Not the best of the staff. Staff was okay but very slow. Manager was worse. Glad this location is now shutdown. Hope something better comes up in that place.

I went on Saturday to staples off Ryders Lane, East Brunswick, just before 5:00pm. I needed to print 30 labels, this hardly takes about 5 minutes. Lady behind the counter told me that they close at 7:00pm and she was very busy and will not have time to print labels for me. I wonder, what could have been so important that for next two hours she would have been so busy. So much for customer service, may be she is an immigrant to USA. I will not visit there anytime soon.

Please explain something to me. All I need is 2 copies of a document. If it was black and white I would’ve copied the damn thing myself but because it’s in color — I have to wait for a certified monkey to do it for me. Why can’t they just have a color copier accessible for self service? Then she tells me it’s going to take a bit of time. Why in the world would 2 color copies take a bit of time when it’s only 2 stupid copies and I’m the only customer standing here at this point. For the past 5 minutes I was waiting for her to help me, her and the other certified monkey were talking and just staring at me. As if I interrupted their conversation. My God how messed up of me to do such a thing. Seriously what’s happened to customer service? Please give me patience to not reach over the counter and express myself Please explain one more thing. How do you charge tax on a 59 cent copy? I thought if it’s less than a dollar you don’t get charged tax? Can someone please elaborate on that for me???

THEBEST manager and staff. Why? Customer service is key here and because of that they just made me one happy bride-to-be. Their District Manager taught them well! ;P If they can make a sale, they never turn a customer away. The staff is very knowledgeable especially that the associate helping us has been working there for 10 years! Must be a great company to work for with very little turnover. Awesome experience.

The manager here one day was so awful at customer service that I almost put my things down in the aisle and left(something I would normally NEVER consider doing). I went in and got some items, and I also noticed one of their displays for children had a very derogatory sentence with an expletive at the end written in Sharpie. An assistant manager was nearby, so I just mentioned it to him(normally I don’t care, but I felt bad because there were numerous small children around the display since it was back to school week), but he laughed at me and didn’t do anything about it afterward yet was goofing off afterward with fellow coworkers. Not a good impression. Afterwards, I got in line. The line was poorly defined and snaked around some displays. Only one register was open. I was third in line. A new cashier opened up but no one was getting out of line — though those in front of me saw it happen(they had already put their things on the belt). So I lock eyes with the employee and ask if he’s open. He says yes and to come on over. As I start to walk over to check out, a manager comes out of nowhere and blocks me from getting to the register. He says, «the lines must go in order and you are not allowed to cut.» And I said calmly, «I understand but no one was headed over there and I asked the employee and he told me I could come there.» This manager then pointed and rudely told me to get back in line. Now I wasn’t in the business of causing a scene, and honestly, wasn’t trying to be rude to the patrons in front of me, so I get back in line. He then goes and gets the person next in line in the original row, makes her pick up all the stuff she had placed on the belt, and go over to the newly opened register. At this time, the original line had increased to be quite long, but I’m 2nd now. After yelling at me and literally blocking my path, the manager walks away and what do all the people behind me do? They cut the line and go to the employee’s register that had just opened up. In the long run, the person ahead of me was doing a complicated return, and it took me another 15 minutes to get out of there. It was so immature of the manager to think he has some great power over me. I’m sorry but you’re the manager of Staples. Get over yourself. I will take all further business to the East Brunswick store, where managers appear to have brains and etiquette.

They have very helpful staff! When my family happened to buy what was a defective item that was not any fault of staples but was a manufacturing glitch(cross pen), they checked the error and when they saw we were correct, went out of their way to correct the problem. We were given a new and working product. They were also very friendly. The store is way better than the Route 18 Staples which is tiny in comparison. Keep up the good work Staples. They value the customers and go out of their way to make them happy. Great job and we will be back for all the great Staples products. Thanks Again!!!
