Flip Flops

First, I didn’t eat here just went to watch some nba playoff games. Nice place with cold beer. Great because we were able to walk there. Staff was very friendly. Our waitress the 2^nd night Trish was awesome, had a cold beer for me before my previous one was gone.

Seems to be a laid back place, had lunch with my wife. Walking distance from the condo. Friendly service, but food average at best though. Drinks were good, had some kick. Sweet potato fries were good. prices not bad for being across the street from the beach. Not a «good to» place but adequate

Not bad for a quick sandwich. Walking distance from our place, running a half tomorrow so good club w sweet pot fries! Staff was super nice. Place is clean and food was quick. But loud but it’s a bar so…

Came here for happy hour snack as we had a late lunch and just wanted a snack. Ordered a loaded nachos. They used liquid fake cheese and hamburg that didn’t taste very good. Ugh! Won’t go here again. I didn’t even take a picture which is surprising for me… the porch looked better than the indoors did.

Best waitstaff in Myrtle! The servers are the best! This was within walking distance from our condo and we went a few nights. The servers ended up knowing our drink orders when we returned. They were all very friendly and any of them could get you a drink and add it to your tab.
The drinks were good. The patio was great.
They had live music (Steve & Susie) and it was very enjoyable. They played a wide variety of music and were also very friendly.

I’ve been coming to myrtle beach for 15 years and I have visited a lot of bars and flip flops had the worst service of any bar I have ever been to the bartender had a bad attitude if I hated my job that bad I would quit it was a male bartender on 8÷31÷15 a real prick drove me and my friend away I can spend my money elsewhere

No idea what the food is like but I wouldn’t consider this kid-​friendly, it’s a bar. Waited on the outside deck for 10 minutes after getting a menu inside. Noone showed up. If your looking for a bar. Great. Otherwise move on.

Good food, great atmosphere, Kid friendly. Waitresses are super nice! Sweet potato fries were excellent! You can turn anything into a wrap, I had a buffalo chicken wrap that was very tasty. Just across from the beach and there are souvenir stores and a place to get ice cream behind it.

Best place near Sands Ocean Club. We went there every day for either lunch or dinner. Short walk from the beach for a lunch break or dinner if you don’t want to drive anywhere. The live music was good most evenings. Food was affordable and good. Drinks were better than Ocean Annie’s. Deck was shady, breezy, and laid back. Not too crowded like the Boardwalk. Most servers were friendly and attentive. You can’t go wrong with the sweet potato fries and a frozen margarita!

Good for what it is – which is a beachy bar with okay food.

Food was ok. Margarita was watered down. I liked the deck outside. Service was fast. Waitress was nice.

When I went I didn’t get the friendliest of waitresses but I love the out door patio it had a good atmosphere. Good crispy wings, nice fresh salad, and great spinach dip good presentation with the tomatoes on the top of it.

Food was excellent! Service was great. Not the greatest beer selection — they don’t have any draft beer. But still a great night on the beach.

Haven’t eaten here but the service and atmosphere is great. The outside deck is a nice place to have a drink and catch some live entertainment.

Excellent place to watch sports and enjoy the beach atmosphere. Incredible staff, a lot of locals. Food was excellent and great pricing, definitely going to be returning when I vacation in myrtle Beach!

Great Staff, Great Uni’s, Lots of Energy!!! Really good beach bar! One of the few bars in that area that has the NFL and MLB packages! Love love love!

Forget going if you’re tourists. You get watered down drinks! Locals get same price but better liquor. The guy running the place explained this as «locals always get top shelf». Sorry but when you spent a week at one place next door, maybe you would come back! If you were treated like a local. DON’T GO HERE IF YOU ARE TOURIST. The guy who runs place will tell you like he told me, tourists don’t get anything else unless they ask. He never offered any options when drinks were ordered. Read my reviews, I’m not new at traveling or bars. Go to ocean Annie’s instead at least you get an option. And you’ll pay for cheap booze at normal pRice!
There should be a zero rating for places like this. If you do go, I hope Ed is no longer part of this establishment. Remember this is a tourist area, and tourist have money and choices. Be sure to use yours.

I visited Flip Flops with a bachelor party and had such a fun weekend in general that it carried over to this bar.
It’s a typical semi-​dive bar found in any city. The location directly across from the beach is what differentiates it. The food is average bar food. We ordered nachos, chicken tenders, wings, coconut shrimp, mozzarella sticks and french fries. Nothing was special, but nothing was horrible.
The place was packed and there was one waitress, who was also the bartender. You can imagine the disaster this could have been, and at first it was. We nearly left after 15 minutes went by and no one asked us for drinks, and our food took over an hour. Fortunately she had called a friend as a fill-​in server (who owns the Boston bar in Charlotte) and he took our orders. He also bought our whole group of 14 a shot, for our troubles. That alone is worth an extra star.
This is a fun, cheap bar to pound drinks at, but don’t expect amazing food. Maybe the service just had a bad day. We still preferred Flip Flops to Ocean Annies.
