The Roasted Bean

Editing my review and upping my star rating from 4 stars to 5! I absolutely love this place! I’ve been here 3 times now — I’ve tried the pastries: raspberry cheese danish and the donut-​croissant, I’ve had a bagel with cream cheese, and a bagel sausage egg and cheese. The food is amazing, the employees are so so nice! This is a very cute coffee shop! Very small, good quality food.
The lady working (may have been the owner?) said she makes the veggie cream cheese they serve on bagels, and a lot of the coffee flavor syrups she makes herself. So it’s nice to know what’s really in those ingredients.
Free ice coffee refills while sitting in the café. You can’t leave then come back for refills which obviously makes sense. But if you’re dining in the café, you can ask for a refill before taking off! She did not mention if hot coffee was the same or not? So I am unsure if hot coffee gets refills as well.
I thought prices were fair. I got an iced coffee and a raspberry cheese Danish, and it came to $ 7 and change. Seems fair for a small town coffee café. I’d go back if I’m in the market common area around breakfast/​brunch time!

Amazing service, amazing coffee. I wish there was one local to me. On site coffee roasting, bullet proof coffee, cappuccino, lattes, pour overs, if it’s coffee related, you can probably get it there.

We came in for breakfast on a nice Saturday morning, the service was fast, the food is amazing and the shop itself is great too! The bagel I had is the best one I’ve found in myrtle so far. I highly recommend coming here if you’re looking for a great bagel sandwich and some good coffee.
They also have some great outdoor seating that’s shaded in the mornings!

I love this place. Every trip I make to Market Common, I stop by for coffee, a sandwich, and friendly service. Great people own and work there.

Excellent coffee. Bullet proof coffee, healthy green smoothies, yummy sandwiches, a lovely environment, and the people that work and run the place are awesome! Best place in Myrtle Beach to get coffee and in the best area too!

Oh my gosh. This place. Where do I start? The BEST customer service I’ve ever had a coffee shop. I think it was the owner who took our order. She was so sweet!
Cozy, cute little indoor area with a nice selection of outdoor seating. I tried my very first latte here (currently sipping it as I type) and it’s delicious.
They home make everything including the coffee.
It is a very, very welcoming atmosphere. I wish I lived closer, I would definitely be a regular.

In town for a conference. haven’t had a drop of real coffee in three days… feigning for a real coffee house experience. nothing within walking distance of Beach… Unilocal it!
Three miles away quaint little coffee house. great French roast. split a tasty breakfast sandwich with my dude. left very happy. Will return.

Small, but a European feel. Cute breakfast place for those who are up early for a bullet coffee. And a choice of bagels and croissants with everything your heart desires to top it with. Worth a visit.

Awesome coffee and breakfast! Can’t forget the friendly employees! If I have the choice I always go with a roaster over Starbucks.

Nice to finally have some bulletproof coffee on vacation again! Glad we searched for coffee on Unilocal and ventured away from the beach options! In a cute shopping area. Check it out if you want to get away from the cheesy tourist shops…

Let me tell you southern hospitality is a real thing. I’m from Chicago where I’m not used to people being this friendly. At the Roasted Bean, the baristas and cashiers were all very friendly and helpful. I ordered a soy dark chocolate cherry latte which was pretty tasty. I was worried the cherry flavor would be too artificial and overpower the latte but it didn’t at all. My latte tasted like a chocolate covered cherry with espresso. Delicious! I would definitely come back if I were to visit Myrtle Beach again.

The coffee was alright, a little pricey for such a small cup that wasn’t well made. The iced latte had no foamed milk. There was so much ice and syrup and not enough milk/​espresso. It’s not bad if you’re in a pinch but if you’re not a regular they really don’t pay attention to you!

Whenever I go to myrtle beach for work, I’m always overwhelmed with the amount of business that pander crap to families on vacation. It’s hard to find great quality service and food with a mom and pop vibe, but the Roasted Bean offers that. This is a true local joint! Between 8 – 9, locals greet each other and the business owners while grabbing delicious and sustainably grown coffee. They serve fresh berries with their sandwiches, have a wide selection of drinks, and just have a lot of small little touches that make this my new favorite coffee joint in Myrtle Beach. My advice is to grab a cold brew, a good book, and enjoy people watching and a beautiful moment of self indulgence here!

Very pleasant service but mediocre sandwiches and lukewarm coffee. We fought a fly inside during our meal, which prompted us to exit before enjoying the last of our lattes… delicious salted caramel, which was one of 24 flavors. The egg on my turkey, egg, cheese, and avacado on croissant minus the avacado which was obviously forgotten, was microwaved – no apparent griddle in sight. My friend’s sausage, egg, and cheese (no turkey sausage option) was made on a fresh bagel but also just ok. Probably wouldn’t stop by for a second try but wanted to give what appeared to be a local family owned business a try.

Down here on vacation we decided by the third day we wanted some coffee after watching the sunrise. I looked on Unilocal to find a local coffee shop and came across this one. Its located in a cute neighborhood and walking in, its such a unique shop. The staff is run by a husband and a wife and they roast their coffee beans in the shop! They have their own roaster and everything.
My boyfriend got the titanium bullet proof coffee-​your choice of coffee + coconut oil + grassfed butter. Soooooo good and healthy!
I got the salty Carmel latte with almond milk. Delicious!
So if your in town and looking for some caffeine this place is a must! Locally owned and great service.

So. My husband and I were in search of GOOD coffee and breakfast while on vacation, and were on our way to the Starbucks at Piggly Wiggly when we spotted this gem of a place and made a spontaneous decision to stop. So glad we did. Not enough good I can say about this place — but I will try:
Owners: Beyond lovely. Kind, knowledgable, friendly and free refills on iced coffee! Interacting with them was half of the joy of this experience.
Food: We ended up eating breakfast there twice and both got egg sandwiches. I recommend the bacon, egg and cheese on croissant (which were homemade and delicious).
Coffee: Perfect. So good we went back a 2^nd time our first day for more — and then bought some of their coffee grounds to bring home. Been enjoying all week.
Ambience: It was delightful to get away from downtown M.B. to this cozy place in a cute shopping center. Small, home-​ish vibe to it with good atmosphere.
People: Do not go to Starbucks! Support this great local business. You will not regret it. You’re welcome in advance. ;-)

We were super stoked to find this place on Unilocal just miles away from our campsite. Such a cute little store in a cute little neighborhood. My husband and I are generally pretty picky with our food and coffee selection. He travels a bit and I make just about anything and everything at home. So it’s least to say that I’m hard to please in that department.
The owners of the shop were so kind to us and our dog during our trip there and even gave him a treat and let us top off our coffee before we left. The coffee was roasted to perfection and my sausage egg and cheese croissant was cooked just how I like it (it surprises me people can actually screw that up). Long review short, 5 stars for customer service, food + coffee, and ambiance. Will return when we go back to Myrtle Beach!

I went with a titanium bullet proof coffee — excellent… I have never had bullet proof coffee, so I can’t compare it to anything, but it was very tasty…

Wonderful family owns this cute shop, they roast their own beans inside! It smells so great. The coffee is fantastic.
The frozen drinks are really good too, I had the frozen hot chocolate. Pick one up before heading to the local Farmers Market on Saturday mornings behind the main street.
Its a little bit more than you’d spend at another place but you know its SHOP LOCAL and not going to the corporate giant (which won’t be named) that ruins your drinks every time anyway…
The exterior is very nice for sitting and chatting. Its got a romantic but casual feel.
