Cutesy. Type of place a main character in a Nicholas Sparks novel would take his love interest in his flashback of his teenage-self-having-a-first-date montage. The staff was super friendly and everyone seemed happy to be there. It had the ambiance of an old timey saloon mixed with your grandmother’s dining room. Not necessarily a bad thing! It had a bunch of cute arcade games in the back that lots of little kids wrapped their interests into. My favorite part was the love teeter machine and the psychic one. They both had that old 1960’s carnival theme going on. As for ice cream, it was fine. A bit pricey, but the fun of just going to an ice cream parlor made it worth it to me. Fun place!

Awesome ice cream! I loved the dream cone with nuts. My husband loves black cherry & said theirs was the best! Would highly recommend.

Definitely pricey, at almost $ 4 for single scoop. But the staff was friendly, and the flavors were a plenty. It was hard to pick from the over 20 choices, but ultimately I went with the ‘banana pudding’ & ‘peanut butter cup’ Both of which the worker had said were her favorites. They went really well together, and I’d definitely recommend them as a duo. The banana was probably my favorite of the two, as it is a little non-traditional and festive.

While the flavors were creative(or, rather, a nice mix of creative and classic), the taste left a bit to be desired in my scoop combination of chocolate peanut butter and cookies & cream. A little bit of freezer burn, chocolate with frozen chunks of peanut butter(rather than an even distribution of flavor) and kind of a flat taste overall. My parents’ ice cream dishes TOTALLY made up for this — the banana pudding ice cream was outstanding and my mom’s classic coffee-vanilla sundae with caramel sauce was off the charts. Wish I ordered differently, but I’d go again!

I’m from out of town and noticed a lot of ice cream shops in Myrtle. There were a lot of flavors here but I think the quality and taste is equivalent to the 5 gallon generic brands you can buy at the store. Got the coffee flavor without sampling it because you can’t go wrong with coffee right? WRONG. Tasted sweet and artificial.

Great atmosphere, workers, and ice cream! Can’t wait to return for more ice cream to try another one of the yummy flavors!

I highly recommend the Strawberry Cheesecake. If I didn’t have to drive all the way back to Texas, I’d be taking a quart home with me! The atmosphere was adorable and staff was friendly. Loved the classic video games in the back. Mrs. Pac Man FTW!

While on vacation we come here for our nightly dairy. The banana pudding and the praline pecan are our favorites. Crunchy nilla wafers in the banana pudding and crunchy pralines! Nothing soggy in the ice cream! Stellar!

Awesome ice cream! I got the birthday cake, my husband got chocolate peanut butter, and my friend got cotton candy. We were all really impressed with how good it was. Definitely the best ice cream we have had in a long time!!!

There are lots of ice cream options in myrtle beach and Kirks has a few locations. But what appears to be a mom and pop ice cream shop that hand makes thier flavors, it’s just a front for a regional brand. The ice cream was average and the store was a little dumpy. The bathrooms were disgusting.

We absolutely loved Kirk’s. The restaurant is comfortable and inviting, and the ice cream was excellent. What else do you want?

Lots of variety. Felt like a kid in a candy store the first time going in I will say that the 2nd time I got a milk shake I feel like the milk had expired because it tasted very«off». All the workers we very nice!

Only reason I didn’t give this gem a 5 was because of the musty old bar smell. Staff was super and there was an endless variety of flavors! Banana pudding was delicious!

Four stars, but mainly for ambience. While the variety of ice cream was decent and the evenness of payment(I payed $ 5 even for a single scoop waffle cone) was strangely satisfying, the $ 5 price hike could only be justified by homemade ice cream, not the bluebell ice cream the parlor provides. There are two sections in the store, one for ordering and one for sitting, and the latter made up for the former. Complete with a creepy nonstop mechanical horse ride and a few old school arcade games, the sitting section provides a cute old timey feel to the place. Overall it was a nice experience.

The ice cream here is terrific! Just the thing to help one cool down on a toasty, hot day! We had the Ricky Road, Death by Chocolate, Coffee & the Peanut Butter Chocolate. Every bite was delicious and the service was fast.

While I cannot confirm that kirks ice cream is indeed the brainchild of cpt. James kirk, I can say that if baskin Robbins and Ben and Jerry’s had a love child it would be this place. Great stuff.

Great selection of hard ice cream. They make a few classic sundaes and milkshakes. Big sitting area with a classic Pac-man and Galaga combo. If you enjoy ice cream it is virtually impossible not to like this place.

Great place to take the family on a night out. Several older arcade machines to keep kids busy while waiting for your order, or talking. The ice cream is not my favorite but not bad.
