This is a nice welcome center and rest area. The restrooms were clean and well maintained. When you enter, the restrooms are on the right and the welcome center is on the left. I highly recommend going to the welcome center. The staff inside are friendly and knowledgeable. Although you can get the usual literature, maps and so forth, they also have an Alabama construction guide that is updated quarterly. It is a great guide to know what’s happening on the roads. In the back, they have some picnic tables and a nice view of the trees. It was nicely shaded too. Overall, I would make sure to stop here to stretch the legs and get the most up to date info on the road construction.

Decent and easy to get to, even if it involved a few turns that probably exist so that people slow down. Still, the idiots backing out of their spaces without looking need a good smack in the head. Welcome to Alabama. Bathroom was clean.

Large facility. Nice back porch to sit and rock. Bathrooms a little dated but clean. Landscaped well. Good separation between truck and car traffic and parking.

This welcome center is located just inside the Alabama/GA border on I-20W. It has a lot of parking, with plenty of picnic areas as well. The actual building looks like it was built in 1975, and same with the bathrooms. This is one of those stops you always want to be on the alert for peeping toms and pedophiles– trust me– I have seen them in action. The facility is fairly clean with the exception of it being somewhat outdated– but it gets the job done. Please be mindful of all of the cops around– they do not play around! I am pretty sure when you get back on the highway, it’s a 55MPH speed limit(blasting zones and such).
