Anthropologie

I’ve shopped at a lot of anthropologie stores, and this one is one of the smaller ones. But I like the layout and I think they usually have a good representation of the current season’s items. Sometimes the customer service is lacking– sometimes I get great help and great service. It really is hit or miss. I love the location at market common, and make a point to stop in whenever I’m in the area.

Love Anthropologie, but customer service is lacking at this location, as another reviewer put it. Don’t expect them to wait on you or even give you the time of day if you aren’t dressed up. I’ve been there after work in my scrubs, and none of the four or five girls working there gave me the time of day until I had been there almost half an hour. Some of us don’t get to look glamorous at work! I felt a little like Julia Roberts’ character in «Pretty Woman», haha. Oh well, I’ll still go there because I love the clothes.

This store is a nice sized Anthro. The sale room was organized. I have shopped at almost every Anthro store on the East coast and I must agree with some of the other reviewers… this location simply lacks in customer service. There were two really nice girls who were helpful, but they were new. I had a return and while I was still shopping in the store and dressing room, the four other sales girls had pilfered through my bag and were actually TRYING ON the items I was returning, before I had the chance to return. I didn’t say anything and I wish I would have. By the time I got to the register, the girl who ended up ringing in my purchase was rude and acted like I was somehow ruining her day by returning clothing. It was VERY off putting. Too bad because it is in a great location at Market Commons and for die hard Anthropologie shoppers, this is all you get in Myrtle Beach. If the girls had kinder attitudes, I would stop in again.

LOVE Anthropologie! Adorable clothing, beautiful home goods, and great ambiance. I can’t say enough good things about the products that these stores carry. However, for this particular location, I can’t really bring myself to give more than 3 stars.
LOTS of dusty merchandise. And not like, oh they are just in the middle of chores and some dust settled, like merchandise that looks as though it hasn’t been touched in months. If your merchandise looks as though you don’t care to properly take care of it, then chances of someone buying it are slim to none.
Also I have to agree with one of the reviews that talked about the staff. The last time that I was in there, there were plenty of staff members working but they all seemed to be engaged in personal conversations with others to even notice the customers (including the store manager). I stood at the register for a about 5 minutes before someone finally walked up. The girl who rang me up was super friendly and nice, it just doesn’t appear that the people working with at this particularl store have work as their first priority. Even more annoying is as I was standing at the register waiting for someone to come over the manager looked at me a couple of times but remained at a bed display, back by the fitting rooms, fluffing the comforter and pillows and chit chatting with the same lady that she had been mindless talking to the entire time that I was in the store. I get that everyone deserves a break, and I don’t expect people to be perfect and drop whatever they are doing to help me, but the staff seems so complacent. C’mon guys… you work at Anthropologie! There aren’t very many fabulous places to work in Myrtle Beach, and you happen to be lucky enough to have a job here! Step it up before this becomes yet another store to go out of MC and you are forced to work at the outlets…

All of the great clothing and items to buy don’t begin to make up for the lack of customer service. Plenty of people working (including manager) but no one who understood Anthropologie. No need to buy anything at this location.
