OK, OK … It’s not just a cigar and tobacco shop. I am not a smoker anymore, but I know a good smoke shop. This is one.
In the front as you enter they have a curious and lovely gift shop with unusual and funny items. I loved this place. I bout a few souvenirs here before I left. Many are Halloween themed for the upcoming day.
Its crazy here. You WILL find that special stocking stuffer at this place. Funny dolls, kooky toys, wacky books, trippy candy, awesome bric-​à-​brac, and nutzy weido stuff. My kind of place.
Come in an look around. Its worth it. Jonathon was a great help.

I come in here pretty often with my husband, he loves this place. They have a large selection of pipes, cigars, tobacco, lighters, pipe cleaners, and pretty much anything else you’d need. I usually lift all the lids on the tobacco and sniff them and decided which on my husband can get. Some of them smell amazing like Queen Ann’s Revenge but some of the old English style ones can smell putrid.
The staff are all friendly and knowledge about on their products and have no problem chatting your ear off. There’s also a good sale about once a summer where you can get a nice expensive pipe for a good price. Plus the rest of the store is full of fun trinkets. I’ve come in the store before just to shop for a birthday gift in the trinket selection.

I love the Tinder Box. I could spend hours in there just looking at all the pipes and wishing there was room on my paycheck for a new one. They have a decent gift-​shop section also, where the wife peruses while I talk pipes and tobacco. They have a good selection of pipes from cheap to medium priced, to expensive hand-​carved pieces of art. Worth a look!

This place has a good selection of cigars. One of the few places in SLC that does. Staff have always been friendly and helpful to me, even when I am completely lost among all the choices.

Usually I have a good time and a good selection here but for the Kristoff cigar event they really dropped the ball. Not ready when they were supposed to be and didn’t even have packages ready for the event so I could spend my money on their goods. This is why I buy online and should you.
In all fairness after I posted on their Facebook page they did reply and say they were sorry for the late start and if I came down they would try to give me the discounts they offered at the event.

A good humidor with a midrange of selection. Interesting gift ideas fill the shop… and the staff is friendly and generally quite knowledgeable. Of course the downside of any Utah tobacco shop is the tax structure that is slammed on purchases. Not the TBox’s fault.
