning to try the American stuff, but when the Thai food is this good… it’s hard to break away. Other have mentioned the spice levels and definitely be aware of those. Don’t order it spicy, in fact, unless you’re in the mood for it, as the spice levels can easily overpower the food and color the experience considerably. I strongly suspect extract is coming into play here, but, again, if you want soaring capsaicin experience to sear your palate in a Thai style, you can easily do that here… though they inexplicably charge more for that. When I say you are hard pressed to find a bad Thai place, it shouldn’t be taken that you can just eat anywhere. The difference between this place and one I recently reviewed in Ogden is myriad and eating the same dish at either will immediately and irrevocably demonstrate that one knows what they’re doing and one is following along. If you hadn’t gathered it, this place(also run by Thais) is the real deal and the other one, while not bad, is as a candle to the sun in comparison.

This place was so fantastic! Best curry I’ve had since my aunt closed down her Thai restaurant years ago. We had yellow curry, massaman curry, fried tofu and chicken satay. I got a 2 level on the curry and HOLY it was spicy. But it was a delicious tolerable spicy. I wish the chicken satay was more meatier. It was super thin. Peanut sauce was perfect consistency. Tofu was perfect crispiness. I want to go back to try more!!!

I actually really like what I got from this cute little diner but I’m taking off one star because they’re not very generous with their portions like other thai restaurants. I felt like my portion was pretty sorry, and it didn’t fill me up(or maybe I’m just a fatty). Usually, I would be able to take half of my entrée home at other places that are also good. They also don’t have lunch specials. Other than that, everything was great, service was fast and water was always refilled. Maybe I would come back.

This time when I went back, I tried a 5 out of 5 spicy level, the highest on the menu. «Don’t do it» the waitress said. «You’re crazy» my friends said. «This will be hilarious» random internet strangers said. Have you ever decided it would be a good idea to pick up a burning ember of charcoal and stick it in your mouth? Because that is how hot this curry was. Real men cry sometimes right? Because I certainly shed a few tears amidst the beads of sweat streaming down my face. But real men also don’t quit, especially when internet strangers are watching you eat via livestream on Periscope. So perservere on I did until I cleaned out the bowl. Have you ever then decided it would be a fantastic idea to drop your drawers and take a sit on the biggest fire ant hill you can find? Because that’s how it feels about 3 hours later when your body decides to purge this lava curry from hell from your stomach. I can only say I did some things I’m not proud of to relieve the pain I had brought upon myself. Also, the spring rolls are delicious. Overall experience 10⁄10. Will never attempt again.

Dear Thai food, You complete me. There really just isn’t much better than Thai food. Tea Rose Diner definitely helps enforce my vision. Located on a side street off of State Street, the tiny little restaurant has big flavors and lots to choose from. I’ve been here twice now, and loved both things. Most recently, i got the safe bet massaman curry. The waitress explained the spicy chart(0 – 10, with anything over a 3 needing to be signed off by the restaurant) so I got a two expecting a mild dish. Food came out within minutes and was great! Getting a 2 was perfect. Still hot enough to bring on a sweat, but not too bad. Can’t imagine how someone would ever get a 10? I would probably be admitted to the ICU shortly after. Anyway, the food is great and the service is top notch. I would definitely recommend giving it a shot.

This is the best Thai restaurant in town hands down. And this came from an Asian. The Tom Yum was tasty, a little spicy with just enough sourness to flirt with your taste buds. Mind you if you don’t usually take hot food, order level one of the spiciness scale. We found out that level two was already pretty spicy. The Yellow Curry was good. It was as perfect as curry could be. I like that the coconut milk was not too overpowering, so I could really taste the curry and the spices better. We also ordered Phad Nuum Prik Phow — it was my first time trying this dish and oh my God, it was fabulously delicious. It was a stir fry with Thai chili sauce but gosh, there was like a burst of flavor in my mouth with every spoonfuls. I made a mental note to order this again next time. Finally we had Pad Thai which was also very good. I liked the ambience of this place. It felt homey. And the service was good too! I asked the waitress which one was her favorite curry because I wanted to order to go and she said Panang curry. In short, I really like this place and can’t wait to go here again.

Such a wonderful place. I love the food here, it is one of the best thai place ever. Love the spice level they have. I always have a number two level spice, but for those who can’t handle spicy food I would recommend a zero or a one for a little kick. The thai ice tea is the best. I always order it. The curry was fantastic and the Tom yum was always a favorite there also. The only thing that is a big of a problem is their parking. Their parking lot is a bit tight, but they always have the dance studio across the street to park at.
