Beach Bums

My younger brother purchased swim trunks from this store in myrtle beach and when he got to our condo they had a hole in them. My girlfriend and I were already going shopping so offered to take him into town and buy different ones and we would also return the ones he bought. When he tried to return them, the «manager» Martha retaliated with belligerent behavior. Raised her voice with him and called him a liar saying she checks everything before she hangs them so she knew it was his fault and not theirs, therefore wouldn’t return him his money. She forced him to keep them or get a different pair.
I then approached her after my brother and girlfriend went to the car and I politely asked her ma’am for why she treated him that way. He did nothing to her, including not retaliating when she called him out. She got an attitude with me I asked for her name and she threatened to call the cops on me. So I stood and waited and she finally gave me her name (whether it is real or not who knows) and I quietly left the building.
Lost our potential business since we were already there. I also suggest no one shops there as they have no tact, manner, and all of this behavior from Martha (the manager) represents poor business ethics.

The food came out quick for a party of 8 of us. No one had any complaints and everyone cleaned their plates, burgers, seafood, and drinks were all good. Live music was a nice touch and you get a great view of the ocean while enjoying your meal. We had very decent service, so perhaps that portion is hit or miss like any causal beach bar? I would definitely eat there again and have a few drinks. Only one thing I didn’t like. Happy Hour ends at 6:00pm. No one ends Happy Hour at 6:00pm any more. Move it back to 7:00pm and you get more customers at the 6 – 7:00pm time frame.

It’s actually called Bummz. Good beach bar with outdoor seating and good view of the ocean. Live music most nights during the summer months.

We have visited this bar/​grille several times over the years. I can say that it has been around a while, so they must be doing something right?!
Unfortunately, I can also say that the service has gotten pretty slow, and maybe even BAD. They serve grill food and seafood. I usually get the fried shrimp and fries.
The drinks are ok, but I stick with beer or wine because I have not had a mixed drink here that has made me want another.
My last visit in particular we sat outside at 2 tables. The view at this bar is beautiful. It is almost sitting directly on the beach. There is sometimes a live band playing so it gives it a «cool ambiance». We had an adult table, and my teens had some friends with them so they had their own table.
It started raining, so we had to move inside. Only because of space reasons did we sit at the same table. Now keep in mind, our teens had their own money and so did their friends. We had HORRIBLE service, and I can only assume that waitress was new. We could not even get a refill on our water (let alone a bar drink).
At the end of the night, the waitress charged us 18% gratuity for being a large group. Um… of course, this is standard and that is fine, but I refuse to pay a tip to a waitress that only brought us our food. When we pointed out that prior we had 2 tables, and they put us together without a choice — the waitress did not attempt to fix the check. Only after we requested a manager did they correct it. We still tipped her, but NOT at 18%!?
All in all… if you want a good view, and average food — go for it! Otherwise, keep it moving !!

Came by to buy a swim suit for my best friend since she wanted a new one for the trip, and came by later on in the evening for the mini mart that was connected right next to it.
Most of all the shops on that strip are ALL the same and they have ALL the same stuff. I know this because we practically went into EVERY shop. 0. o
The guy who was checking us out was very friendly and funny. A bit bold, but still funny nonetheless.

Pretty cool place stuck between two huge hotels. We sat outside looking at the ocean view for a little while. Then we had to pick a table to place our order. I had the fried shrimp, mashed potatoes, and veggies. They we’re very good! My boss had the grouper and thought it was pretty decent.
The view is great, plus they have live music that is pretty good.
