It’s the smell of Death in the air.
Office Depot is a «dead man walking», based on an outdated, pre-​internet business model that has failed to adapt to changing trends in business.
These office supply big box stores thrived in a period when large companies would buy overpriced supplies for the convenience of dealing with purchase orders and supply quantities. Now, the internet is a great equalizer.
Wander the (mostly empty) aisles and you’ll find overpriced computers, accessories, and supplies. The only time it’s worthwhile to shop here is during those periods when they run deep discounts — which, in turn, reinforces the customer perception that the merchandise is overpriced the rest of the time.
Office Depot could combat Showrooming and the internet competition by offering stellar sales and service staff armed with comprehensive product knowledge. But, that doesn’t happen …

My second time using print center. I wanted large print mounted on to foam board. My first experience was picking up a poster that was wrinkled over from poor mounting. The second experience was getting the same thing, but upon pickup the product wasn’t mounted. And worse than that an ink fingerprint smudge was on it. The supervisor had to mount the boards himself and then reprint the whole thing when we discovered the smudge. Get copies here, they’re hard to screw up, but from the utter lack of care these employees take, I’m sure they’ll find a way.

Since this store was redone, it has become a pleasure to shop here. It now is bright, clean, and well-​labeled. Unlike in the past, there are staff people available to help, and I no longer feel as if I have to wander up and down long aisles half-​dazed before I can find what I’m looking for.
The discount cards I get in the mail are usually a pretty good deal, and they help offset the higher prices for items that are often cheaper at the Big Box around the corner. This Office Depot is now a pleasure to shop in!

This Office Depot is spacious, clean, and the staff is friendly and ready to help! Sure, the paper clips are overpriced, but it’s a one shop stop for all things office and school. You can also purchase furniture and make copies. They’ve gotten smart now and they sell snacks, drinks, and even greeting cards. Love it here!
