First off I’ve been to Teavanas all over the country and was an online customer long before they showed up here in SLC. As they go, ours is pretty good. The good news is that the teas are wonderful and mostly the staff is very knowledgable. The downside is they can be expensive, depending on which tea you choose. Then they have a pretty hard sell on other things, more tea, containers, etc. etc. And sometimes it is annoying. But I love tea so I’ll probably keep going.

The staff is completely unaware of the customers and all too busy restocking shelves and announcing the curative powers of tea… Store is packed and there is a person on a ladder doing inventory. I ordered tea to go and I have waited 25 minutes– they can’t refund tea to go. So if you want Teavana tea– may I suggest City Creek.

Coming from Hawaii to visit family and we decided to go to fashion place mall, I was standing outside teavana for about 10 minutes waiting for my dad and I was watching people walk in and out of the store every single person was not of color and then one women tried to walk in who was of color and was asked to show her bags to the employees before she walked in… I AMINDISGUST. It is 2015 and this company is discriminating against people of color. Not a single person was asked to show their bags. The women was well dressed but the company only saw her skin color… She gladly showed the employees what was in her bag but if that had been me I would have laughed and walked out. They don’t deserve my business. Absolutely disgusted.

Poor service, I doubt I will return. We were ignored, and the store was extremely crowded. Wish they had taken time to talk with us about the different teas, and we would have spent more.

The teas here are amazing. I’ve been very happy with the consistency of quality on all the teas we have purchased. The service in the store has always been friendly and helpful. They seem to do a great job training the staff on both product knowledge and customer service. I also have a single cup infuser from the store. Although the pricing in the teas and products seems high initially the quality certainly matches up with the cost.

Excellent service and knowledge of products. I like to enjoy Chai and I appreciated the attentiveness to my individual taste without pushing all the other obvious options. Overall excellent friendly professional staff. Starbucks has Baristas, consider a title symbolic of the expertise and knowledge these Tea masters possess! Awesome!

The tea is high quality and delicious. However, I will never shop there again. I have been to Teavana 3 or 4 times and I’ve never felt«UPSOLD» more in my life. Each time I walk in, sample a few teas, and choose one I would like to purchase, I tell the Sales gal, I would like about $XX of the tea. Not once has my bill been less than double what I asked for… not exaggerating, 100% more than what I said I wanted to pay. Each time I’ve gone to Teavana, I have had to argue with the sales clerk about the price. It’s like ripping out toenails to get the clerk to put some tea back or stop telling me how I will regret buying it without some special container that costs god knows how much. These girls are going to make great sales professionals if they choose that career! I’ll stick to more honest and affordable options for all of my future tea needs.

How to review this store? First I would like to say I am an avid tea drinker. I drink tea everyday, all day. When I walked by the location in Murray, Utah and was handed a sample I thought I had hit the mother lode of tea. The store is small, but is filled with every delight a tea drinker could want; lovely teapots of all kinds, every cup, strainer, heater, spoon, and tea that you could ever want. My eyes were bugging out of my head and my mouth was watering. It was wonderful. I picked up the Kita Tumbler for my to go cup. It is amazingly beautiful, and I love it, even if it was pretty pricey. Then I went to the counter to tell them I wanted some of the tea I sampled. That is when things got really uncomfortable. The sales girl told me I had to purchase 2 ounces minimum. Ok, not too bad, I wanted an ounce of the Youthberry and an ounce of the Orange something or other that was the blend of the sample I tried. But Nooo… I had to purchase two ounces of EACH. I was a bit taken aback, and was thinking through my purchase, but the sales girl gave me no time to think. She started packing up a tin of about 8 oz of tea and insisting it was a better deal and that my containers at home were not appropriate for tea storage and on and on and on the pressure went. For someone who has not experienced this before they might just end up spending much more than they anticipated. The sales girl at the counter was EXTREMELY pushy. Much like an used car salesman or one of those flim flam guys who stops by your house to sell something you don’t need. I finally had to be a bit rude in my «NOTHANKYOU» before the girl quit pressuring me and just rang up my tumbler. I love my tumbler and would love to have bought tea, but I probably will not go back. The high pressure sales and the insistence on purchasing a 2 oz minimum turned me off. Teavana, what the heck is up with that? You drove away a customer who probably would have spent quite a bit of money in your store. I gave it 2 stars just because it was a pretty store with all sorts of wonderful items in it. For customer service and over all pressure sales I give NOSTARS.

I am addicted to Teavana! They turned me into a tea drinker. I have always been a coffee drinker never a tea drinker until I stopped in one day to their tiny and I mean tiny little store for a tea sample. Then we got sucked inside and the associate who helped us was friendly and knew her teas! They are a bit pricey but I keep going back so they must be doing something right. Love my tea tumbler best investment made from Teavana. I take my tea everywhere!

Okay, first off they have amazing tea! And some great tools for brewing and drinking the Amazing tea However it is Expensive. To get set up with a to go tumbler that has a brewing cup and a jar of tea costs alomst $ 100. Yikes! My recommendation would buy your tools elsewhere– but come here for some tea!

TEA-VANA! TEA-LISS! TEA-PPINESS! So, pretty much if you love tea then you’ll love this place. If you don’t then you won’t. It is pricey and not within my budget. So, I do love me the samples… heheheh. It is very chaotic because everybody is liking tea now so the customer service is either too enthusiastic or too neglectful. They do try to oversell a lot so it can be a turn off, but hey, they gotta do what they gotta do which is sell, sell, and sell! Along with the tea, they sell nice ceramic teapots that are perfect for making zen in a cup. They are pricey(no surprise there), but they make a great gift if you know a tea connoisseur and you want to be on their good side. Nonetheless, if you are able to buy the tea and the teapot then I guess you’ll experience nirvana.

Teavana has little sample cups of tea waiting for you to try outside of the store. Unfortunately, these sample cups also come with an annoying sales person. If the sales person sees that you are interested in the tea, or weak, they will pounce. I personally believe that Teavana is a beverage cult. The moment you finish your sample cup the sales person rushes you up to the counter and tells the cashier what sample you had, and that you are interested in it. The cashier then goes in for the kill. After making you smell ten thousand different teas, they start bagging anything that you reacted positively to. Before you know it they are asking for $ 100 for tea that you didn’t even order. Upon turning down their forced tea, they got extremely angry. The tea itself is ok, but not worth the price. I mean, why do I need to buy your silver tin!!! I will never be back to this place! Each second in Teavana felt like an MMA fight.

When I went to the mall a few weeks ago, I couldn’t help but notice the Teavana that opened in the wing right across from Sephora. Having seen someone on YouTube post a video about their teas, I was eager to try it. Well, let’s start with the cons and then move on to the pros. First of all, customer service at this store is very hit or miss. Being able to get attention from a staff member was almost impossible. I went to a few other stores after I tried for about 5 minutes, and then convinced myself to come back because I really wanted to try it. Finally, after being a little aggressive about getting attention, I was finally able to figure out the method of which to actually purchase tea instead of gazing at it from afar. After trying the chai blend that was out front to sample, I knew instantly that was what I wanted. When I got to the register to pick out my teas, I was very annoyed that I was basically being nickle and dimed all over the place. First of all, I came in and only wanted tea. I had everything at home needed to brew said tea. That being said, various merchandise were shoved in my face, including tea balls, tea strainers, air tight containers, tea pots, and so forth. I just wanted tea. After finally getting this through to my salesperson, I went forth to buy my teas(White Ayurvedic Chai and something Mate), which, to my dismay were sold in 2 oz minimum containers. Normally, this wouldn’t sound so bad. But for 4 oz of tea, I ended up paying $ 18. Don’t get me wrong, the tea is delicious, sweetened up with a little bit of palm sugar, and I am an extremely happy camper. I guess you do get what you pay for though. The particular tea blend that I got is great for giving you energy without that jittery feeling, and also it helps curb your appetite, which, given the Holiday season coming around, is a pretty good thing. Overall, I would go back to Teavana again, they just really need to improve customer service and have a more structured way of being able to purchase their teas.

First the tea is REALLY good, and I don’t normally love tea. The problem is the way they sell it. They have expensive($ 25) containers they sell, then sell the tea by the pound… and to fill these great containers it’s like $ 90! The small, pre-packaged 2oz sizes are packaged in gift containers with 4 teas and some other stuff driving up the price to $ 70. The secret you need to know before going in is they have hidden baggies behind the counter they don’t tell you about so you can buy small quantities and skip the pricey containers. I’ve been to the Fashion Place location 3 times and was NEVER told of that option… had to hear about it from another out of state Unilocaler.
