This is once of the coolest dog parks I have ever taken my mutt to. It is a huge enclosure with a large pond. There are ample benches and tables to sit and watch the pups at play. There is also a fair amount of shade trees. Water isn’t your dog’s thing? Well, fret not. There is also a smaller enclosure without the water access. The only thing that prevents this place from being a five star experience is the lack of maintenance. But that aside, it’s a great place to let my dog run and poop himself out.

This is a great place for your dog when you’re at the Market Commons. Lots of space for your dogs to run. Separate area for larger dogs to run, and a lake! Fenced and convenient. I have 4 dogs, and they are a pack. I’m not sure if it would be wise to bring them all here with other dogs due to their pack mentality. I like the park though, and if I had one or two dogs, I would feel it would be safer for all.

I love it here. Make sure ur dogs have their shots. Oh and if you have a big dog, god forbid if you have the old ladies hecklers who have tiny dogs and when ur big dog tries to play with them they grab their dog in disgust acting like ur big dog is going to kill them. One lady literally said get ur dog out of here(to my German sheppard) she’s trying to kill mine! After my dog was rolling around with hers and playing. I let her know that if my dog wanted to «kill» ur dog he would be a snack and could rip it apart. She was CLEARLY playing and Tried to banish my dog. When get this I also had the biggest and SMALLEST dog at the park and both my dogs were playing doing the same exact thing but my sheppard was a killer and little Maltese was cute. Some people are ignorant… be careful

One of the nicest dog parks! There are two sides– one with a pond that is good for larger, more active dogs. And a smaller side that is ideal for older dogs, puppies and those who prefer a more controlled setting.

Thank you, Town of Myrtle Beach, for an amazing doggie adventure! This park is separated into two different play spaces. The smaller space(«smaller» but still approximately two acres) is shady with lots of benches for pet parents to sit & socialize while dogs sniff, run & play. The larger area has some shaded areas, but mostly in the sun. There is a large pond in the middle of this area where dogs can swim, fetch & frolic. One owner expressed concern about the dogs being in dirty water, but it looked as clean as ponds, rivers ours accesses at home so we weren’t concerned. We discouraged dogs from drinking pond water which was easy to do because there are dog drinking fountains accessible on both sides. Yes, the dogs get wet & dirty. So we bring towels & wipe them down before heading home. Our dogs were exhausted after chasing & playing with new dog friends. We visited this park every day we were in town. Definitely will be back!

Great dog park! Nice big pond that my Aussie loves. Free poop baggies available with trash bins placed all around the pond. Nice walking path. Quiet area and calming feel. It was beautiful at sunset. Everyone I encountered was nice and all dogs were pleasant. Not much poop piles which was a pleasant surprise. Don’t forget to be a good dog owner. Clean up, keep an eye out, and be the leader! Don’t be afraid to approach other owners with concerns, sometimes they just need to be asked to prevent behavior problems.

This park is AMAZEBALLS!!! We came here on vacation with our two pups. We are from the NYC area so an 11 acre park with a lake just for dogs is paradise! We came for an hour and stayed for many more. The other dogs and their humans were so nice and playfull. They loved it so much that we are going back again today. There are benches to sit ans shady spots to get out of the sun. There is also a fenced off park area under trees that doesn’t have lake access if you prefer. I had read some reviews about this park being dirty, but in my opinion, if you go to a dog park and expect never to run into dog poo… you’re an idiot. Just pick it up and keep it moving. You are always going to run into people that don’t clean up, but don’t let it ruin your time here, it’s too amazing! Ps they also have doggie fountains for drinking.
