Gross. Fried seafood was super bland and not crisp, I tossed the plate(fish & shrimp) after a few bites. Cole slaw was swimming in mayo and fries were ok at best. I love Sandcastle on Folly and go out of my way for that place, I was hoping Marvin’s would be a closer alternative coming from downtown; no such luck.

Great seafood market combo fried fish spot in N. Charleston. These guys will fry their fish up for a brisk carryout business. We split shrimp and fish, but had to drive back downtown to eat. Fish was tasty but probably needs to be eaten quicker. Shrimp just right amount of shrimp flavor and the breading was solid. Solid choice!

Marvin’s is a great place for fresh seafood. We’ve been there twice for oysters but they have a full selection of fresh fish, crabs, shrimp, etc. All nicely priced. They do offer a few cooked items, but this is a seafood market not a restaurant, where you buy seafood to take home and prepare. This is our go-to place for seafood.

The go to seafood market in North Charleston filled with every type of fresh seafood you can think of and at shockingly reasonable prices. Two steps from the fresh seafood case is the back counter taking orders for fried fish plates, fried crabs, oysters, etc. Check them out if you’re in the area.
